With a very short drive to and from the airport, you have many restaurants and shopping to choose from in the Tukwila area compared to staying near or around SeaTac. Luckily rooms were available. Very clean and comfortable, I didn't get to use all the facilities as this was just an overnight stay. My room had 2 double beds, mini fridge, large TV, black out curtains, medium size bathroom with plenty of extra towels, coffee maker, iron & ironing board, equipped with central air con and an in-room safe for securing your belongings. Front desk was extremely warm and welcoming. Nearby eateries such as Westfield SouthCenter Mall, Cheesecake Factory, Olive Garden, Nordstrom, AMC Theaters, and many other restaurants and businesses. At the time of check-out mid-afternoon, the surrounding area seemed very suburban and many business establishments all around. I wasn't awake in time for complimentary breakfast as I had come in from a very long and tiring flight the day before. But should have woke up at least an hour before it stopped serving breakfast at 10am.

The front desk would lock the lobby late at night and if they were concerned about safety, but they were always there at the desk available to let me in when I needed. The staff was outstanding, 6 out of 5 stars! Jersey was wonderful and so patient when setting up mine and my co-workers reservation (that was a bit complicated). Trinh was the staff that was often there during our stay in the mornings and she was so helpful in processing important paperwork for our business trip to ensuring our housekeeping needs were met daily. Finally, the location was perfect since our work was based near the SEATAC airport, but also only a short drive to Downtown Seattle. We were a quick 15 minute drive to the SEATAC airport or Downtown Seattle in this location (dependent on traffic, going to the airport we were often traveling in the opposite direction of traffic for our work schedule). Some great options for food just a short walk away from the Georgetown Inn, and also the Georgetown Brewery was only a short 10 minute walk away as well! Highly recommend staying here!

I probably would have chosen the nearby Hyatt instead since it looked nicer, but they don't serve free breakfast there. Residence Inn Seattle South/Renton is located on Lake Washington Blvd across from Gene Coulon Park, not too far from The Landing. It's located next to Hampton Inn & Suites, which also serves free breakfast. When you arrive, you'll see a breezeway before the parking lot; the front desk is on the right hand side of that breezeway. There's a door on the left hand side that you can only access with your room key; that door can be useful if your room is on the northern half of the inn. Checking in was simple. Brittany (sp?) was the one who checked me in and gave me a brief overview of the hotel from the free breakfast to the housekeeping every other day as well as mentioning that a card would need to remain inserted in the slot by the front door in order to keep the lights on in the room. When I got into my room, the TV was on to welcome me to Residence Inn. There weren't any issues with my room after my inspection and also taking photos to add to this page. However, one of my groupmates did mention he had to switch rooms due to the toilet not flushing. He showed me video of that so I could see it for myself. Housekeeping is done every other day, so during my three-night stay, housekeeping was only done once. One of the desks in each room has a sign reminding guests of this policy. There's another sign on that desk that has a QR code where you can leave tips for their hardworking staff. There is free WiFi and breakfast for guests of this Residence Inn! WiFi info is posted at the front desk where you check in. Breakfast starts at 6:30 AM on weekdays and 7 AM on weekends. Each morning I had breakfast, they had scrambled eggs in the first heating well, but the three heating wells after that would vary. One had meat patties one day. One had breakfast sandwiches another day. There were some potatoes on one of the mornings, but I'll never forget the pork bacon on my last morning. That's only because the rest of my group went to get breakfast elsewhere, but I stayed behind to get not one, but two helpings of the pork bacon lol. Breakfast also includes the usual suspects like bread, bagels, fruit, yogurt, milk, and a juice machine. I was satisfied with the quality of the breakfast, and they even had some coffee in front as well. For some reason, I couldn't pour any liquid out of one of the dairy pitchers. One of the staff members notice me struggling with that, and she showed me that the lid was rotated the wrong way. After she rotated it, I was finally able to pour some liquid into my coffee. In addition to coffee, they also have dispensers for decaf and hot water. They do have a bar in the same place where breakfast is held, but they also have a food menu per state law. On my second evening there, I went down and ordered a barbecue chicken flatbread. Actually, I would have preferred the barbecue pork, which was $1 less, but I guess they didn't have any of the pork left? But I was more than willing to try the barbecue chicken knowing that is California Pizza Kitchen's signature pizza. Initially, they prepared my order to be eaten at the bar even though I would have preferred to eat in my room instead; the staff happily obliged and even offered me some utensils to go with my takeout box. Shoutout to the bartender, Brianna, who told me she used to live close to where I live now in SoCal! I also appreciate how they were willing to hold my luggage until I was done with work that day. However, when I tried to check out of the hotel on my last morning in Renton, there was no staff present to check me out. It took a minute or two before Geoffrey (sp?) checked me out, which was as simple as handing him my room keys. I didn't even need to say my name; all I had to provide was my room number and a preference for receipt delivery. I requested for them to hold my luggage until I returned later that day, and Geoffrey provided me with a numbered tag that I needed to return to get my luggage back; I don't know what I'd do if I were to lose that tag. I returned later in the afternoon where a couple of different front desk agents struggled to get my luggage back. It took them a while to figure out where my luggage was, even after I mentioned Geoffrey's name. Luckily, it didn't take much more than a few minutes before I finally got my luggage back. Overall, it was a decent stay at Residence Inn, and I can see why one of my groupmates recommended it. Bed was comfortable, and so was the sofa. No issues with the bathroom either, but the clock on the microwave didn't show the correct time. It was off by an hour and a few minutes, likely due to Daylight Savings Time.

I would like to file a complaint about one of your breakfast attendants in the Orchard Room on July 3 at approximately 8:45 a.m. My experience was extremely uncomfortable and unlike anything I have ever experienced at a hotel. In fact I don't think I ever experienced in my life and I been to many hotels! I arrived about 10 minutes before breakfast ended because I wanted to grab a croissant and a coffee to go. I was the only guest in the breakfast area at the time. From the second I walked in, the breakfast attendant was staring directly at me. Then she literally started FOLLOWING ME around and COMPLAINING on everything I was doing. Like she was coming up to me and literally RIGHT NEXT TO ME and staring at what I was getting and then glaring at my face. WTF. Like for example, when i was getting the croissant, she was angry I was using a napkin to carry the croissant instead of my hand...I literally paid $170 for the night and I can't use a napkin to carry my croissant?? I never had someone do that at a hotel before, it was inappropriate and super unprofessional. She had an angry and crazed bizarre look on her face, just angrily glaring at me and literally following me around the small room. It was SUPER unsettling and unhinged behavior, I was the only one in the room and that made it more uncomfortable. None of the other staff members I interacted with during my stay behaved this way. Every other employee was friendly, welcoming, and professional. While I was getting coffee, she came up to me and asked why I was using two coffee cups. I had simply placed one cup over the other because the coffee was very hot and I wanted to make it easier to carry. Being questioned over something so minor, especially after being stared at and followed around the room, felt completely unnecessary and inappropriate. At that point, I decided to leave the breakfast area because I no longer felt comfortable staying there. As I was walking out, she sarcastically called out, "Thank you for coming," which felt mocking given how she had treated me. Then she started following me around again after I didn't want to talk to her because I was so creeped out!!! For identification purposes, she appeared to be an older thin woman with pale skin, glasses, and faint reddish eyebrows. I have never had a hotel employee stare at me, follow me around a breakfast area, and then question me over using two coffee cups. It made me feel uncomfortable, unwelcome, and singled out. I hope management reviews this incident and reminds staff that guests should be able to enjoy breakfast without feeling like they are being monitored or intimidated. Everything felt like there was effort and care here. Our room was great with excellent air conditioning. The breakfast was standard continental breakfast but very nice with fresh food, a couple of hot items (the biscuits and gravy were great) and it was very nice. What really makes this place a winner is you have a jack in the box/mini-mart right next door and you have a Denny's right next door on the other side! Such a convenience to wander of to the JITB/Mini-Mart after the races and pickup some cold drinks and tacos/burgers. There's also tons of other restaurants and stores like McDonalds, Dominos, Burger King, Los Margaritas Mexican and a bunch of others within sight. For travelers, this convenience is spectacular and rare to have it so easily accessible and nearby. I didn't get a chance to see the pool area but I am sure it is as nice as the rest of the hotel. A solid 10/10 experience and we'll be sure to book here again anytime we plan to go have fun up at Emerald Downs again!

Coast Gateway seemed to fit the bill. My room was quite fine for one night. Noise transference in the hallway was real, but with earplugs I was comfortable. I received a bagged to-go breakfast since I checked out before breakfast began (I wasn't offered the to-go, I had to ask for it), so I can't comment on the in-house breakfast. Communications about details of arrival and pick up at Sea-Tac and receiving an email receipt with the front desk were a little frustrating. For a new traveler or a foreign person, it wouldn't have been a fun experience. The fast shuttle to the airport was great.

The Motel 6 was further away from the city, but it was worth it to drive a little bit to stay at someplace nicer and cleaner.
