Great staff, spotless rooms, and a layout that forgot we need bathroom privacy Hotel Le Blue has some real highlights. It's in a prime location / easy to access, close to everything you'd want in Brooklyn, and honestly one of the friendliest front desk crews I've encountered. They're warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful. The rooms are also pretty clean-- kudos to housekeeping. Also parking onsite which is always a huge plus .. but be mindful it's only like 10 spots max and first come / first serve kinda thing. Now let's talk about the layout. The rooms are modern (yes) but functionally awkward. The bathrooms are right there .. no soundproofing, no real barrier, and very little privacy. You'll know exactly what your partner ate for dinner. Literally. Big ick! As a first responder, one thing gave me pause? Their balcony doors open fully, and there's not much in place to prevent accidents. It's a beautiful touch, but it could become a safety risk--especially if guests have been drinking or are traveling with kids. A locking mechanism or added safety feature would go a long way. TLDR: Pros: Excellent staff, spotless rooms, prime location for BK. Cons: ZERO bathroom privacy, oddly laid out space, and some legitimate safety concerns with the balconies. Would I stay again? Possibly ... with a solo trip or someone I'm okay sharing everything with lol

I identified Hotel Le Bleu for my stay during my getaway to Brooklyn because of its distance from sights and activities of my interest. Out of three other hotel options noted, it was the rating, and the fact that it was affordable as an Expedia package deal that won me over along with it being in the Park Slope neighborhood of Brooklyn. When looking for hotel stay, you literally have to look outside of yelp because there are some reviews that will discourage you from considering hotel stay anywhere. So, my planning always involves looking at ratings and reviews from other sites like Expedia which had it rated a 7.8/10 out of 1,008 verified reviews; that rating alone was the only verification I needed to see rather than rely solely on yelp reviews. My experience with the receptionist behind the desk was nothing less than professional. Since my room was already paid for, check-in consisted of the receptionist verifying my information, explaining the rules, and giving me my room key cards. For your information check-in starts at 3 PM and ends at midnight! And check out ends at noon! I absolutely adored the room! Its appearance had a modern-day vibe with its gray wooden decoration that I could not take my eyes off of. And to further charm me out of my panties, I had a room with a balcony overlooking 4th Avenue! It was those things that certainly won me over in spite of the room having a slight musty smell. An adorable thick glass slide door led to the bathroom, which had the most unique shower design inside. And inside of the bathroom, there were mini Essentiel Elements Bathe hygiene products that make great travel hygiene additions. Since I am an avid traveler, I have my collection that I sporadically use. Along with adoring the room, it also met my cleanliness standards. I had no issues whatsoever getting comfortable in the king-sized bed during my overnight stay as my head was engulfed in-between the comfortable pillows. The shower came with dual shower heads, with one being handheld offering multiple spray settings while the overhead one solely discharges a gentle misting spray. Other things the room came with were a Keurig coffee maker, an iron with an ironing board, a safe, and a few electrical outlets with USB inserts. The Wi-Fi internet was easy to connect to and I had no connectivity issues with it during my stay. There are plentiful sights, activities, and restaurants within a radius of Hotel Le Bleu. Some that I experienced and noted were Old Stone House, Prospect Park, Barclays Center, Brooklyn Museum, and Gowanus Canal. I am well open to booking with Hotel Le Bleu again because the hotel did meet my comfort needs and I loved that its location is within an accessible distance of things of my interest in Brooklyn. ~Have courage. The deluxe king room with wet bar? I think they meant just fridge?

My husband accidentally booked this hotel instead of the one I suggested...because husbands. Room for one night in the Signature Collection Deluxe King Terrace was $248 on a Friday night. The hotel we were supposed to be at was the exact same price and included a gym, pool and recreation room. The room had a "minibar" (fridge) stocked with two (generic) bottles of water and 4 coffee pods and 2 tea pods with a keurig. All the stuff in the fridge in my photo are things we bought. Matter of fact, there is NO FOOD in this hotel. No vending machine, no room service, no ice machine. However, it is walking distance to places you can eat at. We walked into our room and the light by the door didn't work. The people who stayed before us must have had some sort of celebration to hang decoration because the tape was still there. The bathroom was pretty nice but the water took forever to get warm...never got hot. Same with the sink. The king bed seemed more futon-ish. I slept on something linear and lumpy. I thought my shirt got scrunched up in my sleep. I kept trying to fix it finally realizing it was the bed. It was a bit noisy being the room right by the elevator. We could hear wooshing all day and night. I used the plug on the wall, and the usb ones didn't work. The wifi was so weak, my phone couldn't connect. There was mention of Bose DVD surround sound on the website...it was just the speakers from the tv. The TV was nice; but there was just very basic cable. For a deluxe room, there were no bath robes or slippers- just the towels and no newspaper (which we didn't care about). But why advertise all that and not have any of it? The city view was there, but you'd have to zoom in with your camera to see it. What the actual focal point of that view is the gorgeous view of U-haul trucks parked in the lot and the 1-800-storage building. The reason for my two stars: the people at the front desk were knowledgeable and efficient. Secondly, the parking made it more convenient.

It was also perfectly located just a short walk from my Pilates studio, which made sticking to my routine while traveling super easy. On top of that, there were plenty of coffee shops and local restaurants nearby, so I never had to go far for a good bite or my morning coffee. Being a Hilton Honors member made check-in a breeze, and I was even gifted complimentary water upon arrival, which was such a thoughtful touch. The room itself was clean, cozy, and perfect for a short stay. The view from my window was amazing especially at night and I loved how quiet it was, making it easy to fully relax after long days out. They also have great amenities like a gym and a breakfast buffet every morning. The waffle machines, fresh fruit, and coffee were definitely highlights and a great way to start each day. Mallory at the front desk was so sweet and made checkout just as smooth as check-in. I stayed for 4 days and 3 nights, and everything about this visit felt seamless. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in New York!

At one point we needed another blanket, I normally get cold in any hotel I am in. They delivered that in a great amount of time. This really is a great location. It is about a 16-20 minute walk to the water area. I felt pretty safe at the hotel and the surrounding area. It is easy for ubers, taxis and ride share services to pick up and drop off. The room was comfortable for both my friend and I. There were two beds in our room which is exactly the type of room we booked. We did have issues with the AC. I am hoping they repaired it and looked into it after we left. It was warm in the room for s little, but by the time it was getting late it cooled down and I slept comfortably. Opening the window was not going to be an option. I would not sleep well to the ASMR sounds of NYC in real life. HEHE. They were helpful though. Overall this is a great hotel to stay at if you are wanting to be on the Brooklyn/Dumbo area. Perfect stay and the cost was not too bad. I was able to use points.

If you're walking here at night... *shrug* you might feel unsafe. The front desk area is encased in some type of bullet proof glass/thick plastic... And the security guard sits across from the front desk. So they either have been robbed or own a bodega cause it has that same feel. (IYKYK) front desk guy barely said anything beside "ID and credit card" they make a copy of your ID, you sign a form that you're ok with them charging your card for incidentals, and they send you on your way. He didn't tell me what room I was in. He just wrote it on the key card. O_O. Grade A customer service. Ok. Cool. There are taped up print outs about noise, a smoking fee you'll be charged X amount if they catch you... PEOPLE ARE ABSOLUTELY SMOKING IN THIS PLACE. They may rather you not but that fee ain't stoppin nobody. (Someone randomly walked down the hall last night spraying spray to rid the smell -- it didn't.) There are Rules about how many people are allowed in what type of room. Which gives the impression that it probably gets wild during the spring/summer. The room it's self is cool. Everything seems clean. Everything has wear/tear and seems/is worn. The walls are INCREDIBLY thin. (The guy in the room next to me is currently talking on the phone about doing shrooms, bougie b!tches, and his mans needing to get his drivers license) is he in the room next to me or is he sitting in the couch in this room? The volume is about the same, might as well be a 3 way call with all of us. Would I stay here again? Probably not, but I wouldn't throw a fit if someone else booked it for me/us either. It's a bit further down on Atlantic than I'd like to be. It's like 1.5 miles from Barclays. Closest train is the A/C - Nostrand. The 2 train is like a 17 minute walk away. All in all...
