I have stayed here a few times now and have found the place to be in a great location in Williamsburg , with comfortable beds, and a friendly staff. They said that there was a breakfast, but we failed to wake up before it ceased. I like this place better than the bullshit in Manhattan I have delta with and will stay there again due to the price and location. BUT, the elevator is slow and the cleaning ladies are loud as hell. Not like banging the vacuum into the wall a few times while feverishly working loud, but yelling from room to room in extended conversation at 9:30 in the motherfucking AM loud. read more

This adorable boutique hotel is in a great central location. It has easy and free parking! Great price for the area and comes with coffee, tea, and fruit all day plus breakfast. I love the decor and view from our room. And an amazing use of space! The rooms are typically small as all nyc hotels- but it felt roomy and very functional. We had gotten a room with 2 beds thinking our son might have come...the beds were super tiny- but on rails- so we were able to push together to make one large bed. Love this!! read more

I've stayed here a couple of times and have been impressed with the overall operation. Most recently, I arrived about 9am after taking a red eye from Los Angeles and when I went to check in my bag until check-in time, the general manager went way out of his way to accommodate me. I must have looked pretty beat since he upgraded my room at no extra charge and allowed me to check in on the spot, which allowed me to take a nap and enjoy the rest of my day in Williamsburg. Thanks, Chet! This is a small hotel that is well-priced, very clean, has nice amenities and some style as well. They have capable people at the front desk, housekeeping does a great job and the location is convenient for me. Plus, the gal who oversees the continental breakfast keeps that operation spotless. I've stayed on the side opposite the BQE so I can't comment on the noise factor. There are SO many places to eat or drink or shop within walking distance, so come check out Williamsburg and use Le Jolie as your home base...you'll be glad you did! read more

Is this one of those trendy W hotels in Manhattan? No. Is this a nice hotel to stay at in the heart of Williamsburg? Yes! Friendly staff, clean rooms, decent internet connection, a giant television -- and even the other guests I bumped into were nice! I would return again and recommend this hotel to my friends. If you're from out of town another nice thing is that the hotel is within walking distance of quite a few cool places in Williamsburg. If you want to sleep in I recommend to get a room towards the back of the hotel. The front despite the triple windows might disturb your early morning dreams. I woke up grumpy since I wanted to sleep in and mentioned it. They moved me immediately and refunded me the night without the tax. Considered enough. Breakfast is continental, but with fresh fruits and lots of juices, milk, boiled eggs, danish, cereals, etc. Fresh fruits are still available during the day, i.e grab an apple or a banana on the way out. Free WIFI. Not enough plugs next to the beds for all the devices which nee charging during the night. I will stay here again. read more

On a recent vacation I had the displeasure of staying at the Hotel le Jolie. I am constantly travelling all over the world for work and this hotel was by far the worst customer service experience I have ever had. A small issue with a tear in the bed linens in the room led to an argument with the extremely rude manager and very dismissive staff. I say argument, I was politely requesting my needs as a paying customer be met while the manager raised her voice and condesended to my partner and I. My advice is spring for a more expensive hotel where you will be treated like a wanted guest. Completely ruined my impression of an otherwise beautiful city. read more

I have many criticisms of my stay at this establishment (small, unclean, no tub, unbelievably rude staff) but the criminal theft and credit card fraud possibly by another customer, staff and/or establishment is #1. I have reported it to my credit card provider and will do so to the police if the situation is not rectified by a manager or administrator by tomorrow. I reserved one night at this establishment on September 21, 2018. I think the full charge was meant to be $336.27 for a studio with a standard double twin bed. It was a non-smoking hotel room, but it had been smoked in previously. I did not care, therefore did not complain. I arrived at the hotel at midnight. I checked out the following day and received an email confirmation reiterating same: "Dear ________________, We hope you enjoyed your recent stay at Hotel Le Jolie, where you checked out on September 22, 2018..." Later on September 22, 2018 and after midnight on September 23th, I noticed Hotel Le Joelie was still charging me. I called to correct the error and spoke to an employee named Jose. He claimed that I was still in the room and that the Hotel still had the card I paid with initially. I told him he was wrong on both accounts over the phone. The number I called was fron the previously mentioned email. I'm too tired to keep writing. Jose completely brushed me off; he denied sending the email, then refused to check whether the sent email even existed. Despite the aforementioned email received, phone conversation, lack of photo ID or any government ID, and fact I was on a phone call while located somewhere else. Basically, he claimed never checked out. This stuff isn't that hard - we're getting into the basic human decency category. Jose continued to be utterly dismissive and directed me o call back when an higher-level employee was around then he hung up. This is not my real name so as to protect my identity if this involves theft or criminals. will check the private messages and emails, however, should management contact me through this account. Just give me a refund and never make me come back here again. i, like most of you, am not an orphan. i have parents. adorable provincial midwestern parents. so my adorable provincial mid-western parents wanted to stay in brooklyn instead of manhattan...well my mom did. she didn't want me to have to travel ALL THE WAY back to brooklyn. so, enter the hotel le jolie. close to my apartment. small but clean and comfortable. nice staff. they let me keep my bike in the office when i rode it there (there's no bike parking). a good rate (but i don't really know for sure). so if you have parents and don't want them staying at your house, have them stay here! read more

We had a great stay at Hotel Le Jolie recently. It was very close to Manhattan via either the subway or a taxicab. The rooms were nice and we enjoyed the free breakfast. I had a great experience here. The rooms were small but its NY. We got the room to sleep in that night, and I had the best nights sleep at a hotel ever. Big plus beds with giant oversized pillows and down-comforters you don't expect at a hotel. I sleep soooo good, I'm in love with there bed!! If your gonna get a room here ask for one on a higher level, not for people who need super quite its right near a bridge, then again you are in Brooklyn so a quite night prob isn't found anywhere. This hotel is in a fantastic location if you want to be IN Williamsburg (or Brooklyn in general). It's super close to the train and the BQE so travelling is easy... most importantly, it's walking distance to a ton of really cool bars and restaurants and is close to where Smorgasburg is held if you want to check that out on Saturdays. Price wise, for a weekend stay, I found the prices to be about what a "good deal" in Manhattan would be -- staying anywhere decently nice in the city is simply never cheap, but I do think Hotel Le Jolie could do with more ambiance and little touches to make their hotel more unique and the price tag to feel more worth it. Though, as I said before, the location is GREAT. As far as the rooms, I found the beds to be a little small and the rooms themselves are tiny, but again, a city hotel isn't going to be massive unless you're paying major bucks to be there (and I don't do that because hello, it's nyc! don't stay in your big fancy hotel room instead of going out!). I will say that while the bathroom is small, the shower is actually really nice! It has a rainfall water stream and bathroom floor et al feels very clean and new. They also had decent shampoo, conditioner, body wash, etc which was nice because I didn't pack any of that, lol. I would stay again, but I will have to say, I'll probably check out availability at the wythe or other hotels before booking a room here right away. read more

EXCELLENT service! The people at the front desk were amazing! From an early check out, printing subway routes, food recommendations and a no charge late check out! Le Jolie has free WiFi but if you don't want to lug your laptop they have a computer for guests to use. They also offer a nice continental breakfast before 11am. The hotel is small (the building in general is small, as well as the rooms and bathrooms) but the accommodations are very nice. I was a bit timid about a twin size bed but it was so COZY! Down covers and pillows .. I took a great nap right when we first arrived. The flat screen TV was also very nice and the IPOD adapter came in handy. Although the hotel is located in what appears to be a sketchy neighborhood it is actually really cute! Williamsburg is a very young, trendy neighborhood- you just actually need to walk into the center. I love this hotel because it is so quiet and right across the street from the subway station. We paid a lot less for a very nice hotel here then if we stay in Times Square, Manhattan, etc. This hotel is also located RIGHT off the highway, so it was SO easy to get there by driving. They also offer free parking (and even though the spots are limited- right across the street under the bridge is ample free parking) Ask the front desk how to get to Kellogg's diner- a couple blocks away- it was delish! I will most defiantly stay here again when I go back to NYC. read more

Honestly, i dont think i could have asked for more-- i stayed at hotel le jolie because i was working the renegade craft fair a few weeks ago and while i live in northern jersey, i wanted a good night's sleep after day one before working again on sunday. The room was reasonably priced, BEAUTIFUL, comfortable, spotless, had a great view, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Im vegan but my bf enjoyed the continental breakfast. The bed was great, too. Ive stayed in a LOT of hotels, think dead/phish tour-- successful 4-star hotel, sold lots of veggie burrittos nights and s'pange ur way off the thruway to a park bench nights-- hotel le jolie was great. Our stay at Hotel Le Jolie was wonderful. We stopped in at 1pm to drop off our luggage, and our room was already ready. The room itself was modern and elegant, though small, with a massive King bed (a bed that convinced me it's time I buy a new mattress at home). Everything was immaculately clean. Two wide windows gave us a view of the Empire State Building and other NY landmarks in the distance. Breakfast was simple but had options for every taste. Staff was friendly and very helpful. If we stay in Brooklyn again I will definitely pick Hotel Le Jolie! read more

This is a pretty nice, new Hotel in an area with few options, you will pay closer to $300-350 in Manhattan. The beds are comfortable, nice TV's, nice bathroom with plenty of products. Offers a free continental breakfast, it's okay, good coffee anyway. There is no real lobby to speak of and you're right on top of the BQE. Still, it is near Grand St. and some pretty good restaurants. Check out Bamonte's for a true old style Gotti style italian joint. It is great and spitting distance from the Hotel. Skip Kellogg's Diner BTW- that place sucks. read more

My parents just came to the city this weekend and booked a room here because it's very close to where my husband and I live. We didn't have too many expectations because we figured they wouldn't be spending too much time in the hotel anyway - hello, it's New York City. But we were all blown away immediately by this place. First of all, the service is great. The ladies we spoke with at the front counter throughout the few days all had a sense of humor and were very helpful. They held my parents' bags the first day when we arrived earlier than the check-in and when we came back later, they had already carried the bags up and set them in the room. Also, within five minutes of being there, the front desk called up just to make sure everything was okay and that they were happy with the room. They also held my parents' bags again on their last day while we went around the city, since their flight was later that night. The continental breakfast was impressive and seemed to be given more care than I've seen in other larger hotels around the country. Yes, the room was small but it had a TV, good sized bed, full length mirror, and the bathroom was actually very cute! The hotel's in a great area. You're close to the subway (the L train takes you into Manhattan in just two quick stops), close to the heart of Williamsburg (which I think everyone who visits New York should explore), and close to so many awesome restaurants (you have to eat at Five Leaves at least once, and Jimmy's Diner is a staple in this area). The fact that it's right next to the Brooklyn Queens Expressway isn't an issue at all - you couldn't hear the traffic from inside. Also, it makes taking a cab or getting a cab that much easier because taxis get off/on the BQE constantly in that area. So yes, I agree with the review that says "5 stars isn't enough". When you're in NYC and going to so many great places and yet you still keep saying to each other how impressed you are with the hotel you're staying at, that's a big deal. read more

The staff is pleasant, the rooms are smallish (it is NYC after all) but clean and well maintained. Most importantly, the beds are very comfortable and the noise level is low. I almost gave 1 star, but the staff is so nice, I brought up my rating slightly. This was billed as a luxury pick on par with the NU, or maybe a slight step down from that, comparable to the EVEN. It's not even close! First, the rooms are microscopic. I could have gotten past that , but when I opened my window, the freeway overpass is literally right outside the window. Like, so close I could make eye contact with drivers! The hotel description says the freeway is 'close' It didn't indicate exactly HOW close. Ok, once I got over that, I went to dinner, grabbed a bottle of wine on way back. Except there are no glasses provided by the hotel. I don't mean no wine glasses. There were literally NO GLASSES, at all, only plastic cups. The breakfast pastries were stale and clearly days old. Bonus: the guy in the room next to me smoked all night and no one did anything about it. Look, all of this could have been forgiven if they hadn't billed and priced themselves in comparison to some of the far better hotels in the area. Stay at the NU, the EVEN, not here, for far better value. Only thing this hotel has going for it are the staff and the location. read more

We stayed at Le Jolie recently just for one night and will definitely stay again in the future. Yes, the rooms are small, but it's also a great deal in an expensive area. The entire hotel is impeccable; the free breakfast was very nice (lots of options and fresh pastries and fruit). Most importantly, however, was the fact that the bed was really, really comfy. We slept three (two adults and a child) people and all got a good night's rest. The manager met with everyone at breakfast and had a suggestion for everyone who had a question, from where to eat locally to where to catch great music. There was not a proper closet, which may have been an issue if we were staying longer, but I had no complaints. Also, check out was not until noon, which is really nice. read more

After my horrific experience at The Belvedere, my friend and I decided to return to familiar ground to finish up our project. We chose this hotel due to price and simplicity. I had a good experience. Rooms are small, but I expected that. At this point, I really just needed a desk in a place not full of distractions and a bed, if I needed to nap. The front desk woman was very nice and accommodating. On my check out date, I had to run a quick errand, and she actually let me leave my bag behind the front desk, and pick it up later. We were told they only had two rooms available. They cost the same, so we didn't think much about it. My friend's room was quite smaller than mine. I barely fit in the room with her and her luggage in it. She had a headache, and told me she was going to lay down for an hour or so, and would come find me after it dissipated. Before I could even leave the room, a man opens the door and walks in with a toolbox and a drill. He told us he was fixing the AC and it would only take 'a minute'. He asked us to wait in the hallway. I'm not sure what exactly he was doing but it was LOUD. My poor friend was sitting in the hallway, holding her head. I went to talk to management and the man told us it couldn't wait. My friend finally just went into the room and laid down, covering her ears. They had moved furniture around and were making so much noise. I asked why they gave us a room that wasn't ready. My friend then promised she wouldn't be using the AC (it's winter, yo!). At this point, they left. My only other complaint is that the rooms were very cold. Other than that one strange incident, my experience here was great. The staff was nice. They had fairly good coffee available all day. Continental breakfasts are usually a joke, but this one was not worthless by any means (as a vegan, my options were limited, but my friend enjoyed it). I was impressed with this place overall. My room was clean and the shower was definitely nice. If not for that one annoying incident, I would definitely be giving this place four stars. read more

Couple and baby. Ok so we should have made a reservation, But my fiance did not because they said they have plenty of rooms. We should up around 8am without a reservation. I did expect some sort of early check in. Online it said rooms started at $169. The cheapest room available was $199 with a queenbed. . We were then informed if we wanted to check into the already clean vacant room it would be $$75.00!! OMG! seriously!! so we asked if there was anyway we could get it any cheaper or waived. So the nice lady called her manager and told him we had a bunch of luggage and an infant with us he said its IT WILL BE ONE HUNDRED DOLLAR fee TO CHECK IN RIGHT NOW!!! are you serious??? well we didn't have a car and a bunch of luggage had an 8 month old with us so we went ahead and did it. We get up stairs and the room is as big as our master bathroom at home. (for 200+100 early check in)TINY!!! 2 feet on each side of the bed and a small bathroom. We had a family member come into the hotel and they called us and said you have a guest i said ok were expecting him. I guess you cant have any one come to your room either. supposedly we had a view. idk what a view is apparently GOOD STUFF NOW NICE ROOM AND BEDDING IPOD DOCK WAS HANDY FORGOT CHARGER. Without being fancy they had everything I wanted, for example free bottled water in the mini fridge replenished daily, double-double-pained windows (not kidding 2 double pain windows with 6 inches space between, I never heard the BQE), complimentary bfast, a AAA discount. Just stayed here recently for three nights on a work trip. What a wonderful experience! The front desk people were great (even made copies for me one day when I was in a pinch!) and the rooms were clean and updated. Yes, they were small, but I was expecting that. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful, along with free coffee and tea all day. The only slight downside was that there was no fitness center onsite. But the price was incredibly reasonable for the area, and there were lots of restaurants and bars nearby for after-work entertainment. I would definitely return! read more

Stayed here a couple times for multiple nights. Small rooms but perfectly comfortable. Good shower, comfy bed, clean. Lots of TV channels. Breakfast isn't great but is adequate. The wifi signal is weak, ok for email but not for streaming. Staff very friendly but don't seem to know the area that well. Location is pretty good, you can get to Manhattan quickly enough by subway. Very few parking spots in hotel lot. I definitely recommend it for a slightly cheaper NewYork option, though probably only need to stay here if you want to be close in Williamsburg. read more

BOUTIQUE HOTEL IN BROOKLYN My husband and I spent 3 nights at Hotel Le Jolie in Brooklyn (Williamsburg) this past weekend. We chose it for the location, not too far from family in Greenpoint and business in Brooklyn. We asked Jacqueline at the desk for a room on a high floor and enjoyed the stay in 706. The room was bigger than expected, as NYC rooms can be small. Cable TV, a desk, chair, dresser, armoire and mini refrigerator are included. There is a charging station lamp on the desk, handy for charging devices. The beds were very comfortable and the darkening, sound-deadening shade was very useful for sound sleeping, as the hotel is conveniently next to the "BQE" --- Brooklyn Queens Expressway. The bathroom was well appointed, although a bit short on counter space. The rain shower style showerhead was enjoyable as was the lovely scented shampoo. We were thrilled to have Jacqueline assign us a parking place as well. There are about 10 spaces advertised as first come first served. It appeared there was neighborhood parking as well. A free parking place was especially appreciated after a long drive. The hotel is in walking distance of the L train and several restaurants. However, the hotel offers an included breakfast on the first floor. Helen, the breakfast attendant, presented the food with care. Coffees, yogurts, pastries and fresh fruits were the best. read more
