Hotel Le Jolie was a pleasant surprise and a 4-star rating for me. The best thing about Hotel Le Jolie is that it is in hipster-ville Williamsburg and the good location for taking the L train subway into Manhattan. The hotel has smaller rooms ... however they are well equipped. For instance, my room had a large Samsung TV that had excellent picture quality and a lot of channels. In all the rooms there are double windows (oddly with 6 inches between them) that really reduce the amount of noise from the outside. I had a room facing the Williamsburg bridge traffic and had no noise complaints. There is a room darkening shade in all the rooms that was probably my favorite room feature. It was very easy to get a good nights sleep at Hotel Le Jolie. In addition to all these high points, there is a better than average continental breakfast. All the staff was helpful and courteous. I guess the main thing I would say about the Hotel Le Jolie is that I would do it again.... and likely will.

Even though it's right next to the freeway it's a nice little hotel in the north side of Williamsburg. Close to the subway and a retail area of cool things. I came in and out of this place at all hours and got to see many of the staff who were really cool. Nice clean room with a clean bathroom. As things in NYC go it's not particularly cheap but you're getting more price performance value for an equivalent place in Manhattan,

    Disgusting shower.

For a hotel that cost over $200 a night I expect certain things one of which would be not having flakes of paint fall on my head during showers and continuous loud noises. Avoid this hotel at all costs the manager was not willing to compensate or provide any remedy other than offering 20% off my next stay. The room smelled the bed was average the lighting was silly and over complicated this hotel sucks.

It was also perfectly located just a short walk from my Pilates studio, which made sticking to my routine while traveling super easy. On top of that, there were plenty of coffee shops and local restaurants nearby, so I never had to go far for a good bite or my morning coffee. Being a Hilton Honors member made check-in a breeze, and I was even gifted complimentary water upon arrival, which was such a thoughtful touch. The room itself was clean, cozy, and perfect for a short stay. The view from my window was amazing especially at night and I loved how quiet it was, making it easy to fully relax after long days out. They also have great amenities like a gym and a breakfast buffet every morning. The waffle machines, fresh fruit, and coffee were definitely highlights and a great way to start each day. Mallory at the front desk was so sweet and made checkout just as smooth as check-in. I stayed for 4 days and 3 nights, and everything about this visit felt seamless. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in New York!

My main concern when looking for a hotel in NY/Brooklyn was having a microwave and fridge, and thankfully our room had both. I was also told you can request them if your room doesn't already have them. We stayed in a room with a window facing an extremely busy intersection, with honking going on all day and into the night, but thankfully, the windows were thick enough to block out most of the noise. The AC sound also helped drown it out. The room and restroom also felt spacious for what you get in NY. There was daily breakfast, which was your typical hotel breakfast with a variety of options that changed daily. It's about a one-mile walk to get to DUMBO, which wasn't bad at all, even when we had to do it in the rain. The subway is about a 10 minute walk, and there are two corner stores down the street. Honestly not a bad location! Just be careful when crossing that crazy busy intersection! I would stay here again!

The staff are friendly and professional. The room is well soundproofed. I'm a light sleeper and did. Or hear any noise so that was a major plus. The things that need to be improved: the rooms and the common spaces feel tired and in need of updating/renovations. You do not get the feeling of comfort. The mattress was a little too soft for my liking. Overall, the room is of a decent size and not a bad place for the size. It's clean enough and if you're not looking for luxury or great comfort, this is a good option.

The place itself was cool. We got a patio with our room and exercise equipment inside the room. We used the patio for eating and getting ready so we wouldn't dirty the inside but definitely didn't work out at all. Its also located in a nice spot in brooklyn. Enough subway stations nearby and its super close to the city point food hall. Their breakfast is good and they have a 24 7 market with snacks which works out if youre feeling snackish and dont want to deal with how early a lot of bodegas close. I highly recommend this place for a new york visit.

If you're walking here at night... *shrug* you might feel unsafe. The front desk area is encased in some type of bullet proof glass/thick plastic... And the security guard sits across from the front desk. So they either have been robbed or own a bodega cause it has that same feel. (IYKYK) front desk guy barely said anything beside "ID and credit card" they make a copy of your ID, you sign a form that you're ok with them charging your card for incidentals, and they send you on your way. He didn't tell me what room I was in. He just wrote it on the key card. O_O. Grade A customer service. Ok. Cool. There are taped up print outs about noise, a smoking fee you'll be charged X amount if they catch you... PEOPLE ARE ABSOLUTELY SMOKING IN THIS PLACE. They may rather you not but that fee ain't stoppin nobody. (Someone randomly walked down the hall last night spraying spray to rid the smell -- it didn't.) There are Rules about how many people are allowed in what type of room. Which gives the impression that it probably gets wild during the spring/summer. The room it's self is cool. Everything seems clean. Everything has wear/tear and seems/is worn. The walls are INCREDIBLY thin. (The guy in the room next to me is currently talking on the phone about doing shrooms, bougie b!tches, and his mans needing to get his drivers license) is he in the room next to me or is he sitting in the couch in this room? The volume is about the same, might as well be a 3 way call with all of us. Would I stay here again? Probably not, but I wouldn't throw a fit if someone else booked it for me/us either. It's a bit further down on Atlantic than I'd like to be. It's like 1.5 miles from Barclays. Closest train is the A/C - Nostrand. The 2 train is like a 17 minute walk away. All in all... It's giving... We used to be a motel, but got a PPP loan, did some renovations, and we're a hotel now. Not knocking it. IJS those are the vibes.

They said no problem as long as I arrive before midnight. I arrived around 10 PM as described and saw a pile of empty plug in fan boxes in the lobby. It was very hot in the lobby. I was told in hard to understand English that there were fans put in the room. I was also told he could offer a 30% discount. I went up to check the room and when the elevators doors opened, it was even hotter on the 3rd floor. I checked the room that did have fans but all it was doing was blowing the hot air around. No human could possibly sleep in those conditions. I went back downstairs and told him that wasn't going to work for me and my wife. I requested a refund. He refunded my $100 deposit and advised that I had to reach out to their on-line booking company to refund the reservation. It would have been a nice courtesy to get a phone call or email advising that the AC was out in the whole building before I drove 6 hours expecting a cool room to sleep in. I spent 2 days getting the run around from their on-line booking company only to receive an email refusing to refund my money because it was past the cancellation date. So they feel that it is ok to steal $400 from me and provide no service. I have contacted my credit card company and will be getting my refund. Stay away from this place.

There are lots of fun locally owned shops which we enjoyed as well. If you don't mind the walk, you can head to the shops next to the Barclay center which have Target and Marshalls and other shops but those are the only two we were interested in at this time.
