Eighth floor, city-side room with two beds.
Amanda V.

My first, last and possibly only night in Juarez. Given that most of the neighborhood resembles Little Beirut, I was relieved to see Hotel Lucerna. I had reserved one night online, after reading several area hotel reviews. The hotel has 24-hour surveillance, but I would have felt a bit better if the parking lot was enclosed. The staff were courteous and welcoming. The room was absolutely amazing, with an incredible city-side view. I could see the red X monument from my eighth floor room. There did not seem to be many other guests (it was a Wednesday). The restaurant had a great brunch for a reasonable price. The bar served strong drinks and Mexican music videos. There wasn't a charge for parking, and wifi was included. I doubt I will return to Juarez, but if I do, I will stay at Hotel Lucerne again.

I come to Juarez on business a few times a year and have stayed at the Hampton here as well. I have to give Lucerna a hands down thumbs up. The rooms are a nice size with the standard amenities you find in a Holiday Inn or Hyatt Place. The staff is very nice - Oscar the bellboy is awesome! They also have a stunning pool area, breakfast buffet and the bar area is nice as well. I have made this my 'go to' when I am here, I'm not interested in staying anywhere else

Perfect place across the border for English speaking people. The staff is helpful, kind and most all speak great English. Wonderful pool and food. Easy to drive across the border and park safely. Our iPhone maps took us directly here without issue.

Delicious brunch buffet the best in town!!!!

For the price and the feeling of being high society, lol, was fun. We came for the Arabian nights event. Tarrot card reading and henna, which was included in the dinner price. As well as belly dancers. Check their website for dates scheduled. For out of towners and locals looking for something to do, make plans.

Mind blowing place to experience!…read more Ok, so right off the base, you are hit with this extravagant looking manor with transcendent looking lights and tall gated entrances and tall stands with fire in them. Beautifully decorated hostess stand area with flower bouquets and all kinds of floral accents. Getting to this entrance was a bit of a hassle with either finding parking that's not too far on the streets or waiting in a bit of a line for valet. At least valet is included with your ticket that you purchase in order to attend any of their events. This night also had one complimentary glass of wine, red or white. I went on their Italian night themed events, which included an endless serving of pasta that you mix and match on these cards they give you. Each time you finish a plate, you can get another card and pick your next combo. It does take a while to finally get your next plate though, so you may want to anticipate that. I highly recommend their alfredo or bolognese sauces! I wasn't a fan of their pesto nor their vegetable pasta, which proved to be a veggie based pasta. We ended up being on the 2nd floor which served to be a bit of a hassle for either waiting on food or retrieving your self serve salad or dessert, which were downstairs. We made our way down for some antipasta and decided to hold off on bringing up desserts because we didn't want to crowd the table. Well, we soon found out that we should have grabbed it while the taking was good... meaning, all those lovely looking desserts that we saw at the beginning were absolutely GONE. We got lucky that they happen to bring out these other random finger desserts like a blondie or lemon tart or small cuts of cheesecake. So that was a bit of a bummer. You will definitely get a kick out of touring the manor as they had multiple different themed rooms. I absolutely ADORED their bridal themed one and they had this killer Chinese New Year one. Best part was their apparent "secret tour" which led you upstairs to a third floor where they had a billiard and bar lounge. Supposedly it's a bit haunted too so the employee who brought us up there said he never goes up there by himself. Neat right?! lol Highly highly recommend this experience! Just make sure you take head all my advice for parking, nabbing desserts ahead of time, and anticipating your next round of pasta! so get a table downstairs basically lol.

The St. Rogers Depot seems to be a former train station and there is plenty of parking spots for guests. This long red brick building features an aesthetic that is modern yet a touch of farmhouse. I really enjoyed how it was broken up into different sections including a main bar, section for seating, a second bar, and an enclosed room with large glass doors. My fiance surprised me with tickets to the candlelight show featuring the music of Adele. It was a quartet playing on the mini stage surrounded by plenty of their signature candles (they weren't real flames). The quartet was stunning and the sounds literally mimicked Adele's biggest hits and it was just an experience that made me so happy as someone who payed the Viola for many, many years. It was just such an intimate experience and it really took you out of your everyday responsibilities. I can't wait to see what other experiences they will host.

Oscar was very attentive and went above and beyond to make sure me and my wife were happy. I thought the price we got was competitive considering I called a lot of places. The venue itself was really nice and we got a ton of compliments on it. Everything about the property is really nice and you can tell no stops were made when restoring it. Also, the food was really good and we had the chance to taste what we wanted. Again, I can't stress enough how good of a choice we made when choosing this place for our wedding. The service, aesthetics, food, value and vibe were excellent! I 100% recommend Los Portales!!

Though other venues may offer many different things, we really fell in love with Los Portales when we, luckily, came across it. The beautiful architecture and open landscaping made for the perfect location and backdrop for our Fall wedding. We also loved, and appreciated, the history and story behind the structure itself. We are not local to the area but working with Oscar leading up to our wedding was extremely easy and left us very care-free. We had regular check-ins with him to ensure everything was progressing as planned. He also offered several helpful suggestions for local retailers that were knowledgable and reliable. Once it go to the week of our wedding, Alvaro was also a great deal of help with finalizing some of those last-minute details. The serving staff were also fantastic. Throughout the evening, they made sure all guests had full glasses and were quick to clear tables when necessary. This was something we were not expecting, resulting in it being a very pleasant surprise. Again, my fiancé (now wife) and I could not have been happier with the beautiful setting that the Los Portales venue provided for our special day. Two suggestions for prospective couples considering having their wedding here: - Request to meet with the day-of coordinator prior to the actual date of your wedding. This will definitely help to ensure they are aware of who each person in the wedding party is and who should be contacted if concerns come up. - Share open communication with the DJ surrounding the songs, or specific music, you'd like to be played.
