12/21/2020 (around that date) I called Hotwire a week ago in order to inform them on our upcoming closing of new condo. We needed some Hotwire boxes moved and other bedrooms wired for tv connections. The tv and internet were working at before we took possession. We expected an uninterrupted and seamless transition from one owner to another. As we all know, the HOA covers tv as well as internet so there should be zero interruption. I wanted to make appointment to change boxes, etc. Hotwire Support said I couldn't make this appointment yet because I was not the owner. At that point, I decided to wait until I had settlement deed. 12/28/2020 I called Hotwire and emailed them my deed. I was given an account number and Hotwire scheduled an appointment for January 4th. At that point, I assumed tv and internet would continue to work. Well.....30 minutes after my call, I had no tv or internet. I called Hotwire support again and they told me I needed to wait until my appointment on January 4th...7 days No tv or internet! I explained that I was paying for tv & internet through the HOA and I should have service. I had boxes that worked 30 minutes ago. I had them escalate this to a manager and NO tv & internet until January 4th. This made no sense to me as our HOA covers both. So, I called our account manager. She tried to get old boxes working and could not. She then put in an "services all out" ticket which is supposed to be highest priority. This appointment is scheduled for Thursday December 31. Now I have 4 days without service! 12/31/2020 Technician arrived today. He did get the tv to work in living room and master bedroom. We also wanted basic cable in both upstairs bedrooms. Technician stated he didn't have time. He only had 30 minutes allotted for our call. He left!!!! Without finishing job. I am not sure what to do about this. If anyone could help me I would appreciate it. We really need better service. The saga continues... at 2:30 I talked with agent via support chat. I asked what work order was and what time technician would be here today. At 2:35 both TVs went out. Agent said nothing she could do. I am All Out again. Left 2 voicemails with No response. Called Hotwire at 3:00 pm. They couldn't do anything. Put in request for technician. Who knows. At 3:12 pm sent email to dispatch. stated Hotwire would be there that evening or tomorrow (1/1/21). Hopefully they will come soon. 01/01/2021 Hotwire has not come as of 11:45 am. I called Hotwire. Explained situation. He was going to talk to supervisor. When on hold, call was cut off. I called back. He was not available so I explained situation again. She said soonest appointment was 1/5. What? Technician never finished job on 12/31. She refused to give me her employee number. I asked her what I could do or who to call. She said Hotwire will hopefully come on 1/5. Seriously? 1/3/2021 Unplugged tv and plugged it back it. Now we have tv working downstairs but nothing working upstairs because technician did not finish job. Listening remote not working in bedroom. Technician didn't even verify that. Hopefully someone comes on 1/5. 1/5/2021 Technician here at 1:30. He was able to solve these issues: 1. Activate listening function on remote in master bedroom. 2. Fix the replace battery light in living room equipment 3. Change my network name and password name 4. Verify that boxes and eero were in our name However he said that because the previous owner never called to have equipment pulled, this was not good. When an owner sells, the seller needs to call Hotwire and have equipment pulled. This needs to be communicated to everyone. So....here are my remaining issues that the technician could not fix: ugh 1. Bedroom #1 upstairs needs wiring of basic cable to another wall. This technician said he could not do it by himself. I called Hotwire and asked for an appointment for new line for second floor which requires 2 technicians. Hotwire at first said they would charge me $100+ for new line. I then said I was a new owner. Hotwire support said they needed to contact dispatch and dispatch would contact me within 24 hours to set up an appointment and verify that I would not be charged. If I do not hear from dispatch by 1/6 at 1:35 pm, I need to call them. 2. Bedroom #2 upstairs has a cable attached to tv but tv does not pick up any channels when scanning. Hotwire technician says this is a problem on the Hotwire back office side. He could not do anything. He said dispatch will be calling me when it is fixed from their end and I will try to scan. If dispatch does not call me in 24 hours, I need to call them. This feels like deja vu. So basically I still have 2 TVs working and 2 TVs not working. I have taken zero steps forward. Let's see when dispatch calls me?? I have sent my name to the social media person at Hotwire. The social media person never contacts me. Hmmm m read more

WOW! I am a person that hates the cable company and always have. I have too many bad experiences to count. My rep Anthony Aragon and Hotwire have changed that image for me. He was very knowledgeable (of course) but was able to help me understand pricing and the different options. I even had follow up questions and was able to reach Anthony. I am writing this review on behalf of my parents who recently moved to Estero. Hotwire has been absolutely amazing to them. After they bought a TV at Costco and paid extra for installation and didn't get it, Hotwire came to the rescue. They came and connected all of the TVs in the house. On their second visit - first visit was to install the cable, second to connect the TVs - the consultant Will asked my mom, where is the little TV we connected the first visit? My mom was sold. Will - also my brother's name - remembered my parents and treated them like family a second time. Every time we Zoom, my parents still talk about the incredible service. AND Hotwire had a consultant come out for free to teach my parents how to use the remote and access their apps. Did I mention for free? Seriously my parents are customers for life. One star because zero is not an option. This is again the worst company in America. I travel for work, only home on the weekends. Get home Thursday, no service. Call and I am told someone will be there Tuesday. I will be back on the road on Tuesday. I have the entire weekend with no service. These horrible, disgusting wasted uses of flesh will not even credit my account because they don't know when they can restore service. I can't say this strongly enough, I hate these people. I am sure as individuals they are nice and loving members of society, but as a representative of Hotwire they are thieves. They take my money for a service they constantly fail to provide. I hate them, I hate them, I f__king hate them. If you are looking at property where they are the provider, move. If you work from home, need internet, like watching television, move to a different neighborhood. I know it's Christmas and I am trying to be a better person, but I f__king hate them. The only upside in speaking to their customer no service is it gets my heart rate up and I can skip the gym. Have I mentioned even at Christmas, I F__KING HATE THEM? Good luck with 1 for English. Absolutely Horrendous billing. After I moved and returned their box and accessories they sent me a statement that they had not received the equipment and sent me a bill. I provided them with the tracking to which they said they would look into it. After they looked into it they "magically" founds everything and my account was credited leaving the balance at zero. 3 months passes and I receive another bill. I call and go through the same song and dance and checks and balances. They again credit the account and my balance is at zero. I know you are thinking this is where the story ends. NOPE! Now they have sent me another bill saying I owe the last month. I explained that its impossible since they pre charge for the month ahead and not after the fact. They agree that this is in fact their policy but also state a payment is required. We really have lost our way when in the same breath you can contradict yourself and see nothing wrong with it. My account number was 30059456 in case anyone there with a capable mind sees it and would like to review the comedy of errors on their end. Hotwire is HD alright, Huge Disappointment! Too many pixilations, freeze-ups and black-outs. Not very reliable at times. Hotwire went fiber optic, but no improvement in picture quality for Standard Cable. The High Definition is OK but still too many pixilations and frozen pictures. A lot of grief when Hotwire converted to fiber optic. Their underground line went through our outgoing sewer line causing the toilets to back-up for three days until the contractor came out to fix it. If the power goes out, forget it! It takes forever for the system to reboot! I'll bet the Dumont Network responded better! The DVR that we have to pay extra for leaves much to be desired. It never has enough storage room. We're in a gated community so we're stuck with Hotwire. The HOA decides what carrier we have. Direct TV had much better picture quality, clearer and sharper, but at the time about 4 years ago they had no customer service. Just a phone number in Montreal that never returned out calls when there was a problem. Would have like to stayed with Direct TV. Hotwire is going to do some sort of "improvement" in our community soon, but I won't hold my breath. Its called "NEW Fishion 3.0 TV Service". A fancy name. If I get a chance at the next board meeting, I'll recommend switching or letting the residents choose their own cable TV provider. read more

Bonita Bay's decision to go with Hotwire continues to be an excellent decision. My ability to access our home's various internet accessible systems, i.e. cameras, thermostat etc. is an extremely valuable plus. It just wasn't possible with Comcast unless you would be willing to pay their high monthly rate all summer long. Now I'm able to get alerts and see things at our Florida house and thus avoid a possible problem. All in all they are delivering way more than Comcast was ever able to deliver and unlike Comcast, their customer service people are extremely courteous. I had initially thought that there was a problem with going from live TV to smart TV to access Netflix or Amazon Prime. As it turned out there wasn't a problem at all, but rather the steps to get there. Turning off the Hotwire set top box before trying Smart TV has it working every time. We have TiVo up north and thought that they didn't have any DVR competition. Well Hotwire's System has proven to be an equal and so much more. Every channel can be backed up more than 24 hours if you think you missed something. My TiVo has six tuners which allows me to record just six things in a given time slot, but nothing more. I'm finding that Hotwire has many more features and obviously we are extremely happy. read more

Beware of their commitment to customer service. A complete runaround with trying to get them to backup their commitment to a service they originally told me I would have. They did and said whatever they needed to say just to get into our community over Charter Xfinity. The internet speed doesn't live up to the hype they claim and in order to receive 1080P on your tv you have to have a box that cost $11 per month that didn't cost me a dime with Comcast. I was actually looking forward to getting fiber optics and all I've gotten so far is lies, rude behavior, and a take it or leave it attitude. Its just a lot of nickel and diming you to death just to get what you should have had within the service they told me they were throwing in with the contract with the HOA. Terrible. Always breaks down. Thought it was good at first and it's really a nightmare. Always on the phone with them trying to get service back. I've missed so much including the last 2 minutes of an NFL comeback 2 weeks ago, said to be the most amazing to see. I'll never know. Tonight I come home and all 4 TV'S won't work. I cannot emphasize how lousy a provider this company is. It is infuriating to even call their "customer service". We were double billed for a service and have now had three iterations of attempting to get it solved. They cannot simply credit your account until the next statement. As a result, we show up on their website as past due and "need to make payment to avoid service interruption". Recently, they did an "upgrade". Nothing is upgraded and several aspects of our cable service have regressed. I purchased NHL Center Ice which is $155 for the season. I used to watch nearly every game in HD. Now, after the upgrade, no games are in HD. The "customer service" rep couldn't understand why I viewed this as a takeaway. I have to agree with other reviewers. I am a hotwire fision customer in Shadow Wood. The initial installation was well done as the company clearly wants to "own" the market with new installs. Unfortunately the service to existing customers is exceedingly poor. There are no local customer service personnel and all calls go to a poorly staffed "back office" in Ft Lauderdale. I purchased the security system for $1400 in November and after more than 10 calls in the last two months they have not responded once. And the system still does not work. (I did receive one call back to add more services to my nonworking security system but nothing to fix the system). The internet speed is very spotty (as my neighbors have also noted) and in general Comcast has much better customer service (which I have in my other homes). Needless to say I am not a fan of hotwire. And now that they have grown well beyond their ability to service existing customers, I am not looking forward to the future. read more

Well, here I am again writing about the REALLY POOR service at Hotwire Communications. It is four months later than my last review, and still experiencing the same old terrible service from this company. As I write this review, my TV has not worked all day. I contacted the account manager, Amanda, for our property this morning....but to no avail yet. Called her again a couple of hours ago, and she said there was a tech out sick, and there was nobody to help me this weekend with my problem. Two weeks ago, they put in a new cable box...the fourth one in 3 years, now, this new one quit working this morning. So, no TV the whole weekend. What a joke these guys are. I am seriously considering selling my home, and moving to somewhere where I can have comcast cable. I never had problems with them. read more
