I've been working out at The Camp Transformation Center in North Dallas since March of this year. What has kept me coming back has been the style of workouts. As a past athlete, I enjoyed doing weight lifting and the small cardio sections in the smaller groups - it reminds me of team practice. The trainers keep things fun without sacrificing an intense workout. For me personally, I enjoy knowing that I will get a great workout in an hour and not have to put any real thought into it. All I have to do is show up and do what I'm told for as long as I'm told. That being said, I decided to push myself and do a 6-week challenge to drop 5% BMI (the hardbody). I will start by saying that in the end, I lost 5.9%. Hard body challenge review: the staff was very supportive and encouraging when I was on the fence about wanting to do it or not. I decided that there wasn't a reason that I couldn't lose 5% and wanted to take a bet on myself. However, life does still happen within those 6 weeks. When my husband and I had questions throughout the process, I came away feeling like I was an annoyance at times. The staff is definitely more supportive when trying to convince you to sign the contract than during the challenge itself. My advice to surviving it is just to know your body. I cheated on my diet several times but always kept it in moderation. Knowing that I am active all day at work, go to all my workouts and do the homework, and would go on evening walks with my dog, I knew I could afford a snack here and a drink there. All in all, I don't know if I will do another official challenge or not. I will likely stay a member at The Camp and continue the challenge lifestyle on my own with a few more freedoms (chicken and turkey get very old after a while).

The camp is more than what I expected, my body changed in 6 weeks it is something incredible, everyone is very kind there I just would not leave it is 100% recommended

Before this week ends, I want to do a special shoutout to The Camp Transformation Center - North Dallas TX! In the beginning of this 6 Week Challenge I didn't know what I was getting myself into, nor why I had signed up knowing I had just re-enrolled for college. All I knew was that I wanted to complete one of my 2019 goals before the year ended, and let me tell you while stressing out between school and work, this was my mental escape! Not only was I getting my body back on track, I also learned that I am able to push myself to limits I had never reached; and was able to get up the next day to push myself even more I am so happy I did it and believed in them 110% If you are thinking about changing your lifestyle or you just want to tone your body, check them out! I got my HARDBODY @ The Camp North Dallas and lost 5.5 % Body Fat in just 6 Weeks, I can only imagine what I can do this new year 2020! They honestly got me on the right track ‍ #Motivated & #Determined #HardBodyChallenge

This camp is amazing. Their trainers push you to your maximum potential but with enough care to make sure you don't get hurt. I love the atmosphere here it's so energetic, it's non judgmental, and it truly is like a family. I lost close to 20lbs in six weeks and will continue onto another 20lbs challenge. But don't take my word for it go and check it out yourself it will be your first step to a new you. This is my second updated review of the camp and I am still giving it 5 stars. If you have losing weight as one of your New Years eve resolution this is the place for you. You learn what to eat , when to eat, and how much as well as access to the great workouts with certified trainers. If you follow their guidelines you will succeed in your weight loss goal. I have lost 40lbs and looking to lose another 20. I have full confidence I will with this program.

    My final!

I suffer from asthma and it's stepped up a notch recently. The infrared sauna made breathing so much easier with just one workout. I was sold! Dallas has no shortage of gyms, but when you're choosing the one -- the one you'll see more than…read moreyour own reflection -- it has to feel right. I'd been hearing whispers (the good kind) about working out in infrared light, so naturally I had to investigate. This studio offers a free first class, which is honestly the chicest way to commit-curious a new gym. Low risk, high glow potential. Here's what you should know: the concept is interesting -- but not super clear online. They have around eight private infrared rooms, and classes rotate every 15-30 minutes depending on the format (most run about 30-45 minutes). On weekends especially, sessions are consistently cycling through. You can book a specific class, but there's also flexibility built in. If you're there and space allows, you can jump into a different session or pivot your workout. It's structured... but with options. Very choose-your-own-fitness-adventure. Confession: I arrived early (as one does for a first class), and the doors weren't open yet because we were technically late for that session. Slightly confusing at first -- but once inside, it made more sense how the rotations work. A clearer explanation online would've saved a little guesswork. The workout itself? A solid, full-body intensity without being punishing. I hadn't worked out consistently in a while, so I wanted something effective but not soul-crushing. This delivered. You definitely feel it, but in a "see you again tomorrow" way. What I loved: * 24-hour access (major bonus for unpredictable schedules) * Super clean, modern space * Easy parking (underrated luxury in Dallas) * Friendly, welcoming staff * Great value for the price They also offer branded workout apparel (think training capris, etc.), which is cute but not required. My only hesitation? Motivation and in-person energy. Because of the semi-private infrared room setup, it's less of that high-five-the-room group vibe and more self-directed. If you thrive on heavy social interaction, that's something to consider. If you like autonomy with structure, you'll love it. Overall, it's a really strong option -- especially if infrared training has been on your radar. Clean, flexible, effective, and open 24/7? That's a compelling Dallas fitness situation. Would I go back? Very possibly. My muscles are still deciding.
