When I arrived it turns out that it was only for Frisco and Plano residents, so I had to pay $30.00. I live in Richardson which is just as close to Plano as Frisco is. So it gave me that Frisco/Plano elitist vibe in terms of management style. All about the money and status.

Def a no judgement zone! It's nice to see a range of athleticism from people who are "getting back into the swing of things" and people who are extremely fit. They've also recently changed the layout to accommodate for the different types of workouts. I've been a member of the YMCA, 24 hour fitness and Planet Fitness and this location offers ample floor space for ppl to simply stretch and/or do core workouts in lieu of having to navigate around equipment and/or infringing on a class like at the Y. I value things like that. They also offer different variations of leg, core, upper body strength training equipment so you don't have to constantly wait for machines like I've found at other locations. Now this may happen from time to time during peak hours but Ive found that the mornings it is a good crowd but not overwhelming. Women's locker area and bathrooms are clean. I wish they had saunas but there's not much more I would change, especially at this great price point! I did take off a point because outside of the app and/or occasional notes on the door, there's been times the gym has closed for emergencies which is an inconvenience when I'm not notified. Wish there was something they could send through the app??? In any case, I like PF and would recommend them.

When an unexpected annual charge appeared--with no prior notice--I cancelled my membership the same day. Given that I had already paid $10 per month for over a year for a service I was unable to use, I reached out to request a refund or some form of consideration. Unfortunately, they were unwilling to help in any way. When I called the local location, I only received what felt like a scripted response rather than a genuine attempt to resolve the situation. If and when my health improves, I'm honestly not sure I'd feel comfortable providing them my account information again.

July we were told that new management was coming that following Monday. I show up Monday no one there lights off doors locked. No explanation try reaching out to D1 no response for about 2-3 weeks. Finally we get a call stating that their new management and they will be starting class back up and that we would have the weeks missed added to the end of the contract. Well everything was fine until December 12 when I get a text message telling me classes were canceled. I called and spoke with Corey and he stated that the facility was going to be closing for renovations. I already knew something was up. The space is small what more can they do to it. Well, he told me that we will be getting an email from corporate about what going on and that we will be getting refunds. I did receive an email from corporate that Sunday night telling me another lie about what they're doing and how they plan to reopen in 6 weeks but that we were going to be getting a refund by the end of the week. That was December 15 and today is Jan 16 and I still have yet to receive anything from D1. I have sent emails with no response. I called the Frisco location which is were Corey from Firewheel D1 went to. He told me that refunds had been refunded, but after talking to some the other clients that also attended D1 Firewheel they have not yet received their refund either. I've reached out to corporate no response the number for corporate on the website for immediate assistance goes straight to voicemail. I really thought highly of D1 the trainers were all great. But, the owners they don't care about us. They only care about lining their pockets.
