Had pasta that was underwhelming and slightly luke warm. Soup the same. Stick with wraps, sandwiches, burgers, and fries. Ambiance is like any Houlihan's location. Nice and well kept, well decorated. Came in around 7PM for a last dinner with my family (Sister, Brother in Law, Mother in Law, Mother, and baby Nephew) before my brother in law was stationed in Syria. We ordered the Wings & Things Sampler, Calamari, and Spinach and Artichoke Dip. Everything was well until I bit into a stuffed shroom and found a metal wire inside. Luckily I felt it before swallowing. They explained that it came from the fryer basket that was broken, which they immediately threw out. Though I originally wanted to order the Fish and Chips for my entree, I was kinda wary about their fryer afterwards. Being that I was with my family including my two year old nephew, I was pretty shocked that this happened. At least it was me and none of them. Located in the Harmon Meadow complex.... Houlihans used to be a place that was a higher end franchise in my mind... but it's just seems mediocre now. Upon arriving- we were not greeted right away and when we were, it was blah. We were seated and again - it took a while before out waiter came and - he even didn't seem enthusiastic to serve us. Beware of the Impossible Burger because even though they are using a vegan patty, they also add cheddar cheese to make it not vegan, however there's still the "V" sign next to it on the menu. Reda was our server both times and both times she made sure our food came out fast and on time so we wouldn't be late watching the movie. She was attentive, helpful, informative, and friendly. Reda is the type of person where she makes you feel like family, and you came to visit her at home. The food was just the perfect portion size for the price that you are paying. This was a new chain restaurant for me. We got take out from here and had never tried it before. We ordered a bunch of appetizers. The stuffed shrooms were fancier than I was expecting. I thought they would be traditional mushroom caps with a light breading but they were actually batter fried balls stuffed with mushrooms and cheese. They came with a sauce similar to tartar sauce. Very crispy and the cheese melts inside so it's a nice, complex set of textures to bite into. We also got nachos. This is always a dicey move for takeout. They gave us a huge portion, which was great. I would've appreciated more toppings, especially cheese and jalapeños on the chips. The guacamole also wasn't the best, but these were still satisfying. The mozzarella sticks were classic and tasty. I also really enjoyed the buffalo cauliflower. The sauce was tangy and creamy and the cauliflower tasted awesome. Overall, I liked this place. I was not expecting to be impressed when I walked in on a Tuesday night the week of Thanksgiving, but here we are. I did the prix fixe menu with ahi tuna, 4oz steak and the butter cake. I don't know how they managed to get char on a 4oz steak cooked to medium rare, but it was awesome. The waiter pulled off ninja refills on my club soda with lemon and gave us updates on our food when he dropped by the table. It was easily the best $20 meal I've ever had. No clue if it was a quirk, but here's to hoping it's not. read more

Salad was old and wilted, Calamari are so small but look large due to the massive amount of breading (they even breaded the banana peppers!!?!!) One tiny little cup of marinara for the calamari which is a joke. Buffalo chicken wings need help. Came here tonight. Per the name on the receipt, Diana was our server but this review isn't really her fault. She was pretty sweet and nice and apologetic for everything. I don't think she was entirely trained properly because she didn't know the answers to most questions about the menu. She's not in the kitchen and she isn't a mind reader. She should know the answers because someone above her made sure she knew the answers to all questions. For example: my friend is Muslim and cannot eat pork. She asked if a dish was specifically beef and the server responded "most likely". We waited almost 20 minutes just to get water because she had to deal with her previous table of like 4 very elderly women giving her a problem about their discounts and coupons or something. Maybe could have been one more server. Chicken parm was not what I expected (after asking server if it's really thick, who didn't really know the answer, but it turns out it was) so I didn't eat it. Stayed on the bill lol. Spinach dip was spicy???? Good thing we didn't bring the kids who would have ordered it and not been able to eat it. When we walked in a man was waiting for the hostess for 5 mins. We waited an additional 10 with him. 3 other groups of people joined on the waiting. They were getting very frustrated asking us if anyone even came over here once (no). The guy waiting 15 mins made a few jokes about seating and serving himself. When the hostess realized there were people waiting, she quickly had us seated but when we all mentioned the wait, it was kind of brushed off. We ordered 2 different Entrees (Not lunch specials): Fish-and-Chips (More like the size of Sardines) and Barely 4 ounces of Meatloaf number 9 (There were no carrots and barely any mushrooms or gravy!) Not only were All the portions Incredibly Small for $17.99 each, the two sardines (fish) were dry and overcooked with a few wilted string beans and a large tablespoon of very well seasoned coleslaw. This Houlihan's have been around forever. I use to frequent this restaurant all the time when I was in high school to eat the desserts. Stopped in yesterday with my mom to grab some lunch after running some errands. I ordered two classic menu items. A French onion soup and the buffalo chicken sandwich (one of my Houlihan's favorites) both were wonderful. I was very satisfied!!! My mom ordered a crab cake sandwich and it was also very yummy.
