There's a reason this bar has 3 stars. My sister and I walked in through what was clearly an opening. The bar was practically empty compared to the one next door, so we walked in slowly, looking around because we were obviously confused. Instead of simply saying, "Hey, the entrance is around the other side," the bouncer immediately started yelling at us, asking if we were dumb, and acting like we had stormed the place. Meanwhile, another employee was literally putting a chain across that same entrance, so it had clearly just been open. The bouncer was on a pathetic power trip and seemed to get way too much satisfaction out of screaming at two women over an honest mistake. If your biggest accomplishment is acting tough as a bouncer, maybe it's time to reevaluate a few things. read more

World Cup game day, asked for two beers that's it nothing more nothing less, woke up the next day to a $50 dollar charge for two beers. All the employees including bouncers on a power trip, didn't even get a receipt or anything. read more

Stopped in briefly and was immediately met with a very cold, unwelcoming energy. Despite the bar being completely empty, the bartender followed me and was incredibly rigid about a 'paying customers only' bathroom policy before I could even find my friend. It's a shame when a local spot chooses to be a hall monitor instead of being hospitable. There are plenty of other places nearby with a much better vibe. read more

It's definitely a good live entertainment venue , however their menu is EXTREMELY LIMITED and half of the items in the menu are spicy so if you are allergic to spicy food like me there's not much to eat . Service is ok , very basic but at least people are friendly . The vibe was not my favorite as there were way to many people intoxicated, someone dropped their entire drink on my leg and shoes , while someone else simply sat at our table for no reason and also spilled their drink ... Place is ok , I guess the people who frequent need to learn how to drink and how to behave . But that's not really their fault . What was formerly known as 80 River is now River Street Garage. In fact, the venue has changed names several times, but still remains a spacious, rowdy bar. While typically not my favorite scene, I decided to give the most recent rendition a chance and was not disappointed. My Casamigos and Club Soda with a splash of lime juice was perfectly balanced. My subsequent, more elaborate Espresso Martini might have been served in a plastic cup, but it was absolutely delicious. In addition, DJ Olive Oil was spinning a wide mix of hip-hop and pop punk from the 90s and 2000s, so I was in heaven! Around 10:30 pm, however, a band took over the tunes, and I was less impressed. Even though this is my first experience here I could not give it anything less than 5 stars. This bar/restaurant catered a birthday event for a friend of mine, and they did an amazing job. We were given only one waitress, Yesenia, and she was on top of everything. She separated everyones bill from the beginning so no messy exit at the end. Very cleaver of her. As for this establishment, the bar area is very open so no one will be bumping into you while you enjoy your drinks, or dance on the side. I like my space and to chill; not be bumped into or having drinks spilled on me. The restaurant section is also roomy with TV's and a projector. They have another room in the back for bigger parties and events. Down to business: What blew my mind was their unique squared pizza. I know, who could rave about pizza from a bar? I would come here to order this pizza as a takeout rather go around the corner for a pie! The Grandma with Prosciutto had a very robust flavor. The marinara sauce (made with San Marzano tomatoes), and pesto combination was a flavor burst with every bite, and I could not get enough. Each slice was built to hold all the toppings perfectly, and once I got to the crust I was shocked even more. I could either toss or enjoy the crust depending on the way its made, and this crust was the icing on the cake; devoured! I would like to come back just to try out more of their pies, and their unique way of making this "squared pizza". Definitely a pleasant surprise here. I wish I can give zero star. Bartenders are a rip off. I ordered a McCallan 12 and the bartender( I am not sure what her name is) told charges me $49. When I ask her she says it's double and I asked her you never asked me double or single . She was rude and did not seem interested . Never going back ...Zero stars for the service. read more

The security touched my boob when I was downstairs using the bathroom. He did it so the camera did not see and only saw us from the back so I cannot press charges. Girls should be very careful at this place or stay away! They let predators work around inebriated women. It is NOT SAFE! He should be fired and something should be done. First off, I wanted to give this place a few tries before even making a review for a couple of reasons, one being that I work very close to this location and I really wanted to try to like this place being that I loved the previous Cadillac Cantina. I was there a couple of times when it first opened during the weekdays with coworkers and service was good; the bartenders were attentive and the vibes in the bar was great. This review was not for those instances. I went to this bar last night with visitors and friends and unfortunately, my experience from it has altered my mind and my previous experiences went through my head. For a busy Saturday night with a young crowd, there were only two bartenders. I understand the craziness and what you need to do to get drink especially when I have a boyfriend in this bartending business but it also doesn't take 30 minutes to get a drink. The bartender was well aware I was there especially when I was in front of the bar the whole time I was trying to ask for one drink. Not only was I in front but the bartender looked at me multiple times, well knowing I needed her service. She instead kept servicing the same guys multiple times before I had to give up. On top of that, there were other few instances in which didn't help the situation. Overall, I was so turned off with service, and basically embarrassed for the visitors I had that we instead went to another bar. Sorry 80 River but that left a nasty taste in my mouth. read more

My friends and I went here on a Wednesday night. We were the only ones in the restaurant part and there were only a few people in the bar area. The service was very slow. Once we placed our food order, the food came out in the normal amount of time. It also took forever for us to receive our check because we couldn't seem to find our waitress. All the food was very good. We got the burrata, eggplant rollatini, pasta fagioli, grandma pie, and arugula pie. The burrata was served on a piece of grilled eggplant, which I thought was absolutely amazing. The flavors were great! Both pies were delicious and classic, along with the eggplant! The quality of the food was great and made up for the not so great service. I'm a strong believer in second chances so I will definitely try again, especially since the food was so good! read more

Very good hangout place for Sunday afternoons to watch football. They have a couch setup for the big screen TV. Food is pretty good and tends towards Italian. Pizza is great. Stopped by this new bar to check it out on the Saturday of Hoboken Santacon. I asked the bartender if there were any specials and she told me: "everything is a few dollars more today because its a big day to make money." Keep in mind the bar was completely empty. Besides the 4 people in my group there was one other couple in the whole place. Most of the staff were standing around talking. I ordered 2 domestic beers and 2 white claws for around $32 with tip. Total rip off. I won't be going back, there are too many good bars in the neighborhood, there's absolutely no need for this place and their price gouging. read more
