Cappuccino
Evelyn A.

Excellent service! Our waitress Carolina took great care of us, and the food was good. I ordered the avocado toast with salmon and the truffle oil Parmesan fries both were delicious. The cappuccino was great. The ambiance has a classy New York bistro vibe with a really cool gallery wall. There's also plenty of parking, which makes it a great spot to visit.

Outrageous chocolate cake

Sat outside on a beautiful evening. Got a triple decker chicken sandwich. Plenty of food and the chicken had a good flavor. It comes with fries and salad. $19.50. The salad was drenched with dressing. And the fries despite having seasoning on them lacked flavor. Also I asked to sub double salad instead of did fries and it didn't happen. My husband liked his omelet. Our friend got a mocktail which was more expensive than alcohol cocktails during happy hour. It is not really right that they do that. The waitress was nice. Slow to take orders but it was fine because we were with friends catching up. Had the chocolate cake for desert. It tasted like box devils food cake. Which was fine because that's kind of what I wanted, but I expected a better quality cake. Overall nice spot to come to after a movie. Big menu, nice cozy inside and nice space outside.

Friday happy hour margarita

Went for Friday margaritas $5 and $7 guacamole! Both were delicious the bar is the usual style sports on the tv and service was good although not super attentive and got drink orders wrong a couple times. The bar filled up quickly so get in early for these amazing deals. Will be back

Love the interior, beautiful, spacious diner. Always pretty busy but the wait for food isn't too long. We ordered breakfast, the burgers and onion rings passing by looked so good. Our food was good, nothing really special or memorable. The steak was ordered medium well but came well done and dry. Surprised they would send that piece of meat out to the table. The French toast lacked any depth, if that makes sense. The waitress wasn't as attentive as we're use to, never received a refill on my coffee. We kind of just ate our food and wanted to head out. Don't expect to return but understand why it's a popular diner.

Buffalo wings - amazing
Sarah P.

Came here for a brunch with a friend during dry January so I wasn't able to try the bottomless mimosas or $10 margs but that's okay - next time! The atmosphere here is great - very spacious, lots of tables, a huge bar, and great decor. I made a reservation for a Saturday at 1p, but there were quite a few tables open so maybe didn't need to use it. The menu is huge. They have plenty of breakfast, lunch and dinner options. Service was super friendly and fast. I decided to order a mix of breakfast and lunch - I got the pesto breakfast bowl. It looked amazing in the menu pic but in real life it was wayyy too much sauce so the lettuce was soggy. The wings, however, were some of the best wings I've had in a while. Perfectly crunchy crispy with the ideal amount of classic buffalo. I would definitely stick to that next time.

Half Corn Beef Half Pastrami

Clean, cozy, diner with very large portions. Everything we got was delicious and we would definitely come back! This is the spot to go to if you want good pastrami in the area. I'd also recommend upgrading your fries to the parmesan truffle fries (if you like those flavors). Be prepared for a wait on the weekends! We came on a Saturday around 11-11:30 and had a 30 min wait.

Great food, great ambiance, and pleasant staff. The only problem you will have here is what dish to order as they have a lot to choose from. Our waitress was attentive and super friendly! Parking is plenty but depending on the night you go, you may have to park a little ways away and walk.

Not only do I dig them for the food but for the way they welcomed the world's greatest band, Oasis to town. Carnegie Diner & Cafe has locations all over Manhattan and even one in Virginia, I think. I have eaten at quite a few in NYC but this was my first time at the Secaucus location. Exceptional service and food. We sat on the patio in front for lunch. My boyfriend and I got a caprese salad for the table (yeah, the two of us and our dog). He got the tuna salad melt and it was the quintessential NYC-area sandwich-four stars, he said. I had a cup of chicken soup (w/orzo & veg)-highly recommend. Made in-house everyday. We each had a mule-I got the strawberry one made with Grey Goose and the boyfriend got the Texas Mule. But, of course. You guessed it, made with Tito's. If you're in the area, this really is a nice spot for lunch, heck for any meal.

This is a centrally local gem, serving up a wide variety of delicious options to satisfy any craving. The friendly, attentive staff make every visit feel welcoming, turning a simple meal into a great experience you'll want to come back for again and again. I don't think there is anything on the menu I wouldn't try. Definitely coming back. Catch a game and grab a bite, there are plenty TVs, or simply sit outside and people watch.

A friend and I got together for dinner. When I arrived I parked in the plaza parking lot. I walked in and was greeted and sat. Robert was our server and he was great! We had: Vodka Martini Strawberry Grey Goose Mule Coconut Shrimp Vegan Meatballs NY Strip Bolognese Keylime Pie The food was good and my favorite definitely were the vegan meatballs. All in all I had a good experience!

Pesto Pasta
Grace K.

The food was okay. Typical diner food. Not sure if he was the owner or manager but he was very kind and offered my daughter w cupcake. However their cappuccino and coffee was delicious! It looks beautiful on the outside and the inside is spacious with clean bathroom which I appreciate.

We started off with some cocktails and they were divine. I was able to try quite a few things a steak app, the cauliflower app and the Seafood tower. Every single thing they brought out was so fresh and incredible, every single person at the table couldn't stop talking about how amazing it was wall. We are already planning on visiting again soon!

The problem is... it tries to be all 3. We started with the owner trying to seat us at a high top table that basically was halfway in a major aisle. He seemed perturbed when we asked for a different table. Fortunately a young girl framed the menus and brought us to a much nicer table. She was bubbly, friendly and full of enthusiasm. We chose this spot for dinner because of its proximity to our hotel but had there been other options... The music was so loud my wife couldn't hear me without my shouting. Nether could our waitress. She told us it's always this loud and they struggle to hear customers. The food was good although prices were a bit high. Waited was attentive. Half way through our meal, it suddenly got quiet. Very weird.

We actually called earlier in the day to ask if we can move up the reservation and they were totally fine with it. I guess it was not a busy time because it was empty when we arrived. We were seated quickly and welcomed by all the staff. The waitress we had was new and I wish I remembered her name. She was excellent! We started with drinks and everyone ordered the Frozen Ginny, except for my mom, who had a glass of wine. Me and my gf kept boasting about the frozen ginny and everyone loved it. It's the perfect amount of sweetness. We ordered a bunch of appetizers because we were all starving. We had the brisket sliders, octopus, shrimp tacos, and meatballs. It was all so delicious and filled with flavor. My fav was the brisket sliders. We ate everything and still had space when we moved onto our entrees. I think it was less because we were still hungry and more because it was soo good. I also boasted about the crab pasta so 3 out of the 5 of us had it. My mom and I ended up splitting the crab pasta and steak frites because that's also tasty. My gf had her salmon with salad that she was craving for a while. All of the dishes were a hit and my group kept saying how great the place was. My gf ended up getting me a custom cake and paid the cake fee but the Harry's team took it a step further and even helped her fix up the cake and put the candles in because the bakery messed things up last minute. The team went above and beyond with no questions asked to make our reservation smooth and enjoyable. I'm so grateful! I will be coming back soon DUH!

The vibe inside is calm and low lit, good for conversating with others. Although there really is not something that distinguishes the restaurant. The staff was helpful, no issues in service, they noted specific items which weren't available. Now the menu has just a few items which is not a bad thing but I went with the rigatoni bolognese. My honest opinion is that it was just ok, garlic bread was an added price, and for the price of this dish which was 25$+ for about 10-11 pieces of pasta ... it just is not justified. They are charging nyc midtown prices for average food... in a location where theres plenty of other spots that for half the price will give you double the amount.

Cancel your reservation and go to Woodhouse. This place- Huge disappointment. I read the reviews,…read morerolled the dice -- and completely regret it. Let's start with the basics: $65 for a steak with a $25 shrimp add-on -- and the food was barely seasoned. The meat quality didn't match the price tag, not even close. You'd be better off going to Peter Luger or literally any real steakhouse where they know how to treat a cut of meat. They offer poor quality cuts of meat with hefty price tags. Had to pay extra for bread which we asked for and they offered a "smoked" drink with smoke bitters- no actual smoke. Service? A mess. It took 20 minutes just to get our drinks, and the waiter messed up the order -- no apology, no urgency. There are no purse hooks, so be ready to juggle your bag in your lap or throw it on the floor. The ambiance/ city overlook is beautiful but only from the rooftop outside area as the big Waterway sign mucks up your photos indoors when pitched toward NYC. So that definitely isn't special or upscale enough to justify the premium pricing or overlook how mediocre everything else is including the drink menu. Honestly, I should've trusted my gut (and the critical reviews), but I gave it a shot and made an awful choice. Won't be back, and wouldn't recommend it to anyone who actually appreciates good food and decent service.

The service was still professional and friendly, but the food left something to be desired. Though it was a Thursday evening, the weather was not great, so it was not overly surprising that the restaurant was not very crowded. Because of that fact, the gracious hostess offered us our choice of a few different tables, from a larger booth to a two-top near the window. We opted for the booth that would give us a chance to look out into the restaurant AND to still see the Manhattan skyline. We decided to order some drinks, and I opted for an Espresso Martini, which was not typically something I would have gotten before dessert, but I wanted the extra caffeine! Plus, their version included a caramel cold foam, which enticingly made it extra creamy and delicious. In fact, it was definitely one of the best espresso martinis I had ever had. We were deciding to skip any starters, so we asked for some bread while we waited for our entrees. The plate of focaccia was decent and hit the spot, but we were charged $2 for it, which was not a big deal but also not appreciated. For my entree, I went with the Lobster Bouillabaisse. The broth was flavorful, but there was not much of it. In fact, the dish came with three sweet rolls to dip into the soup, but I could have lived with less given the limited amount of liquid in the bowl. The included blue prawns were good, but the Hokkaido scallops and lobster were chewy. There was also supposed to jumbo lump crab, which seemed to have been replaced by gritty clams. There were also leeks and Yukon potatoes that were sliced in small cylinders and looked fairly similar to each other. The potatoes were bland, cold, and under-cooked. Overall, it was not very impressive for $48. My companion's Prime Filet Mignon was of an unknown size on the menu, but arrived looking smaller than the typical 8-ounces. It was also over-cooked. He did like his mashed potatoes, though. For dessert, we decided to get the Apple and Pear Bread Pudding again, since that had been excellent last time and would hopefully be a redeeming feature of the meal, which it was. The sweet, caramelized brioche had been infused with cubes of fruit, baked, and drizzled with a sea salt caramel. We replaced the designated companion creme fraiche gelato with a scoop of passion fruit sorbet, which was less of an appropriate pairing, but more of an appealing variety to us. While Drift truly offered a stunning space with incredible service, they really could improve their culinary preparations.
