It is right off the highway but you rarely, if ever, hear any noise from 35. -Greenbelt access right behind the complex.There is a little piece of the greenbelt that is easy to get to from the neighborhood that is great to take your dog for some fetch or just to get some fresh air. -Few maintenance problems. The biggest problem we had was our fridge went out over the weekend (it was older than me!), but emergency maintenance came quickly and we got a new fridge by Tuesday. -Great location. Right off the highway. Walmart and Fiesta for quick grocery trips is right by. Right off of S. Congress, near Brodie, S Lamar, Auditorium Shores. -Great price. We paid less than $900/month for a 2 bed/2 bath including gas, water and pet rent. -Dog friendly. No dog park but they supply doggie bags for pick up. Wish there was more than one trash can for it though. Seems like every tenant has a dog. -Great neighborhood. Battle Bend Springs is a great neighborhood that I enjoyed walking my dog in. Can be traffic-y due to the motor mile being right by. Cons: -it is an older complex, so some of the cabinets/vanities are old and falling apart and the laminate flooring is curling up and has paint stains. There is SOME crown molding but it's random throughout the apartment. The showers and tubs are just coated in some kind of white sealant to put off an appearance of newness and cleanliness but it peals off easily and shows what is truly underneath. -Walls are very thin and even though we are on the 2nd floor, I could hear people's entire conversations outside in the mornings. -No real amenities to speak of, which is a big con for me. The pool is minuscule. If someone else is already in it, you might as well not go in. Unless you're ok with awkward, close contact swimming. -Most of the balconies/decks are not private so anyone could walk up and grab your stuff. -Washers and dryer hook-ups for the 2 bedrooms are OUTSIDE. Really inconvenient when it's cold and also I constantly dropped stuff on the dirty concrete trying to bring it in the house. -8 cars were broken into in one night, including my husbands. Not the first time I saw cars broken into here. Wish they could install a gate and had better security. Despite the break in(s) I never felt unsafe here. Overall it's perfect for someone looking for a simple, quiet place to live with no frills.

Although it was made law that we could not travel, they still charged me $600 for nothing. If I could give this company a negative rating, I would. This should be illegal as I did not want to cancel, I was forced to due to the circumstances. All of their customers should get their money back if they were impacted by COVID19. Cindy was great the whole time. During my time looking at homes, she listened to what I wanted and we customized what houses we would be looking at or not looking at from our list as we went along and I could see more of what I wanted and what I didn't. Cindy flexed and flowed the whole time, listening and making suggestions based on my various requests. This was a learning process for me too since it was my first home-buying experience. I really enjoyed working with Cindy and I would recommend her highly to anyone looking to buy a house. Cindy has been a RE agent in Austin for 18 years and so she really knows the lay of the land which I appreciated as well. When it came time to go through the paperwork for the house, Cindy knew it like the back of her hand and was right there by my side walking me through each step of the way. My refrigerator was leaking and within 2 days, the manager ordered a new one for me and had the maintenance workers install it right away. 5. Last but not least, the manager (Peggy) is wonderful. I lost my nerve after an offer I put in fell through, and I took a break. I met a great guy, who lived too far out of Austin and convinced him to move to Austin to date me (we're married now so it was worth it his time). I hooked him up with Sondra, and boy, I did not make it an easy sale for her. I think I vetoed somewhere in the neighborhood of 10 houses my at the time boyfriend liked (really, they had awful floor plans) and when we finally found the one, we both just knew. Sondra kicked butt during the sale. She asked for things we didn't think about asking that benefited us, and was firm with the seller. There was a lot of fight to put up to get the house but we didn't feel like we had to do any of it ourselves as Sondra was always on it. We never felt neglected, she was always prompt, honest, and excited to help. My now husband enjoyed working with her so much he used her services to sell the property he moved from. My husband had just returned from his 2nd deployment and we wanted to move away from Fort Hood and closer to Austin. My husband had contacted a few realtors and Diane was the first to respond. It was just a stroke of luck that she was so great to us! We met up with Diane and looked at houses for 2 days and during each day, she'd treat us to lunch at a local restaurant in town. The first day was just to look at houses that met our criteria of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathroom min in Round Rock, TX. After each house, we told her what we liked and what we didnt like. If we were running late, she'd phone the homeowners of the next house to let them know. On the second day, she narrowed down houses based on our feedback on the 1st day and we found our house! It was its first day on the market so my husband was willing to pay asking price, but Diane said we could still negotiate. So, with her advice, we were able to negotiate the price down, have the sellers pay 1/2 the closing costs and re-paint a few rooms in the thouse. We were thrilled! Diane had taken a picture of us with our new house and when we finally closed, she had framed it for us and also got us a Lampe Berger lamp. She had also helped a friend of mine purchase her first home and had paid for a brand new window as a housewarming gift to them. It's been 4 1/2 years since we've bought the house and Diane still sends us birthday cards (with a lotto ticket...no winners yet). I have nothing, but positive things to say about Diane and the whole homebuying experience. When we bought our first house in Copperas Cove, our realtor was very disorganized. With Diane, she was very informative and would notice things on houses that excited homebuyers wouldnt notice (like at one house, she saw that the house had no gutters and that the wood around the windows was rotting...eeks). And in the end, she found us our home!
