It was a good experience overall. They have knowledgeable and helpful sales people who answer your questions. I was able to test out the vacuum in store although it was very brief. Understandably, they didn't want me to run the vacuum too long as it was for sale and not a demo machine. My only concern is their return policy. I special ordered my SEBO Felix Onyx. I asked about return policy when taking delivery in case it wasn't the right machine for my house or my partner and was told exchanges only, no refunds. When spending this amount of money you want to be fully satisfied even if that means a refund. Thankfully I'm happy with my choice but if you plan on buying from here make sure the machine you buy is what you want. If ordered from the SEBO website they give you a 30 day Risk-Free Trial of the product. As a side note: they unboxed the machine for me and it was pre-assembled. They did not give me the box it came in and I would like to have kept that Edit 11/29/2024 - It's been a few days since I got my SEBO and in that time Black Friday sales have lowered the price. I inquired about price matching and I got a very kind and generous email from the CEO offering to send me a check for the difference in price. Love these guys! They are knowledgeable, friendly, and reasonably priced. I have had the greatest experiences when I go to them. Their office space is so clean until I wish I could sit down in there and have a cup of coffee with a good book! I am so excited that I found them. I have two Kirby vacuums and it is next to impossible to find good service for them, but House of Vacuums takes great care of me every time I go there. I have a whole house Central Vacuum system. This is a cumbersome system to clean the house more than once a week. I needed a smaller system to clean the house with. I knew I would find that in the House of Vacuums. The gentleman who walked me through a lot of really cool systems in the store was familiar with all in the store. I came home with an awesome vacuum. I really like this place. Tried to get my Kenmore vac serviced----unfortunately this well-performing vac is history as the parts are no longer available. I really appreciate the effort they took to fix this iconic vac. They kept me in the loop and will be the place I look for a replacement in the future. I have a Royal vacuum cleaner which still runs beautifully; however, it has been difficult to find replacement parts as this vacuum is no longer made. Needing new brushes, I went to House of Vacuums because I could no longer find the correct sized brush anywhere. The gentleman there suggested an adapter he had, and my problem was solved. We have just moved to the area and our old Electrolux vacuum bit the dust. So we picked out this particular business because it has been in business for, I think, 50 years. This means the community supports it. Its primary product is vacuums. They do know their business. Art, the sales person, was tremendous. He knew his products and every questioned asked was answered. We ended up buying a canister vacuum which is what we wanted and when we got home we tried it out and it was exceptional. This is the best vacuum we have ever owned and it comes with a 10 year warranty on parts and labor. This means the company stands behind their product. Kumi and Art helped me to choose the Miele C1 Compact Pure Suction vacuum cleaner. It is a great machine for my bachelor man-cave of 960 square feet, with 32 year old low-pile carpeting. I would recommend that machine, this store and these people five times a day and ten times on Sunday...but on Sunday I would leave an email for them, assuming that the store being closed on Sunday is a deal-breaker for you...bada boom! :0) read more

We dropped off our 24 year old Panasonic upright vacuum on December 29 because the roller belt wasn't turning the brush roller anymore. The problem was repaired, the motor was cleaned, a filter pad was replaced and a new high efficiency bag was installed. All this for less than $60 and it was ready on January 2! Just purchased a new Miele from these fine people. I went in with a very limited budget, and they were able to point me in the right direction. They respected the fact that I didn't have an unlimited budget, and did not try to push a unit that I could not afford. I shopped online, and other nearby Miele dealers, but could not find a deal as good as the one that House of Vacuums offered. I really liked the fact that they are a local business, and could support my future needs, unlike the online stores. read more

I recently took my Electrolux Eureka Oxygen vacuum powerhead in because it quit running. The owner looked at it and said the roller was locked up, plus the contacts were burnt up in one of the tubes. She said she could fix the powerhead, but it would cost about $200, for the parts and labor. She asked it I was ready for a new vacuum, and showed me a new Electrolux for $700+. I told her no, I thought I could do better than that. I took my powerhead to a friend. He took it apart and found a melted piece of plastic, which he removed. That fixed the powerhead! I went on Ebay, found a used piece of tube that was in good shape for $15 including shipment. It arrived yesterday, now my vacuum runs like a brand new one! Beware of vacuum repair shops that also sell new vacuum cleaners! I believe this lady really thought I would buy into her advice and buy a new vacuum! Also, the same vacuum she was trying to sell me for $700, I found a brand new one on Ebay for less than $400! read more
