We have started to frequent the Houston Cider Company every other weekend or so. The flavors are inventive, strong, tasty, and unique and I love being able to take the ciders I love to go. The owner is truly the kindest and nicest, along with his employees. He offers recommendations and tastings, as well as great conversation. The flight is unbelievable, and I got pretty toasty trying it, lol. It is a small building but I love that it's an intimate place, tucked away in the neighborhood. Be careful if you are driving - the driveway is extremely steep and we can only safely clear it in our crossover/suv. read more

Unique cider flavors and super friendly service. The parking lot is very small and the driveway is VERY steep so beware small cars - come in and out at an angle. There is also a parking lot across the street. Didn't try the pizza but it smelled amazing and they have gluten free pizza too. read more

Having had ciders in several places in the US, this spot is the best! I believe they are the first cidery in Houston and they live up to the name for sure. They have innovative flavors, such as Singapore sling, blueberry lavender, and raspberry lemonade, and none of them disappoint. We just wish they had better food options. But if you are looking for some excellent local cider, be sure to check them out! P.S. if your car has a low clearance, just park on the next street instead of their lot. read more

Houston has cider? Who knew? After being an avid cider lover, I was so excited to see Houston Cider Co in the grocery store. I stopped by with my husband today to try all their 8 ciders. We got 2 flights which are 4 small glasses in which you choose the flavor, thus we tried all 8. I have to say OH MY LORD - the "fuzzy" is so good. It "punches you in the face" with ginger and then tapers off. I'm thoroughly enjoying it with a poké bowl right now. The dry cider is traditional, whereas people who like sweet cider (ew gross) will adore the sweet cherry pie cider. Every season they rotate so get in within the next two weeks to try the fuzzy (or forever feel FOMO). Can't wait to see what they brew up for fall. If there isn't a pumpkin cider, I'm revolting. read more

Pulling up it doesn't look like much. There's a small outdoor patio with some greenery and picnic tables. Inside is cozy and cute with local art for sale on the walls. Our bartender was so chatty and patient and we just loved him--he made us feel so at home. The ciders were all delicious and I enjoyed the earl grey tea ones. My favorites were the seasonal "fall back" (of which I bought 4 cans) and the hibiscus lime and the cherry ones. Do yourself a favor and check it out! You won't be disappointed. A great addition to Houston! After buying the cider in stores we decided to try it out. We sampled all of the ciders and they were SO GOOD! The woman behind the bar was super polite and informative. Yay! Finally a cider in Houston! I so enjoyed coming here because I really dislike beer. I tried a flight of ciders and they were all delicious. The Jalapeno Pineapple stood out (4 stars), as it was a perfect combination of sweet and spicy. I also had the Ruby Red Radler (5 stars), Cherry Cider (5 stars), Hazy Hopped (4 stars) which is a little more beer forward (but I still really liked it), and one more that I cannot remember. We went on Sunday for all day Happy Hour, which brings down the cost of some of the drinks. They also have trivia on Sundays at 6:30 with Geeks Who Drink and we had fun. Houston Cider Company does have an outside, but as I went on a really cold day, so we didn't utilize it. It is my understanding that sometimes they have food trucks, but they didn't on the day we went. read more

I came here for Geeks Who Drink tonight and the bartender said nothing to me when I approached the bar, we stood there, just him and I saying nothing. No, "What can I get you?" No acknowledgement of me. Matter of fact, I initiated conversation said, "Are you working? Are you ready?" I usually tip when I come but I couldn't this time because of shitty customer service. Clearly, he wasn't looking for it anyway. There's not much of a draw here besides the trivia on Thursday and because of the low turnout it's the last week here. read more
