I've been here twice both times for birthdays. And honestly I dont like the place. Food is a hit or miss First time I went the food was terrible ,second time I went I shared a plate of surf and turf and it was actually good Service was horrible both times, it seems that they are low on stuff all the time. Had to ask them several times for them to bring something. It took almost more then an hour to receive food. Drinks were alright This place is very loud and not because there's a live DJ, because of the people. I did not like the vibe of this place when I went because there's alot of very drunk people. And it's not really my kind of vibe. I honestly wouldn't recommend anyone to go here, there's so many other great places in Centropolis then this place.

It's a cool restaurant that's sorta like a mix between a club/bar and restaurant. You'll dine like a restaurant but they have a DJ spinning throughout meals but doesn't make the place overtly noisy, can definitely still have your conversations without needing to scream at one another. Did I mention the waitresses are HOT? Dam... Food quality was definitely good, we had the NY Striploin and it was up there with the best of steakhouses. It's definitely not a quiet place so if you're younger and love the club vibe than this place is definitely a great place to hangout. Crowd's mostly working professionals and with quite some beautiful people hanging around so I'd recommend you dress up a little or might feel a little out of place. Did I mention the waitresses are really hot? :)

First time here and it was a nice experience. Where to start? Well, first off, the servers all look like French models. Wow. Very beautiful. And they wear revealing dresses which look classy. The meal was good (salad with seared tuna) and the atmosphere was perfect. We ate outside and the weather was a perfect 75F. I want to come back for the steaks and appetizers as they looked great but I had too much for lunch so I opted for one of the 8 or so salads. Prices are mid range which are just above the popular chains but less than a specialty chop House by far, but the quality doesn't look to be much less. I am here all week so hopefully I'll be back soon. Enjoy!

We came here after buying a gift card at Costco. The waiter was super nice and did a great job serving us except that he was kind of slow (e.g.: it took him 10 min to serve us our water). We had the calamari as an entrance and it still tasted a little bit of flour and it was kind blend. The quantity was also not generous. After that my mom and I had the cote levee au jus and my side was the all dressed baked potato and she had the house salad. The meat was also rather blend and the texture was not that pleasant. I asked for rare but it tasted more like medium rare and the baked potato tasted like complete shit. My mom salad did not look or tasted fresh and it was for some reason extremely oily. We wont be coming back but it is kind of a shame that the taste doesnt match with the excellent service.

Typical American style steakhouse comparable to a slightly nicer Outback Steakhouse. Food took quite a while to come out but the drinks were quick. The ambiance is some mix between nightclub and restaurant. Food portions were adequate but somewhat repetitive as the same aspects appear in many dishes.

No more wonderful steak Philly on the Friday. Most of what was offered on that daily menu is permanently gone. They added many different poutine that actually existed before but part of a secret menu you could learn from their social network page. Some starter too. They change the recipe of some of the food. The Mac N cheese is now more creamier and the cheese is more present and flavourful. I never had it by itself, but in the poutine Mac TeX, it's a miss for me. It used to be the poutine I always take when I go there, poutine Mac TeX. Tried it 4 times already since the switch, always the same and I don't like it unfortunately. Maybe others don't. From the post they made on Instagram stating that it was now creamier due to popular demand, I guess that's how people like it. But I think people was taking it by itself and not into a poutine (I never see much people eating a mac te when I'm there). Also the new Mac N cheese on the Mac TeX make it you taste nothing except the creamy liquid cheese from the Mac N cheese, nothing else. I normally add the homemade steak sauce available on the table in the poutine and when I tried it with the new recipe, it wasn't good. I also trie the dirty Poutine. I totally forgot what it is. There's like 2 sauce, I think it's meat sauce? Sorry I really forget. It was good, but about half way through, I was done with the taste just like the current Mac TeX. I still finished it though. Again, it's not bad, everyone has different taste and I started by liking it. I had the same experience when eating the smashburger poutine after eating a smash burger. Don't do it, take either one, not both unless your really into the taste of smashburger cause that's the only thing you taste. Last time I went, I took again the smashburger double cheese and bacon, a must for me, and I took a regular poutine. First time in what, 2 years and at least 30 visit that I take the regular one. It was good. I do miss my og Mac TeX but it's a good replacement. The bonus is it cost about 10$ less and fill less, so I was able to take something off the desert menu for the first time. I toon the chocolate cake and it was very good. The service is always good when I go there. It might be a bit a miss when it's overbooked specially if your table is hidden In a corner (happened a bit in the past). The only reason I bring from 5 to 4 stars is only because I prefered the old menu and old recipe. I did talk to a staff last time about the Mac TeX recipe and was told sometime it's because of new chef. I guess he wasn't aware that the recipe actually change, he did seemed new since I hadn't seen him before. I'll talk to jack or one of the owner last time, not to bad mouth, simply to have feedback from customer on the menu.

Our server was really good and the food was really good. We tried the non-alcoholic guava mule. The guava was nice and sweet and complimented the spicy of the ginger beer. We ordered a French onion soup, steak Diane, and a beef Wellington. The entrees came with choice of salad. We tried one of each , house Gibby salad and the blue cheese wedge. This was a lot of food for us. The French onion soup was my favorite, good flavor, lots of onions and that nice browned cheese top. Both salads were good, the house salad was a little lighter since the blue cheese wedge salad had a rich blue cheese dressing and bacon bits on top. The steak and beef Wellington was also good. In general, we ordered medium rare, it was a little bit rarer than I expected but not I'd edible. So something to think about if you need your meat to be cooked more. The prices seemed fair for a steakhouse and for the amount of food we ate.

Walking in, the atmosphere struck me--it's dark and cozy, but still well lit enough to feel inviting. We were seated right away. I was a little worried about how we were dressed, but the vibe turned out to be pretty flexible. We saw everything from nicely dressed couples to a bachelor party--complete with the groom-to-be in a hotdog costume! The menu was straightforward but impressive. Every entrée comes with your choice of a Gibbys salad or a wedge salad with blue cheese, plus a potato (do yourself a favor and get the Monte Carlo--you'll thank me later). For my appetizer, I ordered the French onion soup. I've said before that certain restaurants have the "best" one, but this version may actually take the crown. It wasn't oily, and it was perfectly topped with a generous, melty layer of cheese--the way French onion soup should be. I followed that with the Gibbys salad and a 12-ounce filet. I love a good filet, and this one hit the mark. My husband went for the lamb with the wedge salad and enjoyed both thoroughly. By the end, we were far too stuffed for dessert, so we called it a night. If you're looking to splurge on a memorable, romantic dinner in Montreal, Gibbys is the place to go

As for the food, everything was great. They did change a while ago the baked beans recipe, I still prefer the older one but they had it better today. It was less sugary. The crevettes bang bang (fried shrimp) was also good. Be aware the aioli does have a kick to it!! French onion soup was also good but a tad bit salty for me. As for the entrees, we ordered the steak frites, bavette (iirc) and the scallops. Didn't particularly enjoy the texture of the bavette. Would recommend the normal frites.
