Houston hot chick is a great place to go to located in la centerra especially if you're craving a chicken sandwich. The mild was alright but one thing that was a little lacking of flavor was the sauce. Other than that, the chicken was really good, well seasoned and breaded well. The bun was crispy and it didn't feel greasy after eating it. The service was very kind, and they often checked to see how we are doing. Inside, it's a great place for casual visits and quite spacious.

Best fast food hot chicken ever! The service was helpful and quick while providing high quality good sizes chicken tenders. Not only does it have heat but the ambiance was also just as stylish brining in amazing vibes with the great services!

Great food and a little better take on the mild to hot range for their chicken menu. Did the habanero heat level, had a good kick. I'm ready to go up a level. They go all the way to Carolina Reaper hot, don't think I'll ever get to that level plus you have to sign a waiver for that one AND their is one part of your body that does not build up a resistance to the heat so you will be saying "OWWY OWWY AAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!" about 2 hours later. Staff was great and location in LA Centerra Katy TX is perfect overlooking the green. Nice bare and AC to at least keep you cool while you get that great tasting chicken with a nice mouth burn for those who love very spicy.

Sandwich & Tenders - One of the best hot chicken sandwiches I've had in Houston! Perfectly crispy with amazing flavor, but I personally preferred the tenders. They were even juicier. The sauce was light but flavorful. 9.5/10 Fries - A must-try! Super crispy, fresh, and seasoned perfectly. 10/10 Service - Friendly and helpful staff. 10/10

Location is easy to find with plentiful parking in the shopping center. The service was great. You order cafeteria style and they'll call you up when it is ready. They also have a bar area which is nice. The food tasted great. I got a chicken sandwich meal and tenders. Spice level for hot was perfect for me.

Again, another great meal for the wife and I. Sat outside as it is a beautiful day. After seeing the size of the chicken tender, we split the 3-pc tenders and fries. We each ate one tender (about a half or a chicken breast? And took the other one home. Perfect meal for us.

Got the salad with hot chicken and WOW... I wasn't expecting a salad to hit like that. The chicken was crispy, spicy, and full of flavor, and the salad was actually fresh and satisfying. A whole meal, not just a "salad.

Classic chicken sandwich with iconic house sauce!!!

If you love bold flavors and heat, Houston Hot Chicken is the spot. Their Nashville-style hot chicken is crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and comes in heat levels from mild to Houston we have a problem. The spice isn't just heat--it's full of smoky, garlicky, tangy flavor that builds with every bite. The sides are just as satisfying--creamy mac and cheese and savory collard greens pair perfectly with the fiery chicken. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, making it perfect for a quick, flavorful meal with friends. Bottom line: Houston Hot Chicken delivers on spice, flavor, and crunch. A must-try for anyone who can handle the heat!

4.5 2nd time here! Loved it so much the 1st time I came back 2 days later. Service was fantastic once again. Decided to try out something different this time. I got the waffle milkshake (5 stars), fries, and honey butter tenders. Tenders were juicy BUT the honey butter lacks flavor unfortunately. It barely came through. My sister got lemon pepper and I wish I would've ordered that flavor instead. That being said, I'll be back anyways and will either order lemon pepper or mild. Place was clean as usual, music at a good volume, and service was quick and it was nice that the staff checks on us every now and then.

Me and my hubby love this place. We share a meal each time and it is always the right amount of food. The chicken is awesome! We have been 3 or 4 times already and plan to return several more times. Bar service is lacking so that the reason for the 4 stars and not 5.

Stumbled upon here as we were deciding where to eat. Great chicken store with extremely spicy levels. I got 3 chicken tenders and you can customize spicy levels, decided to try lift off for one of them. Booooooyyyy was it spicy but amazing. If you can tolerate good spicy food, you have to try them. Maybe will try the Houston level next time. Fries were ok, came with a sauce. They also served drinks aka full bar. Clean and tidy. It is $$$ for chicken, but better than many other chicken stores. Will be back!

The temperature isn't the only HOT thing in Houston!! Stopped in to pick up some tortilla soup to go! Spice level "Houston, we got a problem" makes you sweat, but I love it! The spicier, the better! It's the best $5 you'll ever spend. The location is bright, clean, with modern decor, and spacious. The staff is super friendly, helpful, and patient.

This is the best non-food truck chicken sandwich in Houston. Mac & cheese is good. The shakes are even better. Can't go around here.

I've been to the Austin one for takeout but never dined in...this was going to be a great experience. I got the regular bowl hot with boneless breast and although the breast was extraordinarily small, with a bunch of sauce the plate was delicious. I wish there was a little bit more hummus however. Of course I added a hot skewer à la carte because they're the best darn things on the menu. The manager checked on us to make sure we were having a great dining experience and the staff was super nice and accommodating (it was very slow for a weekend). I wish the place was a bit cleaner but it looked like they were preparing for a huge USA World Cup event the next day.

I would definitely come back for the food and the service. However, I do have one concern that I really hope the restaurant will consider. I wish they had separate restrooms for men and women instead of having unisex restrooms. The first time I went to the restroom, there was a guy literally getting out of the restroom. When I went inside, the toilet had urine all over it. I didn't want to clean someone else's mess, so I went to the second restroom. Literally, there was another guy getting out of that restroom too, and when I went inside, he hadn't even flushed the toilet. So I had to go back to the first restroom, clean the toilet myself so I could use it, and then go back to my food. Honestly, it was very unpleasant and disturbing, and I felt nauseous afterward. I understand that restroom cleanliness depends on the people using them, but I really wish they would consider having one restroom for women and one for men. It would make the experience much more comfortable and hygienic for everyone. The food and customer service are wonderful, and I truly hope they address this issue because I would love to continue coming back.

A special shoutout to Ulises, who made our experience exceptional. He was incredibly attentive, friendly, and fast without ever making us feel rushed. It's rare to find a restaurant that combines amazing food, excellent service, and thoughtful hospitality so well. After living in Houston for…read more15 years and dining all over the city, this was by far the most disappointing restaurant experience we've had. What made it even more frustrating is that we've been to the Cypress location many times, and every single visit there has been exceptional -- great food, great service, and consistently enjoyable. Unfortunately, the La Centerra location was the complete opposite. We waited over an hour for our food, only to receive the wrong appetizer. The fajita plate arrived cold and without rice, beans, or tortillas. We sent both dishes back. The replacement appetizer -- ceviche tostadas -- finally arrived, but it was overloaded with lemon to the point of being unbearably sour. Meanwhile, there were still no tortillas, rice, or beans in sight. No drink refills, no updates, and barely any service during the entire wait. After another long stretch of waiting, we finally asked the server what was happening, only for her to return and tell us the kitchen was closing and they no longer had tortillas, rice, or beans available. At that point, after nearly 1.5 hours, we walked out with nothing but a to-go box of fajita meat. To the manager's credit, they removed the appetizer and fajita charges from the bill, but the experience itself left such a bad taste that it completely overshadowed the gesture. Extremely disappointing, especially compared to the excellent standards we've experienced at the Cypress location. Sadly, we will not be returning to this location.

So we decided to try the burgers during this trip. I will say this, I will never order another burger at this restaurant. We are huge fans of fresh hamburgers, and we always try them at most restaurants that we go to. So we got a Hickory burger, a bacon cheeseburger, and a regular cheeseburger. All of our burgers were well done to the point that they were hard to chew and they were not tasty. Normally at this restaurant, food comes out very quickly, but this time it did take a little longer and now I know why. I was very disappointed in all of the burgers and how they were really way too well done. The restaurant was super busy and we should've said something, but we did not because we had been waiting so long. We just did not want to wait any longer. The french fries were super hot and fresh, I will give them that. I think at this point, we will stick to the chicken tenders because those are super good, but the burgers were not good at all. Again, we really enjoy this restaurant, but we are going to stick to what we normally order. If you order a burger at Mia's table, make sure you tell them that you want it done medium, and not well done. Other than this experience, we have always loved the food there and you get free ice cream after your meal. We highly recommend the chicken tenders and the baked beans are phenomenal. The green beans are great. The banana pudding is great and the staff is super friendly.

They serve brunch on Saturday and Sunday until 330. The brunch menu is huge. It is not a super large menu, which I feel very endearing. We decided to try the bagel and lox with cream cheese, the Buzz burger with fries, and their homemade chips. They start off by bringing you this beautiful craft of bottled water. That to me was an amazing bonus. We also ordered two sodas which came in a can. I sort of wish it was a more of a fountain drink than one can of soda for the price. *Now service was super slow. However, the waitress did come and tell us that they are running a little behind and she apologized for it and she was super sweet, so that made up for the weight. How do I known how long it was going to take, I don't know if I would've stayed, but in the end, the food was amazing. The burger was cooked to perfection. My boyfriend is a hamburger snob and he kept saying how good it was how fresh it was and how perfectly cooked it was. They serve you shoestring fries that feel like they're double fried and they were phenomenal. My bagel was toasted perfectly and had a very good amount of cream cheese and lox. As a Jewish girl living in the area that I do, it's very hard to find good bagels with lox and cream cheese. I will most definitely be back for this sooner than later. The homemade chips took quite a while to come out, and at one point I was ready to say we don't need it, but these potato chips beat Buccees beaver chips, 100%. They were super fresh and very crunchy and tasted amazing. I will definitely recommend those to anybody that orders some. My boyfriend then ordered a tropical sunrise smoothie and it was so tasty and tasted like a strawberry banana smoothie. Now once again that did take a long time to come out and at one point, we were wishing we had not ordered it but once we did get it, it was really good and I highly recommend it. The restaurant is not very large and it's the perfect brunch spot for anybody looking for a smaller Cafe with very good choices.
