I am visiting the San Luis Obispo area, and my son came down with an ear infection and had developed a funky rash. I called every ND in the area and soonest anyone could fit me in was in another 2 weeks! I was ready to drive to an office in LA when I contacted Dr. McGaughney. She fit me in the same day! I liked her office, it is professional without the typical sterile doctor office feel. My immediate impression of her was great. She was very attentive and listened to my rambling very patiently, despite the fact that she probably knew what the problem was right off the bat. She was incredibly warm and caring and was great with my baby. She diagnosed the issue very quickly (but not in a rushed sort of way) and offered several different options for mitigating his symptoms and boosting his immune system. Called Bobbi and she was booked up for almost a week out but she made a few calls and was able to get another local masseuse Jodi (sp?) to help out so I could get in the next day. Jodi gave me a great 90 minute massage and I left feeling much better. Awesome accommodation on short notice! Only surprise was at the register when I found out they don't take credit cards. Fortunately there is an atm about 100 feet from the shop but it charges a stiff fee if you aren't a customer. Best bet is to bring along plenty of cash.
