Good service, good food, nostalgic atmosphere with all the sweetness of a Coffee Shop. Enjoyed a very hefty breakfast with friends. Eggs, a biscuit, hash browns, and a delicious cup of coffee. My husband had pancakes and eggs and he enjoyed them. All good here! Clean dining room and bathrooms. Easy parking.

Denver omelette w/ hash browns & Texas omelette w/ home fries (add onions and peppers)

Compared to other diners in the area, this place is certainly on the pricier side. Yet, I was thoroughly impressed through and through. The service, the food and everything in between made this a great breakfast for me and my family. My gf had the denver omelette with hash and I had the Texas style omelette with home fries (reccomend that you add onions and peppers). The cook did a phenomal job. Omelette cooked to a great texture and the hash brown cooked to a perfect golden crusted brown. Great textures and great tastes. There house salsas paired perfectly with the meal while also catering to my love for spiciness. I had to say I was a bit skeptical when I saw the prices, but the staff absolutely delivered. You also can't help but feel like you're in a diner that's been there since the 70's, where nothing has changed since. Give it a shot. Don't let the prices scare you away, and decide if it's worth it for yourself.

I've passed this place on more than one occasion, both to, and from, visiting the cemetery up the road where several of my family members reside. And, more than once, I've gotten more than a little curious as to what the place was like, and what they served. Well, the name in and of itself should give you at least SOME kind of idea. Howard's Coffee Shop. It's a place to go for a kuppa kawfee. And, a bite to eat, of course. A bit of research later, I decided to have a late breakfast after visiting my aforementioned family members at the cemetery. As I pulled into the parking lot, aside from one other vehicle, the place was deserted. I walked into the front doors, same thing. The place was empty, aside from the server, and the cook. I was greeted as I walked in, and was told I could sit anywhere, so I took a seat at the counter. The place has a winter lodge-type feel(not a bad thing, mind you), almost like a place you'd stop by when you're on the road, and need a break from all the mileage to get a bite to eat, and a kuppa kawfee. The server asked if I wanted anything to drink, and I ordered a large Orange Juice, and a glass of ice water. After perusing the menu, I settled on the Hobo Omelette, with hash browns, and biscuits & gravy on the side. My food was delicious! The omelette was quite tasty, with the fillings(sausage, tomato, mushrooms, onions, and mixed cheese blend) making it a delight to my taste buds, which should make most people happy, myself included. The hash browns, while not the texture I'm used to(they were thinly shredded), were delicious, as well. Now, the biscuits & gravy: I was a bit leery at first because, while I was reading something on my phone, I heard the sound of a microwave oven. "Uh-oh...", I started thinking. A microwave in a diner/coffee shop being used to heat up food is never a good sign. If they were to use it to quick boil water, that's another story. I looked up to see the server pull my biscuits out of the microwave. I said nothing, figuring I'd give them a chance. The biscuits & gravy were served on the side, on a separate plate, and, despite my reservations, were great! Much better than the last place I had b&g. The gravy had a nice flavor to it, and the biscuits had a good texture to them. As I said before, the place was deserted when I went there. Not sure why, I mean, it's in a good spot where residents, and passers-by can easily stop in, with a good sized parking lot. This place deserves more love than what I saw on this particular weekend, granted, I don't see how they do on weekdays, or on other weekend days, but, like other small businesses, this place needs more love from the public, so, I do recommend this place, yes.

I really like how comfy this place feels like you're in a quaint little shop. The service is attentive and welcoming. The food is good, especially the potatoes. Instead of cubes of potatoes, they make thin crispy slivers. It's pretty good. I would only really knock down 1 star because of the price. It's a little too steep for diner food.

The food is good and is a good portion to get you nice and full. Service if fast and waitress are really nice. It has a nice homey feel and I totally recommend this place. Great selection of food as well.

I phone in my order 10 mins before I head there because they make the sides fresh always. They pick up the phone quickly and are always nice and happy to help. I got through the drive thru to pick up and pay never have any problems. Portions of all the sides are huge I can barely make a dent in them I always have leftovers and they heat well in the air fryer. Zucchini fries are my favorite skinny, crispy, yet soft from the cooked zucchini and always hot great with ranch! I always have wingstop ranch in the fridge so I pair it with that because their ranch isn't that great. Onion rings crispy and a nice bite from the onions which are still crunchy. Chili cheese fries, delicious and very cheesy love it with some hot sauce and ranch. The fries are always crispy and fresh. Some times I get plain fries too and they do not disappoint. Again the portions are huge and the price is very nice and fair for how huge the portions are I will always come back!

Sometimes people come in with a negative attitude and that affects the experience--customer service goes both ways, and the customer isn't always right. From my experience, everything was on point. We'll definitely be ordering again.

The service is good, the wait staff are polite and seem like they're always on the move. There are booths and smaller tables inside, and a handful of outdoor seating options that are covered with parasols. Out of all the times I've been here, I've never had an issue with the food. I mainly get the breakfast options like the eggs Benedict, pancakes, waffle combo, crepes, and best of all the sirloin. Everything is cooked to perfection, nothing is under or over, and it's the right level of crisp. The home fries/hashbrowns are soooo good. The idyllic potato side for breakfast. My latest choice was the sirloin steak and I can definitely attest to it - juicy, a nice medium rare with a bit of fat to add flavor. Only gripe was that the side of A1 sauce they gave me wasn't enough, and it wasn't ideal calling them over for more. Prices are fine, not too crazy. I think for 3 people with drinks, it was around $60 after tip and tax. Good for a brunch spot - they do close a bit earlier so it's smart to check the times. Overall a great spot! Definitely my go to when I want a nice cozy brunch restaurant.

The service was adequate and the staff was polite enough, but the food didn't really stand out. I ordered the BLT with fries ($15.65), and honestly the sandwich was on the small side with very little bacon on it. The bacon itself was cold and tasted like it had been sitting out for a while before being served. The oatmeal and toast ($8.50) and drinks were fine, but nothing memorable. Prices were: * BLT with fries - $15.65 * Oatmeal and toast - $8.50 * Hot chocolate - $2.95 * Dr Pepper - $2.95 Total for two people came out to $32.38 before tip. Nothing terrible, but nothing that would make me want to come back either. Just an OK experience overall and probably not a place I'd return to.

It wasn't the kind of group where I felt comfortable asking to taste everyone's food, but my chicken fried steak was excellent! They offered both beef or chicken options.
