Was craving some diners food and stumbled upon this place 10 mins away from my place. They have daily menus, so better to check them out based on the day you come by, they have a pretty good deal. Their price is also reasonable for diners. It was pretty empty when we came on a Saturday. Our big group was seated right away because they have tons of open seats. The food came out pretty quick as well, and there are tons of parking spaces in the plaza~

    They closed today

I was here for breakfast today and by 2pm they were closed permanently I enjoyed going here for many years.

I decided to stop in for breakfast before heading out to do Volunteer work. I'd been looking over their menu beforehand to decide ahead of time. When I arrived, it was a few minutes after opening, and there were a few other diners I there, already, and the television was on. My Server, Rosa, greeted me, and showed me to a booth seat, and asked if I wanted anything to drink. I ordered an orange juice, and a water. Both arrived a couple minutes as I was looking over the menu. She asked if I was ready to order, and I said I was, and I ordered The Meat Lover with Scrambled Eggs, and Hash Browns. My order arrived at my table within 10 minutes, and, it was both delicious, and, filling! Everything was warm when I got it, including the hash browns, which were good and crispy. Aside from the TV, the place was fairly quiet, aside from the usual noise from the kitchen. Rosa was a sweetheart, and attentive to my every need, and even checked in on me shortly after I'd taken a few bites of my meal. I was full for a better part of the day, thanks to a filling meal from a great diner!

I'm working through a list of all of the well-known diners in and around Los Angeles County and next up on my list was Goldenwest. It's a traditional LA diner located right off the freeway in a busier part of town. It is a traditional diner in that there is a large menu, fast service, and fair prices. There is a large free parking lot attached to the restaurant and inside is quite large. There is booth, counter, and table seating as well as a room that can be used for private parties. Our server was very polite and everything that we ordered came out extremely fast. For my first visit, I wanted to order one of my favorite dishes, which is Eggs Benedict. I chose the Burger Benedict and was so excited to eat it that I forgot to take a picture. The burger patty was seasoned well and cooked perfectly and overall, it was just really good. I also had a Cup of Chili prior to this and thought it was honestly great. One of the better chilies that I've had in a long time and I would get a bowl next time I am here. Overall, a really solid diner with fair prices and great food. I would recommend and would stop in again next time I'm in the area.

One of the few diners in OC I love visiting, and the food really isn't bad, not amazing but still satisfying. We got the turkey dinner which is seasonal, and the spinach omelet, both were delicious. The interior has a certain diner charm to it but could use some moderation, and the service here is excellent

Was in the area and a buddy of mine wanted diner food so here we are. I've been wanting to try this spot out since Spire shut down and am glad I got to try this place. The fried chicken was recommended so my buddy got the chicken and waffles w scrambled eggs and I got the dinner fried chicken with baked potato. The fried chicken was amazing, crispy on the outside and moist on the inside! We preferred the dinner version as the waffles were not freshly made but frozen. Overall the service was incredibly friendly and helpful. Fried chicken was on par. Will def be back again next time we're in the area.

I've driven by this place a few times and had it in my head to stop in but never did. That was a misstep on my part. It's a great little place to go eat. The menu is has tons of options (I've never seen rib-eye benedict on a menu before!), and the service is top notch! Asked my waiter for something and then someone else brings it in less than a minute. At one point two people were bringing me things at the same time. And they are super nice! It was hard to choose one thing so to keep it simple I got the Meat Lovers plate and that was delicious. Couldn't even finish it all. I'll definitely be back!

Recently came in to visit with my mother and husband and I must say we were all satisfied. The customer service here is top notch. You know it's great service when you hear the staff welcome regulars by their names. 5/5 for customer service, definitely attentive, & polite. The ambience has a welcoming , Cali vibe with various California theme posters on their walls. The food was for the most part delicious. I ordered the turkey dinner and overall it was pretty good, my only complaints would be the veggies since they came out soggy & the mashed potatoes were a little dry but overall it was good. My hubby had zero complaints on his breakfast & my mother usually never finishes her plate but she enjoyed her sandwich so much that she devoured it. Overall great customer service, good food, & chill vibe.

A diner couldn't be finer than the Goldenwest Diner... yes we've come here before..... this diner was my "go to" diner in the old days when it was SPIRES... The weekday specials are still posted and the menu is extensive. We came for an early dinner and we were quickly met by our server Deisy. She took our orders with a friendly smile. I ordered the Tuesday Special Ribeye Steak with baked potato and garlic bread. It also comes with a thick tomato based Beef and Barley soup and a fresh green salad with croutons and my choice of blue cheese dressing. Although I wanted chocolate icecream for dessert, Deisy brought vanilla. Not to worry, she brought a refill of rootbeer soda and you guessed it.... It was a tender medium rare feast of a steak for me with a rootbeer float ending. The lovely missus chose the Ribeye Steak but in the sandwich form, and was given a senior citizen discount. The Goldenwest Diner evoked some good memories and we were happy to have our dinner at a still familiar looking place.

Decent diner with friendly service. We were craving a classic diner breakfast and decided to try this spot. It was pretty busy for a weekend with lots of locals coming in. Service was fast and friendly. Their hashbrowns were cooked perfectly - light and crispy. The Mediterranean omelette was just alright. Pretty bland in terms of flavor and needed some salsa to add some spice. We also tried their French toast and it was buttery and soft. Overall, a good option to have in the neighborhood if you're looking for a classic diner experience!

Old school diner. Great customer service. Good prices. Had the beef chicken fry steak with mash potatoes and gravy, toasted zucchini and squash. Came with garlic bread and soup. The place was clean and it has its own private lot.

Was at an event across the street and decided to give this place a try. Upon reaching the parking lot, we were greeted by a man and his little dog, just raving about this diner! We asked what his recommendations were and he couldn't say enough great things about this place. My party and I all ordered different items and we were all pleased. Tasty food, great portions, and fresh ingredients. The staff was very friendly and checked up on us often! They have a lot of old school memorabilia throughout the restaurant.

Meat lovers breakfast three eggs over medium scrambled eggs on the other one and pancakes. I got toast.

It was our first time eating here, and even though they were busy, the short wait was completely worth it. The service was fantastic, friendly, attentive, and efficient despite the morning rush. You could tell the staff genuinely cared about making sure everyone had a great experience. I ordered the fried egg breakfast sandwich, and it was an absolute hit. Perfectly cooked egg, flavorful ingredients, and paired with their seasoned house potatoes, it was everything you want in a hearty breakfast. Simple, satisfying, and done really well. My family loved their meals just as much, and everyone left full and happy. I also tried the French toast, which was equally delicious. Great food, great service and we couldn't have asked for a better way to end our Disneyland trip. I would highly recommend The Omelette House to anyone in the Anaheim area, and we will definitely be back next time we visit!

The tables and chairs are fairly old and well used. Our server had little to no words for us, which was fine. She gave us a kind look. We had ordered a breakfast burritos, eggs, bacon, coffees all around, and an omelette. The food came out a few minutes later. Very quick, but hot and crisp. I wasn't a fan of my latte and their house coffee was a bit watery. I did enjoy my breakfast burrito and bacon. My dad enjoyed his breakfast platter, too. My fiancé's omelette was okay and wasn't fantastic. We finished our meal rather quickly and left. It's nice to have a local breakfast restaurant that has been well loved by the neighboring residents. Definitely will be back again.

However, each subsequent time, the overall vibe of eating here has gotten worse, with my final visit being the last straw. I felt like their cleanliness and service deteriorated over time. This most recent visit (it was several few months ago now), my boyfriend and I were seated by the window. After we put in our orders, we saw this HUGE ASS COCKROACH crawling on the window and basically edging onto our table. We got an employee's attention and let them know about the cockroach, and the employee basically just grabbed a napkin and snatched it, and I got the vibe that he was used to it lmao. Then he walked away. Another server asked us if we wanted to move to a different table and obviously we did. I feel like at that point I should've walked out but we had already put our orders in and I didn't really want to make a scene. It was hard to finish our food tbh just because of what we'd seen. We also paid full price =_= I have never asked to be comped at a restaurant in my entire life, but I felt like they should have offered to cover our drinks or something because we both got coffee. Anyway, after that experience I basically never wanna come here again :/ which is sad because I think the menu is actually great

The menu takes familiar Vietnamese flavors then gets a little creative with them. The space itself has that same trendy Kei Concepts feel too. Cute, lively, but still casual enough to stop in for brunch or coffee. The workers here were super attentive and friendly throughout our visit. Everything on the menu sounded delicious, but we narrowed it down to the Seafood Ceviche, Matcha Cloud Latte, Egg Coffee, plus the Beef Belly Banh Mi Chao. The Seafood Ceviche comes with scallops, shrimp, calamari, mango, coconut, Thai chili, plus shrimp chips. This was such a clean and bright bite with a little tropical flavor from the mango and coconut. There was a nice kick of spice too. They gave a good amount of seafood, so you weren't just eating toppings and sauce. Scoop everything onto one of those crispy shrimp chips... so good. The Matcha Cloud Latte was dangerously easy to drink. I genuinely think I could take down three of these. It's made with oat milk then topped with matcha cheese foam. It was creamy with such a vibrant green matcha flavor. Slightly sweeter than I normally prefer, but I'm sure you could ask for less sweetness. I'm not a huge coffee drinker, but the Egg Coffee surprised me. It's Vietnamese milk coffee topped with egg foam and cocoa powder. That cream was DELICIOUS. Last was the Beef Belly Banh Mi Chao. It comes with beef belly, black peppercorn sauce, sunny eggs, pork roll, pate, tomatoes. We added Chinese sausage since we were sharing, but honestly we didn't even need it. They give you a MOUNTAIN of beef belly. I loved being able to build each bite however I wanted with the bread, beef, egg, pate, plus everything else on the plate. Such a fun dish to share. We shared the Tom Kha Pasta, Bun Ca, Bun Boe Hue Dry Noodles and the Mango Squid Salad to start, and it came out to be about $30 a person. I had to get the Viet Egg Coffee - I typically get this hot but it was such a hot weekend I had to get it iced. I find that Nep Cafe is the only place where Egg Coffee is still good despite being iced and overall they have my favorite egg coffee anywhere, with the perfect match of a creamy eggy thick top and strong coffee underneath. Definitely get this if you're a fan of egg coffee. The mango squid salad was the perfect appetizer, slightly tangy, sweet and spicy, refreshing and the squid was a good texture - not chewy at all. Of the noodles, the Tom Kha was my favorite, super fragrant, creamy but not heavy, and flavorful - followed by the Bun Ca which was clean, comforting and filling, and the Dry Bun Boe Hue, which unfortunately wasn't too memorable. Overall, a great meal with tasty fusion flavors, and definitely good portion sizes for sharing at a fairly reasonable price.
