Came to this establishment due to circumstances in area of my warehouse so fellow workers went for a bite waiting for the all clear. Someone looked up this establishment and we had breakfast. Nice cafe like restaurant Atmosphere with music flowing and decor abstract but stylish Good menu and great selections. Wait staff very friendly. Needed to charge the car early in the morning so I stopped in for breakfast. I really enjoy having chargers next to eateries. The service was very friendly and very quick. I haven't had French toast in forever. It was by far the best I've had in a long time. I always drink unsweetened iced tea, they serve it to you in a giant jar which was awesome. They have a great menu with plenty of delicious looking options. The decor is really nice, clean and relaxed. Good music on the radio/speaker system too. They have a breakfast bar to sit at as well as tables. Reminds me of an old school nice diner, with more modern flare. We had a heavy rainstorm all weekends and I finally decided to taste some new Mexican foods in the 24 fitness plaza today. The space was big, lightings were little dark, the seats were like IHOP interior combined TexMex style. I wanted to sit by the window but the most of seats were badly torn. They have a variety of breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu including sandwiches and burgers. Today is our first trial day to discover a new place near home so my hubby got 3 hard shell shredded beef tacos, I got 2 soft taco plate w rice and beans. The service was a little slow after 2:30 on Sat. Not many customers were around us. I was so excited about the tacos. Many Yelpers commented good reviews about this place. When I had my taco plate, the plate itself was a little small for 2 tacos, rice, beans, and chips so one taco was almost soggy and torn a part which I hate the soggy taco shell. For the beefs, I asked one shredded, another asada carne, the meats was almost fried, Way Too crispy, no tender texture giving the taco flavors. Dissapointing!!! Oh! No!!! My hubby liked his hard shell shredded beef tacos, but I was not happy about my soggy tortillas and almost burned, fried beefs. Why not use the bigger plate so the side beans and rice are not touching taco shells???? Why did they put all together in a small plate?? Where is the tender shredded beef or asada carne instead of fried, burned beefs??? Today it didn't meet my expectation. I wanted to enjoy my tacos... I also see the Xtra 4% credit card charge on the check. If the foods were good enough, I will be OK whatever the torn seats.... I hadn't stopped in to eat at Cobians in a while. I had the famous Russell's Buger with double fried French fries and a cold Corona beer. It was just as good as the last time I ate there. I say they have the best Hamburger. After Russell's closed several years ago I always compared my burger to the one I remembered from years ago. We got there around 2:30, not many customers were there. The service was slow. We chose the tacos to find out really tasty or not as lots of Yelpers posted their reviews about this restaurant. I got 3 hard shell shredded beef tacos, my wife chose 2 soft Taco plate including rice, beans, and chips. My tacos were crispy, good. But my wife complained about her soggy, torn tacos from the beginning. I know well she doesn't like torn tortillas, soggy tacos. I liked her rice and beans in a taco plate. She likes the tender beefs for her tacos. Today asada carne and shredded beef were not, too crispy like fried, burned taste....??? We always go to our fave Mexican restaurant in Long Beach for years. Real authentic, salsa and warm chips served in the beginning, tacos taste awesome, sour cream, guacamole are also served w a taco plate. And happy hour deal everyday....drinks, appetizers. We expect that kind of great service, quality, and ambiance. My wife hates the torn seats in the dining area. She found lots of seats were badly torn by the window. No ambiance, no quality.... I've had this place saved for a long time.... I wish we tried it sooner. We went late morning on a Sunday. They brought us both the breakfast and lunch menus. The breakfast looked really yummy but we both opted for lunch. The food was great! The sandwhich was delicious and my husband loved the Chilaquiles. The onion rings were really good as was the ranch that they brought to dip in. The guy waiting on us was cool and friendly. And my husband said he liked the set up of the restaurant. My wife and I went to Cobian's for breakfast and lunch today. I used to go to the old Russells dinners. They used to have a number of the Russell's restaurants in Long Beach ,Lakewood, and Seal Beach, but are now all closed. Only the original diner in in old Pasadena is still there and was established in 1930 They had one of my most favorite hamburgers ever. I ordered there at Cobian's, their famous hamburger which is identical to the one I used to get at Russells. I am a creature of habit and I always went for the hamburger and hashbrowns . The hashbrowns and hamburger were delicious. My wife had minced ham and scrambled eggs with cheese. Every thing was cooked perfectly. The menu has some great food choices that we want to try.The service is amazing. I highly recommend you try Cobian's, we will definitely be back read more

Stopped in why charging my Tesla at the superchargers in the same parking lot. Had a chance to meet Tony and Natalie and enjoy some of the best carnitas street tacos I've had in a while. The spot is known for its burgers, but I go crazy for tacos. There is a very small bar (four seats), a casual, clean, comfortable vibe and cold beers. I was there at 3pm, so can't speak to the service during traditional meal times, I can say the salsa is fantastic the food was fresh and flavorful and Tony takes pride in and represents his restaurant extremely well. This venue is located in a shopping center. Although a little tucked away, there is ample parking. Walking in you immediately get that "you are family" vibe. Once seated (we were a party of 5) we were quickly equipped with drinks. Once we ordered our food was very timely and piping hot! I was the only one new to this spot, and I had the breakfast skillet. Amazing hashbrowns loaded with carne asada, and two scrambled eggs. I ate beyond my stuffed point lol. I can not wait to go again and try more off the menu! The Cobian crew is now Familia! read more

After seeing all of the positive reviews for this place and meaning to stop by for quite some time, I thought today would be the day where I give it a shot. Me and my son died in at around 4 PM on a day that was not that hot outside, but the first thing I noticed was how warm the restaurant was inside. The waitress was friendly and made some suggestions as we had not been there before she raved about the burgers and my son was excited to try one, but I made pretty good burgers at home so kinda hard to compete sometimes I opted for something a little healthier upon her recommendation and figured oh let's see how it goes Now I honestly don't know what all the hype is about this place you ever been forced to eat at a hospital because he knew somebody that was there or in the emergency room or staying and you were starving? This is what this tasted like to me Straight hospital food. Don't make a claim that your cheeseburger is the best in the neighborhood if your cheeseburger clearly is nowhere near the best cheeseburger in the neighborhood trust me. The chicken that I got was a breast that was cut in half so it was super thin with absolutely no flavor, the veggies were definitely frozen as they were mushy with no texture disappointing to say the least. I also had a small bowl of chili that came with the meal and this thing was like a straight salt bomb. Tried to get some water to quench my thirst, but the waitress only came back one time after i finished eating, so never got that water refill. This place wasn't even mid it was low, felt like I was eating in an old folks home with no AC running and heat cranking from outside plus the food was made for those 80 and over no insult to those that are 80 and over by the way!! I went with three friends to try out this restaurant based on the Yelp reviews. The waitress patiently answered our questions before we ordered. I had the Frisco Burger with everything, onion rings, and an horchata fresca (no free refills), The portion size of the burger was generous. The onion rings appeared to have been frozen. The beverage, albeit expensive,was the best "dish" of the meal. We particularly liked that we could hear each other talk and did not feel rushed. The "bait and switch" pricing was a dissatisfier. When I ask why are the prices higher on the check versus what is on the menu, I was told the menu prices are cash prices. The prices on the check were credit card prices, which are 4% higher. No explanation was given up until then. This is reason enough to put this Cobian's on the back burner. read more

This place is great everything from the food to the service. Our waitress noticed our youngest looking at the Lego creations on their shelf, she brought over a Lego creation for him to play with and told him if he wanted to see any up close she would bring it over. Our table ordered burgers and Mexican food and everything was delicious. Rolled taquitos, tacos, definitely hit the spot. We also loved their onion rings everyone who ordered burgers ordered onion rings and we also ordered a basket of onion rings they were hot, fresh and their ranch was so good. We also loved their crinkle French fries. This place had a cute diner feel with the decor and we will definitely be back next time we are in town. Located near the Los Alamitos race track and with convenient parking, this was an easy location to find and didn't require a long wait on a Sunday. I had the Mexican omelet with rice & beans, an extra side of biscuits & gravy, and a cup of regular coffee. We ate at the booth by the window where we could see where our car was parked and across from the Poki Doki. I also politely asked for an iced coffee to go at no extra charge. This is a family friendly establishment and don't be surprised if you see Army men in uniform, great to know that it is a safe and clean place to enjoy a good meal in the city of Cypress/Los Alamitos! read more

The Al Pastor Burrito was pretty good, and it's huge for the $13 price tag! Draft beers are $6.50 and their canned beers are $5.50. They have some craft beers like Golden Road Mango Cart and a couple hazy IPAs on draft! A couple TVs, good service and a homey vibe! read more

I went on a Thursday evening with my mother for evening rations. I ordered the Double Cheeseburger special that included French Fries and soda of choice. I do wish that they had Pepsi but I settled for Dr. Pepper. I also had "wooder". Burger and fries were both good. Service was good. Men's washroom was clean and had paper towels... good. I order the same thing each time I come here. This is not a fancy restaurant but this establishment serves me well when I want a good cheeseburger and fries. I can't really find any fault in this establishment so I a giving it a rare top score. If I was to assign a letter grade as is done in school, this establishment would get an A. read more

Did my Yelp homework and opted for the Frisco Burger. First off, it wasn't on cheese toast like the ones I saw pictured on Yelp, so a bit disappointed, but didn't complain. Only ate half, so I boxed up the other half for lunch the next day. Note to self: Super greasy the following day and not edible. We shared the strawberry cheesecake sundae, which was just meh to me.
