Before reading this review, please realize that I am an Elite Yelper with over 600 reviews…read more Please believe what I say. Now, onto Delacy Ford. I've had a myriad of problems with my vehicle -all of which were not correctly rectified by the service department. From Control arms to sensors they never knew what they were doing. They ordered things incorrectly, parts got lost, incorrect parts ordered, delay, delay, delay, after delay. Glenroy in the service department really doesn't understand what's going on. I spoke with the owner Peter Delacy many times and though he tried his best -his dealership is run by incompetence. When I finally got my car back, they did not charge me, which was wonderful. However, not three hours after I drove off the lot, my AC condenser broke. Coincidence - I think not. The AC condenser was not the problem. I brought the car in for. I took it to my AC guy- he said that it looked like my AC condenser was tampered with. Now I don't know whether the service department here at this dealership did that- because they ate so much money fixing my vehicle?? You know I can't tell. But I will never set foot in that dealership again and I don't think you should either. Be aware, and BEWARE.

Update to Delacy unable to fix vehicle after 5 weeks…read more Dropped vehicle off at Towne Ford on 9/15 & received a call on 9/16 stating vehicle was fixed. Pathetic that Delacy is unable to service vehicles. Maybe Lynn & her staff should go back to Automotive 101

Buyer Beware - My Sister's Experience at Transit Town (Elma)…read more Sharing this so others don't go through the same thing. My 21-year-old sister had her car towed there because it wouldn't shut off and was stuck in park. After sitting there for a WEEK, they told her it needed a battery... and charged her $550. Problem is--that wasn't the issue. When they were questioned about it, the dealer hung up on my dad twice. They then said it needed more diagnostics (more $$$) and wouldn't release the car unless she paid. No return call from management either. We had it towed to another mechanic... and within ONE MINUTE they found the real problem: A bottle cap stuck in the transmission. Fixed immediately. No charge. There are honest mechanics out there--but this was not one of them. Just a heads up so no one else gets burned.

DO NOT SERVICE YOUR VEHICLE HERE!! I brought in my car to have an oil change and take care of a…read morerecall light. They corrected the recall and called me back to pick up the vehicle. Upon my arrival, they realize that they didn't do the oil change. I had to leave the vehicle overnight and picking it up in the morning an hour late and my oil was finally changed. Whoever did my oil change forgot to put a gasket in and 30 mins into driving, I get a low oil pressure on my dashboard with a check engine light. Turns out my oil level was completely depleted, and it spilled all over my engine bay and everything else causing my car to smell like oil inside. This could've completely destroyed my engine have I driven for another 15 to 20 minutes. I was close to a shop in Williamsville which corrected the issue and told me to NEVER take it to them again as he has never seen this level of unprofessionalism, incompetency and negligence. I called the dealership twice since then to ask for a refund and no one's returned my calls. It's a shame for such a big company to be so unorganized and show disregard to their customers. I would put zero stars if I could.

My downstairs neighbor had an issue with a spark plug on his 2010 Chevy Silverado 1500…read more He had the old plug out but could not get the new one in. Keep in mind it's been mid 20's and windy all day making it harder. Just could not get the plug lined up and threaded properly. It's hard to see the plug hole due to the low location and lack of a direct eye line. When I got home I tried for 20 minutes but also could not get it lined up and started. Enter Pat and Jack Pat: the plugs doesn't go in perpendicular on that engine it's a slightly canted towards the firewall. Jack: try reverse until you feel a slight click as it seats then reverse socket wrench and tighten it down. Maybe this is all common knowledge for auto buffs but I didn't know and also I watched several YouTube videos which were useless. With these two tips I got it in the first attempt as soon as we got back home. I've always had great experiences at auto zone stores. To top it off they give a 10% veteran discount. Much appreciated all around guys. I drove him to a competitor auto parts store to ask for tips getting the new plug in without cross threading. No help. Stopped into this autozone and asked the same questions.
