The new Cooper tire with the hubcap reattached. Thanks Reid's!!!
    Sarah D.

I needed a new tire after recently hitting a cart corral at my second job. A coworker from my office job suggested Reid's tires. They're on Seneca Street in Elma, NY. I called and asked for Jason. He said to stop by anytime. I came here on Friday, three days ago. They had a great tire for me that was installed quickly and efficiently. They were able to put the hubcap back onto the tire too, which I really appreciated. Jason's employees were kind, quick, and efficient. He rang me up quickly and I was on my way in no time at all. The tire was installed correctly and I feel much safer with it on there. I was in and out in no time at all. They have a small waiting area with a tv and hot coffee. If I need new tires, or an alignment, I wouldn't hesitate to come here.

Great people! I went to three other shops and they could balance my tires correctly, but Reid's did the job right.

I even read a review…read morethat said, "any bad reviews are coming from people that don't know what they are talking about". Well, with my experience, and multiple engineers in my family that work for Chrysler and gm, i can confidently say they did a bad job. first, they don't do alignments there. And they dont tell you that until you go pick up your vehicle. Jim knew I traveled an hour there to get work done by him. I picked my truck up and had to drive it for an hour unaligned on brand new tires, because of the labor shortage I was not able to get an alignment for over a week. I use my truck for work and was left with out it for a week. So that's less money coming In for me because Jim neglected to even mention an alignment. ( I would've made an appointment to get one done on the same day the truck was done had I known they don't do them) second, There were two skid plates left loose. This in of itself was not an issue. Sure, I can tighten a few bolts. But it made me wonder what else they didn't tighten so I checked the torque specs Recommended by the manufacturer (bds) and not a single bolt was torqued to manufacturer specifications. I asked them about it and he said "oh no one actually does that, we just tighten them with the impact". so if you are looking for a 75% completed job. This is the place to go.

They eiher forgot, too lazy, or didn't have the know how to cut the tie rods so the alignment off 1.66 degrees. It should be in-between -0.10 to 0.30degrees total toe. The left toe was .95 and right .71. This caused my front right tire to wear incredibly cast on the inside. Completely smooth while the outside of tire had still an inch of tread. Also, it took them 3 days. A day and half of it was taking sensors off old wheels and installing them on new ones. So had someone else fix their mistake and had to buy a new set of 35's. Their mistake caused my tires to wear out 40miles too early. Thanks for the the unsatisfactory work.

I've been debating about whether I would post a scathing review because I try to only highlight good experiences and let the bad go, but.. Since they keep reminding me everytime I get another spam email from their marketing partners, with the from email being "Scruggs -no reply" I'm pissed and now I'm going to tell what happened, as a warning to unsuspecting future would-be victims of their VERY SCAMMY OPERATION! I walked in to get my inspection immediately before starting a 13+hr trip south, on February 10th at 3pm. Please note, my car is 8 yrs old but in perfect shape, new tires, new brakes all the way around, everything in perfect working order. I said, "Hi, can you tell me what you charge for an inspection?" The guy says (I'm sorry I don't remember his name but tall guy, dark hair. They have 3 stations where they wait in unison to pounce on people), "How old is your car?" My scam-dar detector flag went up red. I said, "It's a 2015." He said, "Perfect, we happen to be running a one day special today, inspections are just ($0.23) twenty three cents.". I said, "I'm leaving immediately from here on a long trip and need to get on the road soon." He said, "No problem, we have no wait!" and handed him my keys and waited. While I did, I listened. A nursing student's dad who came in to complain about them quoting $268, and charging his daughter's card over $900, without first telling her the price had jumped so much from the quote. He was seething when he left, but no refund, no apology. That was one of two gouging events I heard of, while waiting. My (friendly) Aussiedoodle service dog lunged at the guy who quoted me $0.23.. I've never seen him do that to anyone before, so I knew something was very off with this outfit. After an hour, a young (20ish) man tells me he has good news and bad news. Turns out my car wouldn't pass inspection due to the peddle pressure being 2% less than NYS requires to pass a vehicle's safety inspection criteria; they would need to run a diagnostic to see what the problem was. $186. Me: "Nope. No diagnostic. My brakes are brand new, there's plenty of peddle. I've driven it for two weeks since the brakes were replaced and the brakes work perfectly. I want you to put my car back together the way you found it. Get it off that lift now. Put my $0.23 sticker on it. And process my payment for same." On queue, this 20yr old blonde jumps out from behind the doorway. "Ma'am, you don't understand, my manager is gonna have to take your car for a 20 minute drive, after the diagnostic to see what the problem is and then we can determine what we need to do to fix it.". I took a deep breathe, and said to her, "No, you don't understand. I came in here for an inspection not a scam. My brakes are perfect. Put my car back together get it off that lift put the sticker on it and I will pay you the 23 cents I agreed to when I walked in here." "Ma'am I don't think you understand how it works. We can't actually put a sticker back on your car. Iit doesn't pass inspection." To which I responded, "No diagnostic! Get my f****** car off that lift now and leave my sticker intact if you're not putting a new one on." She went in the back, came back in a about 5 minutes and said, "Good news ma'am, my manager said he can pass the inspection." I said, "Fabulous." I have listened to a rattle since. Steer clear of these bastards. They sold my email address about a hundred times already, just got one from their partner CarFax. NYS state inspection requirement is just a scam to allow repair facilities like SCRUGGS AUTOMOTIVE to screw people for diagnostic tests and work that does not need to be done. In South Carolina there is no such inspection requirement and there are also no broken down cars all over the road. NYS INSPECTION REQUIREMENT is fee income and an opportunity for scams. SCRUGGS- SCAM ARTISTS! BEWARE. BEWARE!!!

Annoying but I understand they're busy at the end of the day when folks get out of work to take their car there. After leaving and driving all of 5 miles (and picking up my mom to go to a concert), my rear driver tire was flat. Pulled over and changed the tire. Already I planned on returning the next morning for a refund or some sort of compensation. At this point it was too late to go to the concert (also due to the fact that the appointment took over 2hrs) so we decide to go get dinner in east aurora. Hesitantly, I get on the 400 and after about 30 seconds of driving on the thruway, second flat tire, this time it was my rear passenger tire. Called roadside assistance and waited 2hrs on the side of the 400 at night in December. When roadside arrived, I realized my front passenger tire was also flat. Roadside took us back to the Union rd Dunn Tire location. Thank god the first tire went on a 30mph road and the second and third tires went while speeding up, not when I was at full speed. If I had been well on the thruway doing 70 and both tires went at once? Myself and my mother could have been seriously hurt or worse. The tires, upon closer inspection, were not attached to the wheels properly so when I turned my vehicle they started to slip off. Unbelievable negligence. I went in there the next morning and had the manager look at my car. He took it in and redid all of the tires as well as replaced the two rear tires. His explanation was that the valve stems were not replaced properly, which frankly I think is bullshit and I guess a better sounding excuse than "yeah my employee didn't properly install tires at a shop called dunn TIRE". He was apologetic and offered a full refund. I don't remember his name but he was good. Whoever worked on my vehicle should never touch one again, and after escalating this with a DM via email, I eventually stopped hearing back. I can't stress enough how much worse this could have been. Maybe this place shouldn't hire a bunch of 20 something year olds that skipped steps in their job bc they wanted to leave on time on a Friday night. Do not go to this location. It was my first time after only going to the McKinley pkwy location prior. Absolutely do not let those people do anything to your car.
