    Salmon sushi burrito
    Melissa L.

I was so excited to finally check out Howdy's, which opened its newest location in Agoura Hills this spring, that I came on here to tell you all about them! I'd already known about this spot for some time as they have a famous Malibu location but now with them being even closer, I saw it was a sign for me to finally stop in. Howdy's has a diverse menu that can satisfy even the pickiest eaters. From hearty breakfast dishes and lighter lunch options to a full coffee bar, there's truly something for everyone. I stopped by for lunch and enjoyed a beautiful meal on their covered outdoor patio. The menu is large and lots to choose from, so I asked the staff for help and for some suggestions. To start I ordered their fresh pressed watermelon agua fresca which was incredibly refreshing and perfect for the warmer weather. Just to note - it wasn't sweetened or sugary. So don't think of it as a traditional agua frescas like you get at some taco stands, this was pressed and just sweet naturally from the watermelon, much healthier but just worth noting. For food I tried the fried fish taco and it was absolutely delicious!! 10/10. The fish was fresh, the batter was perfectly crispy, and the slaw and pico added just the right amount of brightness. No frills but just a really solid fish taco that I'd 100% get again. Another star of the meal though was the loaded salmon sushi burrito. This thing is a meal all on its own. It was generously packed with fresh salmon, incredibly filling, and paired perfectly with their two dipping sauces. Definitely a fun menu item to grab here. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and happy to answer all of my menu questions. While you order at the counter, they bring the food directly to your table, giving the experience a casual feel while still offering a bit of that full service support. Not fine dining but causal good service. I'd say the price point is probably about $30 a person depending what you get. Not bad for this side of town. Great patio, friendly hospitality, and delicious food. If you haven't visited Howdy's newest location yet, it's definitely worth checking out.

Beautiful Mexican and Japanese fusion restaurant in Agoura Hills. Easy to find next to Trader Joe's. The food is extra fresh. I had the burger and fries. Very juicy and tasty burger. My wife had the pork ramen. It looked very good. Plenty of parking. Service was quick and extra friendly.

Made a little family very happy with the Lobster burrito, yellow tail burrito, steak nachos and Kaia ramen. Everything was "yummmy!"

Everything we've tried on the menu has been absolutely delicious! The owners and staff are very friendly, professional and have provided fantastic service. Makayla is awesome and was so gracious and kind while helping clean up our toddlers water spill. This is a new local favorite. They literally have something for everyone. We cannot wait for the sushi bar, coming soon. :)

Did take out today from Howdy's. Enjoyed the variety and quality of food offering here. Mixing up Mexican, American and Japanese food feels very SoCal. Really enjoyed the spicy tuna burrito and beef and chicken high protein burrito. The Chino Latino salad could have used more veggies. Price is fair for what you get here. Food prepped under 20 mins for pickup. Nice new and clean restaurant.

I give this place 5/ 5 I tried the Malibu location before and wasn't expecting for new location. To be the same. I was wrong. Hospitality 5/5. Inside is kept clean and no smell 5/5. The ramen was seasoned perfectly and evenly. It has a small kick of spice but it was worth it. The noodles, meat and egg were cooked great. Not much over or under cook. The chef is amazing. I met one f the partners for this location and offered me a watermelon drink to try. He was amazing! The server was just as amazing. No issues with the server parking. This place needs more audience

    Huevos Verdes

Stopped in on a Sunday for a late breakfast. Liked the variety of breakfast and lunch options available on the menu. You order at the counter. I ordered the Huevos Verdes - so so flavorful! My husband enjoyed the orange chicken. Portion sizes were just right. While its more of a fast casual spot, I appreciated that a staffer stopped by our table mid-meal to ensure we had what we needed and even offered some additional salsa to compliment the Huevos Verdes. Not a ton of seating inside, but like that there's additional seating on the large bright patio. Parking can be a little tricky with Trader Joe's next door. Nice addition to Agoura, will definitely be back.

Came back to get a high protein steak burrito and coffee..tasted just as good as the first time and I got to hang out for a bit before heading to my next event on this Sunday afternoon. Friendly staff and chill vibes.

I have been to the new Agoura Hills location a couple of times now and each experience has been wonderful! The staff are all very kind and extremely helpful, often helping me decide which delicious option I want to order (difficult task because it all looks so good). This last time I went, I had the Pepperdine burrito with steak and smothered with delicious toppings. It was one of the best burritos I have ever had in my life. My husband had a sushi burrito and he loved it. The Malibu nachos are also incredible! The restaurant itself is inviting and enjoyable. There's lots of natural light which makes the space warm and inviting. Looking forward to trying Howdy's for brunch soon!

Are you looking for a great breakfast restaurant that has its own barista making phenomenal coffees (try the Spanish latte!), or jonesing for some superb breakfast tacos or breakfast burritos boasting succulent, perfectly cooked bacon, ripe and generous portions of avocado, exceedingly well balanced preparations with perfectly cooked eggs and nothing overwhelmed by the taste of onions? Or maybe you want a fantastic sushi burrito, or sushi bowl of yellowtail, spicy tuna, tempura shrimp or lobster? Well, you're in luck then, because a wonderful new restaurant has opened in Agoura on Canwood Street next to Trader Joe's in the old Jinky's location. It's called Howdy's and my guess is it will be your new go-to for all of these and more. In fact, you may already have visited Howdy's in Malibu and been anxiously awaiting the opening of this new location. With delectable wild caught fish, excellent homemade salsas and delicious homemade chips as well as superb Mexican breakfast offerings, Howdy's has so much to recommend it! Prices are very reasonable, there are comfy chocolate and turquoise banquettes and tables near the fireplace that welcome you to linger over one of their excellent coffees and a yummy meal. There's a small side patio and a larger front patio, as well as plenty of seating inside and at the bar. Parking in the front and the back of the restaurant makes for a super easy in and out. We sampled the breakfast tacos, which can also be made as a burrito, and they had a perfect blend of scrambled eggs- neither too wet nor dried out- a generous amount of avocado served with two different salsas and crisp, fragrant truly wonderful bacon, beautifully cooked, topped off by not at all greasy french fries. We very much enjoyed the yellowtail sushi burrito and really superb Chilaquiles as well. Oatmilk cappuccino was spot on, as was the Spanish latte and the ambience was very relaxed and welcoming. The menu is expanding as we speak with French toast, waffles, and more Asian offerings yet to come, and the hours will be expanding as well. We will definitely be regulars and believe you will be as well. Very excited to have this wonderful addition to our community!

First time here , definitely won't be last. Quick efficient service . Had the double steak protein burrito with avocado . You gotta have the habanero sauce to go with it as well. When they say double steak , they mean it . Pretty chill vibe and has a side coffee kart as well, good mix menu and variety of things.

And in a way, that's exactly what El Sancho Cantina is: an escape. A secret. A little taste of something else. Whether you slide in for lunch, happy hour, or dinner, El Sancho is where you come to cheat on your routine. Tucked into Thousand Oaks, it's a getaway hidden in plain sight. Sit at the bar, let the cool breeze drift through, and allow the Spanish ballads to work their magic. For a moment, you'll forget where you are--and believe you've wandered into a dreamy cantina somewhere deep in Mexico. Start with the "El Viejo"--their riff on an Old Fashioned. Let the applewood smoke swirl above the glass as you lean in. The aroma hits first, then the deep flavors of añejo tequila and Mexican whiskey settle in with smooth confidence. Sip slow. This isn't a race--it's a seduction. If you're looking for something a little lighter--a healthy balance between indulgence and intention--try the two taco plate with the green salad substitution. I went for one Potato taco, one Shredded Chicken taco, and swapped out the rice and beans for a salad of mixed greens and cucumber, dressed with balsamic vinaigrette and a squeeze of fresh lime. The flavors were bright, clean, and satisfying. I walked away full--but not heavy. If I was meeting my Sancha after, I could've easily gone for a stroll. Maybe even dessert. But don't let me lead you down the wrong path--the tacos and cocktails are already all the temptation you need. And if that post-lunch lull starts to creep in, fight back with the "El Cafecito"--a soulful wake-up call of Licor 43, Kahlúa, cold brew coffee, and chocolate bitters. My personal pick over an espresso martini--bold, smooth, and unapologetically delicious. So yes, you might be cheating on SoCal for an hour with Mexico vibes, but El Sancho doesn't judge. In fact, it invites you back--with open arms, a strong pour, and just the right amount of trouble.
