Undoubtedly the worst food and house margarita we have ever encountered. The service was very nice and attentive. We ordered the house margarita and it was made with a syrup of some kind that was so sweet we had to ask if it was mistakenly mad as strawberry margarita. It wasn't. Undrinkable. The chips were made an unidentifiable oil that left a taste in your mouth. The vegetables in the Fajitas were cooked in the same oil that ruined their taste The chicken in the granitas was the only thing not cooked in this oil and therefore edible. We have lived in the area for years and the previous owners of this location also had underwhelming food. Honestly this was the worst margarita and food we have been served for several years. read more

Just the facts.... We ordered steak and shrimp fajitas for two. I am used to seeing a sizzling plate but this was not the case. Meat and veggies were lukewarm. Veggies were hot and tasty though. Shrimp was previously frozen and limp. ($39.00) for four shrimp. Side plate had rice (cold) and bean (ok) . A little bit of lettuce and sour cream with no visible guacamole as advertised. They give you three tortillas and charge $4.00 for three more? Chips and salsa were good. For a first impression, I think we will go to a different restaurant next time. read more

New Mexican Restaurant in Oak Park, CA! My daughter and me were so excited to hear about Noritas Bar and Grill, we decided to give it a try. Atmosphere is very relaxing, casual dress, family friendly, pet friendly and quaint. I loved the fact that we had the option dine inside the bar area or outside patio. We opted for patio dining. It's a breath of fresh air. Nice view of hills. Food and drinks are delicious, ambience is very welcoming! We had the pleasure of meeting owner. The menu has a wide variety of delicious meals and serves up delicious drinks. So many meals to choose from! So we asked our waiter, Fernando, what his favorites were. He made very good recommendations. You get your monies worth and then some here! I had left overs for my lunch next day. Everything about this place hit the high marks. It's a smaller restaurant in a strip mall, but once you're inside it feels like a comfy, we'll designed, Mexican restaurant and cantina. Service was outstanding, prompt and thoughtful. Our server was personable and it always seemed that he knew what we wanted before we said it. The food..... Everything was delicious. From the chips and salsa to start the experience, the margaritas perfectly blended and made exactly how we asked. For food, I ordered the chicken and steak fajita combo and I was so impressed. The steak was very tender and flavorful, chicken seasoned well and not dry and the vegetables were al dente perfect. If there was one thing that could be improved would be the tortillas. I don't know what happened to this local eatery in the last few months, but it seems to be going downhill fast. I sadly just had my second terrible dinner there and unless they hire a new chef who takes pride in what's coming out of the kitchen (which might require investing in higher quality ingredients), I'll never be back. Like others have said, unedible thin tortilla chips and average salsa and guacamole. A disgusting shrimp fajita dish a few weeks ago and tonight, the happy hour taco trio I wouldn't feed to my dog. Chewy, tough, gristly, flavorless. Please get it together, guys, because I really love the friendly staff and the cocktails. And the outdoor patio is really sweet. But there is no excuse to serve below average Mexican food here in Southern California. If you wanna try the real thing and taste the difference between great and lousy, try the new Blue Agave down on Kanan. Really really delicious. read more

A Hidden Gem You Need to Try! I don't say this lightly.. this is hands down my new favorite Mexican restaurant! The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and full of vibrant energy, cozy and festive. A casual vibe, perfect for families! My kids love sitting outside and playing cornhole while we wait for our food. The food is authentic and everything tasted fresh. The margaritas were also made with fresh ingredients and oh so yummy!! The service was just as excellent! Friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. Had lunch there today. Ordered chicken mole and quesadillas. Both were excellent and the pricing was very reasonable for the size of the plates and the quality of the food. The mole was fragrant, sweet and tangy, just as it is supposed to be. Chicken was tender, moist and mouthwatering. Service was on point, friendly and polite. This is a neighborhood mexican spot with great chips, salsa and a full bar with tv's for sports. Outdoor patio for warm evenings looks very inviting I can see myself coming here for some tacos, a margarita (or two) and hanging out watching a game on t.v. Cinco De Mayo at Nitotas. Last minute decided to try out the new ownership, newly opened local Mexican restaurant Bar and Grill. Being an avid supporter of local businesses in the community... We were Sadly disappointed. Sat at the Bar had great service. (2) new bartenders and they were amazing. Unfortunately, the food was less than acceptable. Returned our chicken quesadilla, appetizer, Chicken was bits not breast and dripping in grease. We could not eat it and returned it to the waiter. Then ordered the beef tacos combo special, and the meat tasted microwaved, also ordered chili relleno. It was soggy and greasy as well. Have to say not pleased at all with the food, maybe due to being busy but service and food are a Resturant's bread and butter. Trying to be nice, we might try again. Not sure. Friendly lunch bar scene. We started with margaritas, Mexican lager and a shot of their house reposado. I had the whole fried fish which came with pickled red onions, cucumbers and fresh sliced tomatoes, rice and beans. We also shared grilled chicken enchiladas suizas. I was excited to see a new restaurant had moved into Oak Park. The food and service were excellent. I dined in with my mom on the third day they were open.The salsa was delicious and fresh. I loved the menu and the margaritas were refreshing. It's reasonably priced. By the time we finished our meal around 7:30 the place was packed. Arguably the worst Mexican restaurant meal that we have ever had. My girlfriend and I went there on a Taco Tuesday. The pre-meal taco chips and salsa were marginal. The chips were not really crisp and the salsa had little flavor. We both ordered steak and chicken tacos. The steak of the steak tacos was tough and largely inedible cartilage. You took a bite, chewed it, and then spit out the gristle. My girlfriend has a food allergy. So before ordering a chicken taco she asked the waiter how the chicken was prepared. He said that Noritas did not use a certain ingredient. This was incorrect. When her chicken taco arrived she took one bite and started having an allergic reaction. Weirdly for a Mexican restaurant both the chicken and the steak tacos were basically tasteless. Very sad. I have read the positive reviews of Noritas. Did these patrons really eat at the same restaurant? Postscript (5/30/2025): In fairness I have an additional data point on Noritas. Yesterday I spoke with a neighbor about Noritas. She went there last week and also ordered tacos. She felt her meal was very good. Perhaps things have improved. Perhaps on my visit something was wrong. read more

My new favorite Mexican restaurant! Waiters are so attentive, everything we ordered tasted great and servings were huge. I can't believe I got two 8 oz pork chops entree with soup and dessert included for only $28. The included dessert is enough for 4. Margaritas tasted grear too. I'll be back soon with a full-fledged review.... We're back! Norita's ambience and decor *hasn't* changed very much from its predecessor, Margarita's. We visited around 2 p.m. when there were just a handful of diners, so we pretty much had the place to,ourselves. Service was a little slow because the host was busy packing a to-go order and he was the only one manning the floor.Once seated, he was very attentive to our table throughout the meal. The full menu offered a host of delicious-looking meals and, on the whole, did not disappoint. Even though I ordered my favorite meal, sizzling steak fajitas (which was very tasty!), I was very tempted to order more off the appetizer menu. (More to come) read more

Went to try Noritas for the first time since they opened. We sat on the back patio that was nice. The service was excellent they were always sure chips and drinks were full. We started with some margaritas that were excellent and followed up with dinner. One chicken mole, two combo plates. The food was good and would definitely go back again. The service was excellent, refilling our water and making sure we were happy. The portion size was large and the food was very tasty. The drinks were delicious we will be back. We have been to Noritas several times and the food and service were great. We have tried the shrimp fajitas, hamburger & fries, tacos, and burritos, all were excellent. They have a nice, varied menu. One note, the red sauce on the burrito was too spicy for my taste, so ask for mild. They have a nice happy hour and the beer is ice cold. Just wanted to share that we have now gone three times to the brand new Mexican restaurant at the corner of Kanan and Lindero Canyon called Norita's in the shopping center where Beau Image is, and it's absolutely wonderful. It's charmingly decorated, offers attentive and kind service. Really excellent margaritas... definitely try the coconut. They make their own coconut mix for that one by the way... and the food-we've had different things each time- and everything we've had has been wonderful. Shrimp fanitas were fantastic! Please go and and enjoy this lovely new restaurant in Westlake. Oh! And Monday night is $8 margs!!! read more

All I'm going to say about this place is - It could be good. They need to update the decor. May be move the bar into the private room , the ambience is just another bar fly hangout in the middle of the dinner space. Families like to have a nice quiet meal and not have to listen to a television set. Also they desperately need a real chef that knows how to make and create authentic Mexican cuisine . Who ever was cooking had No Clue on how to cook , the spices were way off . I hade 2 tacos , el pastor , I don't know what they served me but it was not Pastor , also had a Chorizo taco , the Charizo was black and burned. I did see a gentleman with white hair cooking back there and he was not Mexican . That guy needs to get out of the kitchen , or take dome cooking lessons . You're way off on taste. I'm a chef and like I said it could be a really nice place if you adjust these things , especially the cooking. read more
