Love this place!! You know it's good when there are many regulars who are friends with the nail techs. They know how to do everything when it comes to nail design/art with acrylics! The pedicures are also the best I've had, even the basic comes with hot stones and all of them know how to massage so well! (Plus nice massage chairs) I will become a regular now :) read more

I normally come here once to twice a month for my classic full set/pedicure routine. I call ahead to set my appointment normally because you never know how busy they can be. I always ask for Ryan to do my sets, and he kills them every single time! All of the other employees are very nice and sweet and keep to themselves unless you're a frequent regular. They are almost always a very quiet salon with soothing music except for the weekends or holidays when they can get super busy. I almost exclusively get black/gothic nails but I assure you they have a vast multitude of colors and shades to choose from. I highly recommend coming here if you're in the Arden area! read more

I should lead with-I didn't end up receiving a service here. The first two things I noticed when I walked in, it was very warm and stuffy. No air. Door closed. And the smell. It wasn't the usual chemical smells from acrylic. It just smelled musky to me. The equipment was dingy and chipping. Overall it was just an icky place. I ended up walking out. read more

I went here for a pedicure and the tech didn't know what he was doing. He forgot a lot of steps and I had to remind him. When I spoke with the manager he didn't do anything and still charged me full price. This was my second time here. So unprofessional. read more

Love this nail place!! They have a super easy modern check in! You should definitely make an appointment as they're so good they get booked up. I love seeing Ryan for my nails. He does the best nails I have ever had in my life. He was referred to me by a friend and there are at least five in our friend group who go to see. We also all get our pedicures by Kelly or Hannah. They're both so sweet and talented. Location- super easy parking. Next to a tea place if you want to grab a drink or delicious food at cafe Europa. Please if you take my advice and go get the best nails of your life... be sure to TIP these hard working people who make you feel beautiful. read more

Howe'bout Nails Salon is great! I've been getting my nails done with Emma for years! She cleans/shapes my nails well and is very detailed with designs. She never fails to bring my Pinterest nail inspo to life! I've also gotten my gel pedicures done with Kim and she's very kind and gentle. My toes always look great! Used to love this place but the last couple times I've been here have not been pleasant. It feels like they're always rushing and way too rough. You go to get a pedicure/manicure to relax for an hour or so and enjoy your experience not to sit at a chair and not able to use the massage setting because they're rushing to get you out and want to do multiple things at once. Absolutely hate when one of the ladies (short hair) does my nails because she's so damn rough and always rushing to get you out. read more

Love this little salon. All of the staff are very friendly and professional. The salon is also kept clean and they have a rewards program which is a nice incentive. I get my nails done by Emma and sometimes my pedicures too. She really pays attention to detail and if you come in with a photo of what you'd like she can make it happen. I've been going to Emma for years and highly recommend her. I have referred two of my friends in the last year to her and they haven't been disappointed. Emma pays attention to detail, is patient and really takes the time to replicate a design inspo I bring in. I originally was doing gel manicure but recently switched to dip as I feel it lasts longer on my nails (3 weeks +). I work in healthcare and am constantly washing my hands and the dip seems to be the best. This salon is always packed but I never have an issue getting an appointment. The price is reasonable. I usually pay $55 for dip+chrome and $10 for a toe nail polish change. There is a parking lot with space. They also have a reward system with points for every time you check in. If you get a certain amount of points you can redeem for $ off. read more

I am updating my review because, after my cousin and I got our nails done here again after my last experience, we started noticing some problems with this current application. We both had two people work on our nails rather than just one person all the way through our session. Which honestly is not a big deal, but still odd. The biggest problem we struggled with is the quality of product applied to our acrylic nails and how they felt very flimsy and not properly applied. We both had broken nails after barely 2 weeks, which has never been a problem before. They didn't simply chip or crack...but came completely off. I mean, overall take this review with a grain of salt, because it had been two weeks. ...but for them to both break... I don't know. But either way, I'm reducing my stars. read more

Came here November of 2024 for my birthday nails, it was super busy waited about 45 minutes no problem the man that did my toes was the receptionist maybe they needed him to step in since it was packed, not sure but he seemed new, right after I left my nails felt sore and raw he cut too much skin or cuticles around my nails. A month goes by I develop a bad fungus infection/paranychia (google it) fast forward to now I'm still dealing with this nail infection I'm on my third round of antibiotics hoping to finally get rid of it. This salon must not disinfect and sanitize their tools correctly. If anyone is reading this plz save your money and time it's not worth this horrible experience I'm now paranoid and probably will never get my toes done again. read more

Walked in and staff were very nice. I requested a gel mani and regular pedicure. The original white polish I chose was too clumpy and they didn't have a backup so they asked me to choose another color. I asked if they had any white available and they had an off white. It initially looked ok in the salon but I got outside and it looked almost like white Elmer's glue. Both the manicure and pedicure were both chipping a few hours after I left the salon. Pricey for something that barely lasts a day. read more

I love this place. I hadn't gotten my nails done in over 2-3 years and I wanted to start getting them done regularly. A friend recommended this spot. I've been going to this place consistently now for over a year. I think I've been helped by just about everyone there. It's not the fanciest place but they are clean and efficient. I've always been happy when I leave. Some of my takeaways: A lot of them don't speak great English. DO speak slowly and clearly to them and they will figure it out. DONT use more words or speak louder. That gets you nowhere. Help them help you. Some of the one star reviews sound like they could have been resolved if the reviewer weren't so....entitled. I'll say it again, don't raise your voice to them. They want you to leave happy, I promise. Not all of them do fancy nail art. If you want art, they may cycle a different person in to do the art. Those that do the art do a good job. Tip BOTH of them. Tipping well goes a long way here. Tip in cash. They have an ATM there that only has a 75 cent surcharge so if you don't have cash, use the ATM. read more

They have a points system so if you rack up so many you get a coupon and they are always sending out texts with discounts. I had an excellent experience from the initial call speaking to Brian and making an appointment to checking out. I don't live in town yet I'd definitely come out to get my nails done here again by Mimi. She took the time to soak them, file the old acrylic down to my natural nail and applied the ombré powder to create a whole new set. Our daughter had Amy do her nails and she was pleased too. She was delicate and took her time. The guy that did my nails did a great job. He was quick and my nails weren't sloppy! I think I would return! At first I really liked Howe Bout Nails, the prices were good and services was nice. I would get Acrylics occasionally, and it would come out okay. The male gentleman that is not Ryan, always did the acrylics in a rush and the nails were never the same length. I decided that acrylics wasn't for me so I switched over to gel manicure and was it the worst decision I ever made. I usually get the same older woman doing my nails and she would cut me sometimes because I do have small nail beds. She would file my nails so much that my nails would be super thin and weak (keep in mind that naturally I have strong nail beds). On top of that, the paint job was not okay, with a one or two fingers being a lighter color because the paint coat is not even. One of my last visits, she continues to file my weak nails and I told her to not do a gel color anymore since I want my fingers to breathe. She continues to ask if I was sure and I said yes and to only use clear polish. She showed signs of annoyance and did what I asked, however, she didn't give me cuticle oil, massage and lotion my hands even though that is what I paid for. I was super upset and felt like because I decided to change my mind at the end, that they would treat me like that, especially I have been going there for about 8 months. I am beyond upset. Also, the ATM only split out $20 bills so if you want to leave a smaller tip, you have to ask for change up at the cash register. Usually I just give the lady $20 tip and I am STILL treated like that. read more

Best nail techs at this salon. I have been going here for my nails and get the best service! My go to nail tech is Hannah. She is so nice and does the best full set. The trick to this spot is to call ahead for an appointment. Walking in for a last minute services is a gamble, so plan ahead. It is a full house every time I go in. They take cards but TIP your tech in CASH!!! They have an ATM with a low service fee (under a $1). Hannah is the best!! read more

My #1 spot. Very nice people and not pushy at all. They do quality work and whenever I'm stressed out and need to relax I go and get a deluxe pedicure, they are very gentle and relaxing. Other places I've gone I'm sitting in my chair wincing because they're doing something that hurts unexpectedly or the quality is just not there. I never have to worry about that here. read more

No filing down the nail to make it look more natural. No oil to make my hands look nice or soft. Just nothing. HORRIBLE. I have been coming to Howe 'Bout Nails for the past 9 years. I started with Sandy. But since Sandy has been gone, I only see Brenda. Brenda pays attention to what I like. We used to only deal with colors to change things up but now we do 3D and MANY designs. I have never had more compliments on my nails then I have since Brenda has been doing my nails. She always tries to fit me in when I call. She's quick and does beautiful work. She's open to try new designs and sometimes looks with me for designs off of Pinterest. I am absolutely so happy with the results of my nails and toes. I have not been to a salon as kind and friendly. Excellent customer service. They explain to me that because my nails are so short receiving a French manicure would not look so , I went with their recommendation and I am so happy. Very clean location. Very nice decor. I really wanted to like this place. I just moved to Sacramento and was looking for a spot. I just had my pedicure on Saturday and Sunday my toe was in pain. It seems that they made my ingrown nail worse and now is infecte. They also proceed to start mopping while my mom was still getting her nails done, which was ok but the odor that came from the Mop and the mop/bucket water was ...extremely unpleasant.
