This place is such a hidden gem! I booked Korean scrub and had such an amazing experience. I felt welcomed the second I walked in. I was given a locker for my things and robe and slippers to change into. The place was very clean and played very nice relaxing music. I booked the Korean scrub with Irma and she did a great job. It started with a full body scrub, then a light head and shoulder message as she washed my hair and ended with applying oil and aromatherapy spray. I felt so refreshed! After I was able to enjoy complimentary tea and snacks. I also sat in their dry sauna. I would definitely recommend this place if you're looking to get any spa treatment done! read more

I was really excited to try EBJ Sacramento because it seems like a one stop place for everything, but I can only speak for the specific service I booked which was the Palm and Sole massage. First, my masseuse was 30 minutes late which already threw things off. The service itself is 25 minutes which I understood going in, but it still did not feel worth it for me. The massage did not feel thorough or targeted. When they say palm they literally mean just your hands, not even your arms, which I expected. Same with the feet. I left feeling like the areas that actually needed attention were not really addressed. The experience itself felt a bit awkward overall. My masseuse was sitting down during the massage and working in a shared space where there was foot traffic and people walking back and forth. Overall I can only speak for this specific service, but for the Palm and Sole massage I personally would not recommend it. read more

I really wanted to give a good review but was unhappy with the start of my facial. I scheduled a distress facial and was excited to come in and do something for myself. The facialist looked at my skin and recommended more of an anti aging facial which was fine. Then she recommended a hydroplane which I never had before but said my skin needed it. As I lay on the table she walks back in with the extra materials and asks me to sign a waiver while I was laying there. I had to get my glasses and get out of a relaxed state of mind to fill out the waiver. Then I'm told there is an extra $50 fee for the service. My facial was already $95 which isn't cheap. I felt like it was a bait and switch to upsell me. The facial took the same amount of time but I paid $50 more. I get businesses are hurting but it wasn't the experience I was looking forward to. My friends gifted me a certificate to this spa, and I finally had the chance to use it--and wow, what an experience! I booked a de-stress facial and an aromatherapy massage. This was my first time at an actual spa (not just a massage place), and I was honestly blown away. From the moment I walked in, everything felt calming and luxurious. I was given a quick tour of the facilities--massage and esthetician rooms, steam rooms, showers--the works. I was given a locker with a robe and flip flops, and after changing, I waited in a cozy lounge with dim lighting, peaceful music, and the sound of water in the background. Total relaxation already. Maci was my esthetician and gave me my first-ever facial. She was so gentle and informative, walking me through each step and even offering helpful skincare tips for home. I had no idea a mini shoulder and arm massage came with the facial too--such a nice surprise. I felt incredibly calm afterward. I was offered a foot soak before my massage but decided to skip it and just relax until it was time. Amy did my massage and picked up right where the facial left off--it honestly felt like one continuous wave of relaxation. I think I even dozed off a couple of times! She applied just the right amount of pressure and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. This was hands down the best self-care experience I've had. Booked a deep tissue massage with Ruslan and he was amazing. The best massage I've ever had was vacationing in Hawaii and I was determined to find the same quality at home and Ruslan had met my expectations. His hands work magic getting into knots and tight spots on my back. What blew my mind was the simultaneous technique of kneading, pressing and rolling at the same time! I recently came in for a facial with Brandy and really enjoyed my experience. I was led into a private room where Brandy customized my experience based on my skin type. The facial was nice and I left with glowing skin. But, I do think I've had better facials. First of all, the room was suffocating. I happened to come in on a day where their AC wasn't working and it was over 100 degrees outside. :/ In no way was this Brandy's fault, but she did mention that it was only her room that was having issues and she had a little fan that was just blowing hot air. It was really hard to fully relax when I felt like I couldn't breathe. I wish they would have made arrangements for another room or considered calling me to reschedule. Secondly, I wasn't entirely sure what products Brandy was using on me. From time to time, she would tell me what she was doing but there wasn't much detail on what product she was using, why she was using it and why she recommended it or if I should keep up with it. When I left the facial, I was happy with how my skin looked and felt but I didn't know how to keep up with the look/feel. The gal at the register did tell me the products that Brandy was recommending to me but it felt like they were just trying to sell me on their products...because I didn't get an explanation on what the products were and how to use them and if she used them on me that day. After comparing my experience with my friend, who also had an appointment the same time as me, I felt like I had a least than extravagant experience because her esthetician was throughly explaining the process and recommending products to her during the appointment. I enjoyed my facial and I loved that the salon offered so many services, including a membership. So I'm not opposed to giving them another try. read more

Compared to the scrubs I've had in the Bay, this one felt much lighter and not as thorough. They didn't scrub as hard, barely scrubbing. so I didn't get that really clean, refreshed feeling I was hoping for. The Honey Dip service with Maria was great. Unlike anything I've ever done before - it was like a water massage/Turkish bath/full body scrub combo. The music turned off halfway through which was a bit distracting since I could hear everyone in the hallway, but I otherwise enjoyed the experience. I also had a pedicure which unfortunately was nothing special. My big toes are both very messy, it doesn't look like a professional job at all. Unfortunately I didn't realize how bad it was until I left. *Edited to add - I was contacted and offered a "redo" pedicure, which I happily accepted. I am so glad a friend recommended this place! It was an awesome choice for my annual birthday spa day! The entire staff was professional and did a good job with their individual services. I had a nice packaged that included a Himalayan Salt body scrub, facial, manicure, massage and use of the steam room and sauna. Starr gave me the best facial, I ever had! She thoroughly analyzed my skin and used products to best support my skincare needs. She didn't skip steps and took her time to ensure that my face looked great. Her personality was professional, welcoming and caring. Starr definitely sets the bar, I plan to return even if it's just to have another facial by her. The place was nice and clean. They even had cute holiday decorations. I appreciated the amenities because a lot of local spas don't offer a steam room or sauna. I typically have to drive out of town for spas that offer such amenities and have good service so it's good to know that we have this jewel in Sacramento. I was there most of the day so it would've been good if they offered salads or something other than cookies and apples. Do not sleep on this spot!!!!! I've been here twice and I feel so blessed for that! The first time I came in I came for a massage. I'll be honest here.. it wasn't my favorite experience. I can't remember his name but he talked the entire time. It was really frustrating because I just wanted to relax and sleep. The massage was still good, just not relaxing. The second time I came was on my birthday--- why?? Treat yourself! this time I saw Nancy for the signature honey dip. Nancy told me I made a smart choice because this was the best service they offered. She was not lying! When I say my body never felt so clean after...! This is how it starts- you arrive. You get a key to a locker. In the locker you put all your clothes and shoes, purse. Then Nancy came to get me and lead me into a room. She gave me these throw away panties to put on. I put those on but was otherwise naked. It started with a fountain of water all over me and it was warm and smelled so good. After that I got scrubbed down, and everything smelt so good. She repeated this process a few times. The power actually went out during my service which was sort of scary.. not to worry Nancy kept going like nothing changed. She continued to put lotion all over and scrubs and the huge waterfall of water. It was great. I even got my hair shampooed and conditioned and let me tell you those products smelled amazing!!! It was soooo relaxing. after I was done Nancy brought me a glass of water. I sat in the sauna and then the steam room. Can't wait to come back for another honey dip. I booked a honey dip treatment as I was told it was the best. I've been here one other time for the Korean Asian Scrub with Maria. It was wonderful, the flow, the warmth, the massage and she had the talent for making the customer feel exquisite. Friday night's honey dip wasn't a flow, exquisite experience. The woman's breath was strongly garlicky and it really took away from and herbal, elegant experience. The only time I couldn't smell the garlic was when she put a warm herbal mask on my face for 5 minutes. I know this kind of work takes effort and so I gave her a good tip. It also was one of the last treatments in the spa and for me a long day at work on Friday so I didn't want to say anything. The honey dip was not worth the cost with the garlic smell. I'm sorry to say this but as I'm in the healing profession I have to say it was not organic and nourishing. The sauna closed at 7:00 and if I had been told this I would have booked for another time. These two factors changed my experience and I hope the manager will caution the women to have fresh breath in the future and let someone know the full treatment would not include the sauna if its a late appointment. read more

Massages, facials, mani'a, pedi's, the list seems endless with the possibility of self care options. I have two words... honey dip. You want this. You need this. It's almost life changing. It's an experience unlike anything you probably have ever tried. Parking is all around the building, and the entrance is only in the front. Once you check in, you'll be taken to a changing room, given a locker and key. There are flip flops and a comfy robe waiting for you in the locker. Don't worry about the size, they have sizes for every body. The robes are super comfy. Tip: go in without makeup. You'll thank me. After you've slipped into your robe, you'll either go to a small meditation waiting area, or taken into the spa room. Once in the spa room, you'll be given a pair of disposable panties. You can opt to not use them. Climb up on the table, and you'll feel like someone truly loves you. Warm water is sprayed from above you with dimmed lights. Close your eyes. Relaxation is a real thing. The entire process is roughly an hour long with your body being scrubbed, lightly rubbed, wrapped, and rinsed off. Your experience is finished off with a lovely hair wash, scalp massage, and your face being lightly wrapped with warm moist towels. You'll be so relaxed that you'll want to go home and continue to enjoy your zen moment. After your dip, you'll be offered the sauna room. It's small, warm, and a lovely way to end the experience. I had scheduled a pedi afterwards, and it was a continuation of self care. The deluxe pedi was scrubbing/rubbing my calves, and an hour of great feet care. It was an awesome experience that needs to be repeated frequently. Tips: first time customers with Yelp check in get 20% off. Don't wear makeup. I found this Spa online as I was looking for a place that did multiple services & could not find one near me that offers services like this place does. I easily booked 2 appointments online for the same day. I booked the Honey Dip & a 90 minute Swedish massage. Honey Dip: WOW! This was an experience that I've never had before!! I read other reviews raving about how great it was & let me tell you they're not kidding!! I had Nancy, who was phenomenal. I told her this was my first time there and I had no idea what to expect with this type of treatment. Before entering the treatment room, she explained what would happen, and to let her know if anything is uncomfortable. Ladies, be prepared to strip down to nothing & expose everything The service is essentially a lay down luxurious shower, where your whole body is exfoliated and wrapped in a warm and delicious honey oil. Throughout the treatment you will receive massaging from head to toe. Your hair will also be washed, so don't wear any make up and no need to style your hair. Afterwards, my skin was the softest it's ever been and glistening. I will definitely be back for this treatment!!! Massage: I can't remember the gentleman's name but he was great, although at times a little too firm in some areas. He did great with communicating with me with what I felt comfortable with and if the pressure was too much. He definitely worked some knots out in my neck and shoulders as I told him these were areas that I had the most pain in. The massage was amazing & something I would do again. The salon itself was very nice and well-maintained. The only flaw I found was not having a private changing area. You are escorted to a room that has lockers, where you are to change into a bathrobe and strip down completely. However, in this room, there is no privacy. So I was in there with two other women who were trying to get fully dressed without exposing themselves entirely. The space is also small, so it was very awkward. The hot sauna and the steam rooms are a nice add on, but again are very small spaces. Both *can* accommodate about 3 to 4 people, but only 2 comfortably. I will definitely be returning as I did purchase their monthly membership. For the price of their monthly membership and the services that you receive with the membership it's an absolutely amazing deal!! I am so happy I found this place. read more

This place is definitely a must-try, but my recent experiences have been hit or miss. I suspect some new staff members may have been hired, and unfortunately, the level of politeness and attention to detail has decreased. For example, the therapist entered the room without knocking to check if I was under the sheets and didn't acknowledge my request for more pressure. The session also felt rushed, likely due to the later evening appointment. Treating myself to a spa day and a massage is not inexpensive, so I want to make sure I receive the high-quality service that Jeanette;s reputation has built. Moving forward, I would recommend booking with a more tenured therapist to ensure the best experience. I'll also consider opting for daytime appointments for a more relaxed session. I would also like to point out that the spa crew is bilingual and extremely polite when asked about other services. They are very accommodating, especially when working with guests who have limited English-speaking abilities, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. An incredible experience! I had some surgery that prevented me from showering for two weeks and my skin got flakey so I wanted a full body exfoliation. E by J delivered in ways I was not expecting. I had the Honey Dip exfoliation. They gave me a mesh G-string and had me lay down on a table. I really don't understand why they bother with the G-string because the instant it got wet, you could see right through it. The process begins with a warm rainfall pouring down on your body from chin to foot. They shampoo your entire body and rinse you off. Next is a salt-scrub exfoliation followed by another rinse. Then they coat your entire body in a warm honey sauce and wrap you in plastic. This sounds like it might be icky-sticky, but it was actually quite enjoyable. After you marinate for five minutes or so, they unwrap you and rinse you off. Finally, they shampoo your body once again with a eucalyptus shampoo that makes your skin tingle. Each one of these phases a felt like a full-body massage. After that, they invite you to the sauna or the steam bath. I would imagine they wouldn't mind if you did both and they said to stay as long as I like. It takes about an hour and the price I paid, while obviously a luxury purchase, seemed fair for the service provided. I would definitely do this again! Highly recommend! read more

The mud treatment and rain shower was so soothing and felt so good. It was my first time getting a treatment like this--so for the first timers--just beware that it will look like you are walking into some weird slaughter room/torture chamber. Imagine fully tiled small room, tons of faucets, weird orange lights, and your host wearing giant rubber boots! I also did the Vitamin C facial and, although it was wonderful as well overall, I did have some pretty bad scabbing that I wasn't aware could happen. My facialist didn't warn me at all about the scabbing or any aftercare so I was pretty surprised and worried by the scabbing. But alls well that ends well and after a few days my skin looked and felt great! I just wish I had been warned. read more

Before this I was in the lobby soaking my feet and before that I utilized the complimentary steam room and sauna room. Lupe was wonderful very professional great with her hands. The honey dip starts in a dim room with warm rain water pouring on you. Then your body is applied a scrub and your gently scrub down followed by rinse They spread warm honey on your body and wrap you up. Then you get this lovely facial it's heavenly. Followed by a shampoo and peppermint chilling sensational scalp massage It was well worth the money my mother had a facial and enjoyed it my sister had a cream scrub and I think it's like her fourth or fifth one and she enjoyed it.
