Food wasn't terrible. Ambiance a bit dated. Mostly older crowd. My salmon was not bad, and the brussel sprouts were actually delicious. Shout-out to my waitress Cara who was sweet, courteous, and quickly switched out one of my sides that I wasn't too fond of, with another one. Perhaps a one and done for me, but who knows? I may go back.

Haven't been here in a long time (don't get to Chester much any longer) but was out this way and my husband suggested we have lunch. The people were so nice, fast service, food came out quickly and hot and it was delicious!

Great restaurant. We were in town for a softball tournament for our daughter and of course it was also our wedding anniversary. We decided to try this restaurant which we wanted to try last year when we were in town for another tournament(they don't open til late). We of course tried the fried deviled eggs(didn't get a pic) they were so good. Worth getting an order or two. We ordered the grouper which was on the specials menu. Grouper itself was seasoned nicely and nice lite meal. Also ordered the steak and mushroom risotto, so good. Cooked perfectly. Our waitress was friendly and prompt. We ordered the crème brûlée so good and lite. The waitress told us afterwards that the restaurant was giving us our dessert for free for our anniversary which was so sweet. Cute restaurant nice and clean. Would give it a try if in the area.

    Prime rib....very good.

Howlett's Restaurant & Grill is a good place to get a prime rib. The atmosphere is a laid back with a wooden motif. It's clean and serviceable. Service was attentive and staff frequently asked about refills and if we needed anything. The prime rib was very good. While I don't think it was a prime cut, it was very good in texture, taste and well prepared. Good drink selection and pour. I recommend Howlett's Restaurant & Grill and I'll be back for their prime rib.

Once we were seated, our server came over right away and brought us rolls and honey cinnamon butter. I really want to like their rolls but they are very sweet to me. I even tried them with the regular, whipped butter and I still couldn't seem to enjoy them lol. I decided to order the Cactus Blossom to start and it was actually pretty good. For our entrees, my daughter ordered the Salmon and I ordered the Bone-In Ribeye. The Salmon was a bit dry and lacked some flavor but she enjoyed it. My Bone-In Ribeye was very good. It was cooked perfectly and the caramelized onions added great flavor. The Loaded Baked Potato was also great but I swear it was the biggest potato I've ever seen lol! Overall, we had a great experience. Our server was very nice and the food was good. As we were leaving, the floors were a bit slippery so I hope they fix that issue. Outside of that, we enjoyed ourselves and we'd definitely return.

The ribs fell off the bone, the ribeye was chargrilled and tender, the baked potato was well seasoned and hefty, and the green beans were flavorful and tasty. My mom's salmon tasted like I made it myself which is great because I'm always looking for dishes that taste like home when I don't feel like cooking. My only gripe: When did the rolls get so small?? They were mini rolls smaller than slider size. Still hot, buttery, and delicious, but so friggin' tiny.

My friends and I visited for lunch and were impressed with everything we ordered. Great portion size at a reasonable price. This establishment is top notch for burgers and has a full menu with many choices from salads, wraps and subs. The chicken Philly is one of the best I ever had. A unique creation called the Grubrito is huge and features a blending of flavors including pork belly (smoked on site) a good casual atmosphere. Truly a place where the locals go for a great lunch, dinner or to just unwind. Sorry no pics of the food, it was nicely presented, we were all hungry and just dove into our food.

My review. The…read moreBroiled Seafood Combination platter from The Boathouse at City Point delivers an exceptional waterfront dining experience with an amazing view. Presentation & Variety: The dish is a beautifully orchestrated showcase of premium seafood textures and clean flavors. The plate centers around a high-quality, lightly browned lump Blue crab cake resting atop a smooth bed of rich whipped potatoes. Individual Components: The Crab Cake: Features a golden-brown crust with minimal filler. It is packed with sweet, tender lump crab meat and garnished nicely with fresh herbs. Although there were a few remnants of crab shell within the cake, this was my favorite part of the entire meal as the authentic flavor of Blue Crab was abundant. The Scallops: Four large sea scallops were seared to perfection on one side, displaying an appetizing caramelization while remaining incredibly tender and juicy inside. The Shrimp: Five large, plump, tail-on shrimp circle the right side of the plate. They are beautifully cooked, retaining a vibrant pink color and snappy bite. The Sides: Fresh green asparagus spears rest in the center, providing a crisp, earthy contrast to the rich seafood. I don't eat veggies, so I didn't touch the asparagus. Would have taken a substitute, but the restaurant would not honor my request to substitute. Which is the reason for the service rating of 4.0, although the waitress did an amazing job. A bright lemon wedge and a side of robust cocktail sauce round out the plate perfectly, although neither was needed to make this meal taste any better. Bonus: They did give me a 10% discount on my food, therefore bumped my 3.0 rating of service to a 4.0. Would have been a 4.5 if Google allowed half star ratings. Highly recommend.

Also, one of the soap dispensers had no soap - there's a handicap stall, but the door into the bathroom isn't handicap accessible. Now the food - for "Starters" we ordered oyster Rockerfeller - too much spinach, not enough Parmesan cheese, bacon bits were larger than expected (pleasant surprise) for hubby. I had the broiled seafood combo (scallops, shrimp, and crab cake with Yukon gold mash potatoes & asparagus ...not bad, but not great My husband got the grilled chicken Florentine - he was disappointed with the portion size and was expecting the chicken to be a full breast stuffed with the mushrooms, etc and served over the pasta, not cut up pieces and everything mixed together. Needless to say overall we were disappointed and more than likely will not return. And BTW this was not our 1st visit, just the 1st time we weren't happy with the experience.

But i have never had a take out meal of fries in the same container as food like lamb and broccoli.... It made the fries kinda soggy. The broccoli was so hard that they may as well have kept it raw.
