When she got engaged last summer, I knew I wanted to make something special for her and I knew an aquamarine had to be involved. I went to No. 3 in search of something, but I didn't know what. I spotted a gold bracelet made my Melissa Scoppa that showed the phases of the moon on one side and had diamond stars on the other. After chatting with Lily for a bit about the bracelet, she suggested I could swap out the diamond for an aquamarine on the piece of the bracelet that was our birth moon phase - me, with a waning crescent and hers with a waxing gibbous. Genius! We decided to go forward with it, and had two beautiful bracelets made by Melissa with a little wink to our life long friendship. I couldn't be more pleased with the result, and neither could my friend. I love No. 3 so much because whoever you work with truly cares about what you're making and truly cares about beautiful jewelry. Two separate units failing doesn't seem like bad luck - seems like poor quality / lack of security in the hinge feature. Because this happened with two separate earrings, I asked the store to allow me to return the remaining earring in my possession, since it would be of no use to me without the second earring. The store declined, citing an inability to inspect the earring(s) that fell off (which, ironically, I'd have gladly provided if they hadn't both failed and fallen off so quickly). I'd expect better quality from an in-house line, and importantly, better customer service when a clear pattern is reported.

It felt a little weird walking in dressed in my hobo bike gear wanting to get a silver chunky ring repaired when they obviously deal in precious jewels and metals but hey, not all of us are into those things. Plus, this ring has sentimental value to me and I really wanted it repaired. I talked to a wonderful and friendly lady behind the counter who was fascinated by my armour ring (I guess the bonus of unusual jewelry like that is they don't get to see it often in those types of shops!) She said she was pretty sure one of the jewelers could repair it for me with a piece of silver (since the ring itself is solid silver). I filled in my information, got my return ticket, and headed out. A little less than a week later, I received a phone call that my ring was ready to be picked up. She told me that they were open a bit later that evening so I didn't have to rush insanely out of work to get there (they close normally at 4:30 pm). They also only take cash or check, so she gave me the price over the phone so I could have it with me when I arrived. I showed up just in time and she pulled my ring out for me. It was perfect! You can't even tell where the new post was put in to fix the joint! It had also been cleaned up so it was once again shiny and new looking! I happily paid my $25 in cash, knowing I'll get more years out of my beloved ring. I will happily go back here if I have other jewelry needs in the future! The 4:30 close time and only open on the weekdays is a bit frustrating, not gonna front, and taking only cash or check is also annoying, but honestly, for how happy they made me with the work they did and how nice and sweet the customer service was, I'll happily deal with those little inconveniences.

We wanted to support a local artisan so came here. The gentleman we met gave us the rundown on the diamonds they use, mostly recycled antique diamonds from other people's rings. The ring we selected was already made and just needed to be sized, so we gave them our daughter's ring size. We told them the date of our daughter's graduation and asked if the ring would be ready in time. They gave us an unequivocal yes - the ring would be ready in time so we could give it to her as a gift at her graduation. A month passed and we didn't hear from them. We called twice. no one returned our calls. We sent 2 emails. We got no reply. Finally, a few days before her graduation, we got a voicemail saying that the ring wasn't ready. The Overmann team expressed surprise that we needed it by this date. They hadn't listened to us at all. They just collected our money. The ring was finally ready 2 weeks after the date it was promised to us. (Note: all they had to do was size it.) No apology, no accountability. Then the real fun started. My daughter noticed that the diamonds were falling out (?!!) We called Rebecca Overmann to let her know. They told us to bring the ring in. They were surprised that the ring was poorly made. They made it, so that was confusing. They said the ring needed to be remade entirely, because the diamonds would keep falling out given the shoddy construction. It would take another month and the ring would "look different." (Did I mention we had already paid?) In summary: poorly made jewelry, overpriced items, poor Customer Service. We recommend getting your nice jewelry somewhere else.

The saga: I purchased two rings from Rebecca Overmann in April 2026 for my now fiancée. This review is specific to her engagement ring. The stone itself is beautiful and it is one of a kind, so credit is due. My fiancée loves the stone and the setting of the ring looks visually stunning, but more time and attention needs to happen prior to handing off a ring of this symbolic value to a customer. The engagement ring was already made and only needed to be resized. This was not a custom piece. The turnaround time for the re-size was quick. When I gave the ring to my now finacée, we noticed that the ring was making a clicking sound. This was not exactly a comforting experience or one that would make someone feel content after a substantial investment. In short, the stone was loose (likely due to the resize), which, fair enough, mistakes happen, but why would the studio not catch this in a quality control check before handing off to a customer? When I got the ring back, post the tightening of the prongs, the diamond had dark marks on the sides of the stone and there was a rough texture to one of the prongs. At this point, I was disgruntled and defeated that something that was supposed to be a blissful time was consumed with dealing with this ring and dodging questions from our families and friends about seeing the ring. The studio did take the ring back and clean it and buff out the rough prong. However, I would have appreciated a more sincere apology from the studio from the onset and accountability right off the bat. I went back and forth on writing this review or not, but after taking time to reflect on the facts, felt that alerting potential customers was warranted. If you're local and okay with some back and forth (i.e.- going to the studio multiple times), I would still go to the studio because, as mentioned, the stones are truly one-of-a-kind.

This ring would have easily cost $30,000-$40,000 at Tiffany & Co. and it wouldn't have been as pretty. No one has mine!
