I came here a few years ago to get my safety inspection done and before going I called to make sure they were open and doing inspections. The person on the phone told me as long as I brought my vehicle during the hours posted, I would get my safety inspection done. So I did and had no issues, even came back the year after and no issue. I called ahead to find out about the safety check process. Guy on the phone was very professional and explained that Safety Check is walk in first come first serve and $26 cash. Parked in the visitor parking in front, went to the office with my registration, insurance, and old safety check. Gave the guy the forms and the keys. Then he gave me the keys and forms back once the safety check was done. Paid the $26 and then was driving out. Took about 15min. The guy was super friendly and professional. Went during lunch hour at about 12:30 and had no line. Highly recommend this place! Tip: Be sure to look for a visitor's stall when parking. The stalls are kind of tight, so watch out. read more

Only giving a 1-star bc I needed to but I would give this place a negative 10 if I could. Took me in pretty quickly for a safety check. My insurance and registration is current and up to date with correct VIN matching. My vehicle passed ALL safety inspection checks. However, my maiden name was on the current registration but my married name was on my current license and current insurance card and the inspector failed me. He stated that I'd need to return with a revised registration before he could pass the inspection. I called multiple garages that perform safety checks who all stated that this shouldn't have happened. I went to another establishment that same morning and was passed with the same exact documents. I'm not well versed in laws for safety check but based on my conversations with other reputable businesses this inspector was in the wrong. Considering I paid about $10 less everywhere else and got a free tire rotation, HT Automotive never had me waiting 2-4 hours for an oil change like every other shop did. And they're honest with their findings when they do a visual inspection. A different shop in Waipahu tried to jip me to fix a part that HT Automotive said was still good. Supercharged Ford Lightning SVT I just had such an amazing experience. My truck was in need of diagnosis which they already knew there were challenges in figuring out what it was wrong with it. I brought it in for my appointment an hour late and they were very kind about it even though they were busy. They diagnosed my vehicle and gave me the diagnosis shortly after. After agreeing to the job, they worked extremely hard to get the vehicle done and fixed by the end of the day. Finally they charged me a more than fair price for doing it. It's Comforting to know they will not take it vantage of you. I'm through my personal experience I just had, these guys will NOT take advantage of you. I would use them for all of my vehicle repair needs. The manager I dealt with has been in the Auto industry for many years. Will never do busy with them again. Got a quote and when I pick up my vehicle total was 3x the amount. They never called to let me know what was going on . Got my vehicle back and it was not what I expected for what I paid. Was told the vehicle was running good "we text drove the vehicle a couple of timesl" but vehicle was not running good at all over heating brakes needed vacuum and I was never told about these issues. I felt like i was getting the run around on fixing some thing because the engine compartment of my 2005 corolla wasn't clean, however, no leaks. They offerred to fix next week before passing. I thought this was a waste of time and money. They also said they dont take a home printed insurance card as valid, i needed to show them the original pdf in my email. They also told me the process of getting my car registered in Hawaii since I brought it over from the mainland which was great because I was unsure.
