    Cheeseburger Omelet
    Julia V.

Fast and quick service in this cute and quirky diner, we were really impressed with the delicious caramel ice coffee and high-quality beef. My husband and I ordered the cheeseburger omelet and Big Mike special, two dishes that both included well-seasoned and high quality angus beef. My cheeseburger omelet in particular was absolutely delicious--a medley of beef, onions, mushrooms, peppers and cheddar cheese. The biscuits, on the other hand, were grainy and glazed with sweet butter, and ultimately a menu item that we really didn't care for. They also lacked structural integrity, and appeared to be lacking a crispy and buttery exterior. Biscuits aside, we loved all the other side options and we want to go back to try the fried green tomatoes and fried jalapeños.

The service was amazing! Super friendly & attentive! The place is clean with a nostalgic atmosphere. The BEST was the fried green tomatoes salad! It's not on the menu so you'll have to request it when ordering! I highly recommend it for a vegetarian option. Delicious!!! The food is plentiful in portions but the hamburger steak was lacking seasoning! I didn't eat it! The onion rings were big and good but again no real flavor! The club sandwiches were good & presented nicely! No one at the table ate the fries so I tasted one since fries are usually loved by all and they tasted different... ‍ not sure why but the oil had an odd flavor! Overall our experience here was good so yes, I recommend this place!

I loved the decoration and vibe of this restaurant. I also appreciated when we went on a Sunday at noon we had the option to pick from the breakfast or lunch menu. My boyfriend thought his breakfast platter was a great deal and the quality of his food was great. I had the blackened catfish salad and the salad and fish was nice and fresh. I'm docking one star because the fish was very salty. I had to get my boyfriend to try it and he agreed.

Ya want some good food? They got you covered! Bea and Cort took care of us here! Cort took time to explain what came with what, how it came what sold best and was cheerful about it! The food is awesome! The place has a fifties vibe and it's clean! There's like 3 dining areas we sat in the front near the kitchen. We both had hamburger steaks Julie had rice and I had mashed potatoes. Green beans are really good and Julie liked the steamed broccoli. We both had Sundays for desert too! We are for sure going to come back for another visit!!

We had chicken and sausage gumbo, Pepper Jack boudin balls, bam bam gator bites and the blackened chicken pasta. The waiter this time was better than the waitress we had last time. He was very attentive and made sure we never had to ask for refills. The appetizers came out fairly normal time-wise I would say. The main portion took a little bit longer than what you're used to at a franchise restaurant but here that's perfectly fine as it's worth the couple extra minutes. The gumbo is perfect(I love when gumbo is not over complicated) I like to add a lil hot sauce to it and it's delicious... only thing is, while they already give generous portions... the cup and the bowl looked exactly the same except I think in the bowl they give you one extra scoop of rice... which would be just fine if it wasn't like $6 more. But still delicious nonetheless. The bam bam gator bites were really good and I highly recommend them. If you like bam bam shrimp you'll love these. The pepper jack boudin balls were good, nothing special but they were definitely worth the try. My co-worker had the blackened chicken pasta and when I asked him how it was he said "dude, it's really good!" lol. The building is pretty unique and they have some outside seating with a massive beautiful tree that over looks the restaurant and takes claim to some of the asphalt in the parking lot lol. But it's a great spot for birthdays, good lunch menu deals, casual date night or if you wanna blow some steam off, they have a little bar in the restaurant as well. Overall, I HIGHLY recommend. I'm from East Texas, so I'm no Cajun/Louisianan but they truly got some good grub here. I'll definitely be coming back several more times when I get the chances. I will warn you, I believe the food is freshly made so when it gets to the table, give it some time to cool off because it comes out HOT.

More specifically their flatbreads and loaded fries, which I do not currently see on their website. Most of the time they have loaded fries which in the past have consisted of gravies and sauces. One preparation we ordered came with pickled okra. The fried green tomatoes are also very good, especially to start with or share. As far as main dishes go we have tried the following: All Hail Caesar (Flatbread) Spicy Chicken Sandwich Smoke Fried Chicken-N-Biscuits Social Cheeseburger The Mac n Cheese is a must get as a side in my opinion. One of the first times we visited they had carrot cake as a dessert, we still talk about that carrot cake today. If you are a sweet tea lover this place has a twist which I love. There's no host stand or clear seating system, so the entrance felt chaotic. We weren't sure what to do until a nice local told us to just grab a table. After sitting down, it took about 5 mins for a waitress to stop by with the menus. The menu includes both breakfast and lunch items, but the ordering process is confusing. We were told breakfast orders would be taken at the table and lunch needs to be ordered separately at the cafeteria style counter. My husband went to the counter to order lunch while I stayed behind, waiting for the server to return with drinks and take our breakfast order, she never did. The smothered pork dish looked worse than school cafeteria, and unfortunately tasted like it too. It was overly salty and the pork had a weird taste to it. Since we had already paid for the lunch item upfront and still hadn't been able to place breakfast order, we decided to cut our losses and went to another restaurant. Overall, wasted 35 mins and left frustrated and disappointed, definitely won't come back!

The main issue here is the overall service experience and the food quality. The interior is old school but immediately chaos; there is a Luby's style ready serve food line and tables as well for dine in. We didn't know but apparently you just find a table and sit down, we were standing around waiting to be seated for a bit. Apparently you order lunch plates at this hot food line and then order breakfast via your server at the table. This makes no sense. We waited 35 minutes for staff to take our breakfast order and beverages unsuccessfully, so I went up and ordered a lunch plate of smothered pork and just paid up front. The guy working the ready made food line was also pretty rude and didn't want to be there; great! It was definitely below Treebeard's level and was very salty and not very flavorful. The sauce that they poured on the rice was extremely salty as well. Meh food quality and the absolute chaos of the brunch dining experience made the brunch meal very unenjoyable for our group. We left afterwards and went to another restaurant to eat.
