came back after the owner wanted me to try the true experience and it was much better! latte this time was a lot more balanced with their coffee to milk ratio. the worker was super nice and efficient as well. ambiance at this shop is super cute, local artist full the wall and there's a nice covered outdoor seating area as well. i really enjoyed our drinks, unfortunately they had no maple syrup which i really wanted to try but the peppermint white chocolate latte was great! definitely glad to give it another try, seems like a nice local joint. read more

Quick service and delicious coffee. They have quite a selection of coffee drinks and milk alternatives are available. They have a cold case with quick bites like sandwiches, fruit, hard boiled eggs, snack packs, and mini cheesecakes. I had the iced turmeric latte with a shot of espresso, and picked up some bite sized recipe box cheesecakes. The drink was perfect and not sweet. My friends and I decided to head over to Renaissance Hotel give Darkshot a try for our usual Friday morning get-together for coffee and a bite. The coffee is good here and the service is friendly. There is plenty of seating in the lobby as well as outdoor seating on the patio - weather permitting. Everyone was satisfied with their drinks - I had a Chai Latte and it was very flavorful and rich spicy chai tea blend with a good balance of milk. One friend had iced tea and served up just the way she liked it. My other friend had coffee and said it was good. We also like to get a little bite to eat - usually a sweet and a savory. Since we got there a little later in the morning, most of the good items (breakfast burritos) were sold out. So we settled on a muffin and a croissant sandwich. They were ok, nothing special. For someone staying here, it is a great spot to pick up a drink and a quick snack before heading out. When the weather is nice, sitting out on the balcony overlooking the river would be delightful. read more

I wanted to try this place because it is on the river with an awesome view! Its inside the Renaissance hotel in downtown Reno. Nice seating area In The hotel Lobby and dog friendly. The girl behind the counter acted like we were ruining her day or she just hated life. Coffee was nothing special or the girl, again didn't care, not sure either way it left a bad taste in my mouth. read more

Let me preface this by saying I despise Sbux and am a die hard Dutch Bros girl. I also realize coffee is very personal to people. I only drink milky syrupy iced drinks. I work in the same building and today needed some caffeine. I went and got the same drink I always get at Dutch fully expecting to be at least somewhat disappointed. OMG dare I say it was even BETTER?? Yes. Yes it was!!! It's not convenient unless you're staying at the Marriott or at that building for some reason but if you are, try it! This coffee shop is actually inside of the Renaissance Hotel which I was unaware of before driving here. It is a typical coffee shop with a large menu, pastries, breakfast burritos and yogurts. There was only 1 staff member working at 8 AM and I was thankfully able to order prior to a large group of what appeared to be a business group ordering altogether. I ordered an iced vanilla latte and an everything bagel. Both were good! Nothing to write home about but still worth going back to. read more

The two stars is because the latte was really good, but it was definitely served with a side of attitude! Owning a restaurant myself, I am always super nice to staff because I know they work hard and dealing with the public isn't easy, but the blonde girl working yesterday (glasses) was so rude! I started to order she immediately cut me off and said "ok slow down, your going to need to give me a minute to put the order in!" I then said my order again slowly. I ordered a Chai tea latte and a vanilla latte both 16oz and both hot. She went over and made them and handed me the first one and said "here's the latte". When I asked which one it was, she got super snarky and said "The Latte!" I then reminded her that I had two lattes. She looked and me and said "yeah but I don't call the chai a latte, I just call it the chai tea!" I guess I was the jerk for not knowing her verbiage was different when referring to two lattes!!??? Anyhoo- she has no business working that job dealing directly with customers. Her attitude warrants her a warehouse job where she doesn't interact with the public! read more

i came here to kill some time, and i've been exploring near coffee shops the past few days. this one has hit the spot and the best one by far. the menu is huge, so many options and the prices are just about what you would find anywhere else. i just ordered a mango smoothie instead of coffee today, but it is crazy delicious. the staff are super nice and will make your day. highly recommend:) read more
