Best wild mushroom gnocchi I've had in decades. The Negroni was fabulous as well. Will definitely be back for more deliciousness!

Large portions, flavourful broth, fresh ingredients. I enjoyed the bubble tea, my colleague did not. Just a difference in taste. I loved the creamy blend of cheeses for the topping. To her, it was reminiscent of ghee. I thought it added a lushy creaminess to the overall drink. Kinda like getting used to salt on caramel. Service is lovely, just not super fast which is okay if you're not pressed for time. Otherwise, a solid spot to feed your ramen tastebuds.

Their broth is cooked for 8 hours at a minimum and their tonkotsu broth was mind blowing- super rich, balanced, just perfect. The soup came out in huge portions with a ton of toppings and sides - their chashu pork was melt in your mouth tender and the ramen eggs were perfect. My wife loved her vegetarian broth and went nuts for her lychee jasmine tea - she couldn't stop drinking it. This place absolutely blew our minds with the food and the service - the owner came out to talk to us despite her restaurant being slammed. Very very highly recommended if you love ramen. We will be back.

=== 1. VERDICT/VALUE A touch of Japan on Cedar Hill - come…read morehere for the food, language, good food, and if you're a young one - Pokemon cards from the proprietor! === 2. FOOD Salt (Shio) Ramen ($16.50) The broth here makes the difference - thick, and true to flavour when one steeps a long time with bones - it's good and flavourful, yet not too salty and it doesn't leave you thirsting to drink anything thereafter. The Japanese-style BBQ pork slices, delicately-boiled egg and bean sprouts of course work well. Pork Egg Don ($18.25) Great pork tonkatsu - lightly battered the way it should be and it overall a great choice of dish if you're not looking for something soupy! Fried Rice ($4 for regular size; $7 for large size if buying an entree) I think it's worth it - it's tasty but a little salty and the portion size is good ofr sharing between two people! === 3. SERVICE I've only ever seen three people work there before and so while service is professional, they can get a little busy when the house is fulll (which is not uncommon). But it's worth it. And the leader/owner (?) is always cognizant of little kids including my own and is ready to hand out a choice of a random Pokemon card to bring more smiles into the establishment! === 4. ENVIRONMENT It's all, a little dim, and maybe updated in the 90's. The lights are different coloured, but they clearly spend the money on the staff and food. There are a few two-seat, and four seat tables/booths. There is a single table that seats up to eight. Wheelchairs and baby strollers could fit but only barely and they may best stay near the front. Parking is about as lucky as you get in the shopping complex which seems to ebb and flow throughout the day!

I've visited a half-dozen times now with family and consider this the "go to ramen shop". Simple,…read morerelaxed layout and direct, no nonsense service, but the ramen is fantastic and prices are reasonable. Mostly spicy bowls (one non-spicy called the "Salt" that I always get due to food allergies). Lots of options for "extras" (e.g., meat, corn). You can get a basic side of fried rice that is a nice add-on. It has a warm, social vibe and is popular with the younger crowd. Appreciate that the guys offer my kid a Pokémon card at the end of each meal - makes him feel welcome.

Apparently, Ramen Arashi is part of a Canadian chain that originated in Banff. It's a clean restaurant and the service was good. The bathroom is very clean and nice. I got the miso ramen and it was yummy but about what you would expect from a ramen place. It's served with a dollop of butter on top which melts nicely into the broth.

It was on the late side for lunch (past 1PM) so we were fortunate enough to be able to walk right in and get served quickly. The takoyaki wasn't the most octopus-stuffed I've ever had, but it was solid! My husband and I split the black sesame tonkotsu ramen and the yuzu shio ramen. Both were unique in their own ways; the black sesame flavor in that tonkotsu was super pronounced and it was a very hearty ramen. The yuzu shio was super light and very flavorful; the yuzu flavor was also super pronounced. Also love the amount of tender chashu slices they give you with each bowl. The lettuce in the yuzu shio bowl was not my favorite; I appreciate the thought of more fiber/something healthier but the soup is so hot that it cooks the leafy greens immediately and I don't love wilted lettuce in my ramen. But all the other toppings were great; bamboo shoots were super flavorful, nori was crunchy, and eggs were perfectly jammy. Great place to grab a bowl of ramen if that's what you're craving!

We had made…read morereservations a few weeks prior to our trip and I would highly recommend making a reservation if you plan on coming here. The restaurant was packed and the kitchen was hustling. There were so many beautiful and creative dishes passing by our table all night long; if I lived here, this would definitely become one of my regular places to go. The service was quick and friendly. The food was incredible; really fresh and presented beautifully. We had met up with a neighbour who had moved to the area and we ended up staying until the place closed. It was just a lovely evening overall. I would definitely recommend Nori for delicious Japanese cuisine but be sure to make a reservation!

Good food, good service, and in a place with good vibes. === 2. FOOD When dining at lunch, the lunch specials offer incredible value; each option includes 4-piece California roll, small green salad, 2-piece gyoza, 2-piece prawn tempura, a miso soup, and a side dish ("okazu") of the day. Some thoughts: - The portions are decent even if you're hungry! - The prawn tempura (at least today) feel more batter than prawn. - The okazu (at least today) was fried - a fancy spring roll - which is interesting as side dishes in Japan in this context are often fish-based?). - Overall, the food quality is good. Buta Shoga Lunch Special ($22) Shoyu, ginger-marinated pork on rice - a good heart-warming combo as any! Sashimi & Sushi Lunch Special ($23) 6 pieces of sashimi (salmon and tuna) and three pieces of sushi (also salmon and tuna) make this lunch special one of the healthier options on the menu. Chashu Miso Ramen ($18) My little guy loves noodles, even if it comes in piping-hot pork bone broth. Depending on your little one, kids 6 and under in age may need a grown-up to help finish this dish! === 3. SERVICE The place is POPULAR and so be prepared to wait. One the most recent visit during lunch, we were lucky to slide in fairly quickly and the servers were fairly prompt and professional. === 4. ENVIRONMENT It's basic, yet has a modern open-view environment with a view of the bar/kitchen from across the restaurant. It's similar in vibe to its sister restaurant nearby (Horang) but the service is better and diners with small children will find more appealing seating options here. Wheelchairs and baby strollers would fit just fine and your chance at finding a place to park in the shopping complex lot outside is pretty decent!
