There was absolutely nothing positive I can say about my meal here. I ordered a burger and fries and a fountain drink. That was all. Had to wait 20 minutes for the order. The burger had zero flavor. It tasted like they took ground beef and threw it on a grill with no salt, no pepper, no seasoning at all. The fries were also bland. Again they threw frozen fries into the fryer and then threw them into the container. No flavor at all. Finally, when I ordered a large fountain soft drink it was $2.25. What I got was a drink cup that was smaller than most other restaurants' small size and then was told they only have one size. My God, soft drinks cost about a dime to make and they rip you off with a thimble to drink out of. Finally, I'm not one of those people who complain about whether people should be wearing masks or not but if you are concerned, don't come here. A lady walked in with a mask around her neck and it stayed there the entire time of her visit. She walked up and down the front counter, into the dining room and into the washroom. Oh, by the way, all she ordered was water and a soda. Despite all the warning signs stating that you must wear a mask to enter, nothing was said by the staff. I guess they're too busy not putting flavor in your food to make sure you are safe. Never again!! read more

Been going to this business for more than 20 years and it's been the same. I had no idea that the owner has changed some time ago. They have the best gyros plate in the city! I can't go to any other place. The raw onions in gyros plate are always sweet and never too bitter. I love it! It's an inexpensive, quick meal for the family. Hubs has been around for a very long time. It was a nice treat to go to Hubs back in the days. Unfortunately they have declined in quality. Steak sandwich is now paper thin and the gyros is no longer the same. I would not recommend. read more

Service is terrible. Phone service (you can literally hear another worker on a personal phone call) I learned that she picked up groceries from Jewel and Roast was going to be served for dinner. Great. I obviously was more in tune with her conversation as I was being rushed on phone with the young lady as she was very uninterested in taking my order and assume being at her job. She asked for my name and than hung up on me. Never even gave me an ETA on pickup. When I arrived, I waited 5-6 minutes until someone came to the register. Hello, We are long time customers of this location ever since my childhood we eat from here. Unfortunately, my family and I will no longer purchase from here. We purchased a sirloin steak to go because of covid and our parents being high risk so we can no longer eat in. When we arrived and open up the food, the steak had a foul smell like it was bad meat and we went back to tell them about the meat hoping for a resolution. The counter service was beyond awful. One woman who worked there seriously looked like she wanted to murder everyone there - staring daggers is an understatement. And I can promise you that we were nice and not high maintenance or anything like that...yet she still treated us like absolute crap. I asked another nice-seeming, Eastern European lady working at the counter about something, since she was right there. These are one of those places I would actually care about if it were to go under. I grew up on this place for at least 10yrs now. Its definitely part of my childhood and Im surprised Im not obese because of it. Rib tip dinner with a side of cheese and a strawberry shake. There's a weird vibe at Hub's. It's not quite fast food. It's not quite a sit-down restaurant. Yes, you will be stared down by murals of the SNL "You like-a da juice?" guys. But you will be more amused by the incredibly varied clientele. During my visit, there were young couples, elderly people and families. Every person who walked through the door appeared weirder than the last. As for the food, I had the chicken kabobs and they were awesome. Super moist chunks of chicken with various herbs. It was really outstanding. I mooched off my friends' sides of fries and those were also very good. I'd need to sample more of the menu to officially recommend Hub's, but if you're just going for the food and not the creepy, creepy atmosphere, Hub's gets a green light. read more

Hub's. Classic. Been coming here for as long as I can remember. When you walk it, you are reminded of childhood and all the fries that came with it. (and the cups of cheese!) Great place for late night and super affordable foods. Not much has changed over the years. Service is nice and fast. Food comes out hot and delicious. Stomachs full and happy. I've only had the gyros here, but they are definitely stand-out. They're piled high with gyro meat that's cooked just right that it's kind of crisp and juicy all at once. It reaches the point where you might as well just slide the gyro off the pita and eat it separately since there's so much you'll have trouble keeping it all intact. Also props for being open late - a great destination to hit up before, during, or after Lincoln Karaoke next door. My big gripe: they are slooooooooow. I couldn't tell why but last time I waited 15 minutes or so for a simple gyro sandwich...sure, they were moderately busy, but they had a full staff. I swear, when I ordered, the cooks in the back kind of stood around doing nothing for 5 minutes until they had enough tickets queued up that they felt they should move. The fries seem to have been sitting there waiting for the lunch hour. The pita for the gyros were a bit stale. Like it was warmed up and was carried over the next day. We live in the area and we come her for Gyros quite a bit. They're delicious and you can easily get two meals out of it. However, yesterday we placed a pick-up order. They messed up the order, so we had to drive back. There wasn't any apology, and on top of that, they charged me the extra $5 difference. To me, that's unacceptable. I gave it four stars because of the people up front at the registers are never really friendly always seems like they don't want to be there been here more than a dozen times and it's always same thing. I've been coming here since I was a kid and too be honest, not much has changed. I love that though, because the nostalgia is real! The Greek lemon chicken and Greek fries (topped with oregano, lemon and feta!!! Amazing) is what I normally get. Typical old school diner vibe with excellent customer service. I have been coming to Hubs for many years. My usual order is the Chicken Kebab plate. So good! It comes with salad, pita and a side order. I usually go with rice or a baked potato. Other options are available but I cannot remember what those are. They have lots of fast food types of foods like burgers, hot dogs etc. The Gyros here are the bomb dot com. Lol The place is pretty big and you can sit at a table or a booth. They have a parking lot which is super convenient . I see other reviews mention staff being unfriendly, I never experienced it. They have been nothing but friendly to me. I would definitely recommend trying Hub's. read more
