What can I say? Huddle House is like any ol diner type spot. Missing bar stools and great service,what more can anyone ask for? I believe the young lady's name is Sarah. Sweet and pleasant and smiled the whole time! The food was delicious! My son was not pleased at first because he's an IHOP kind of guy. But he enjoyed the oreo pancakes made by the cook. Yes, there were only 2 people working. One serving and taking payment and the other lady cooked. And boy, did she cook! It was pretty busy, and they both held their own and kept things moving at an even pace. Good for them. It felt nice and comfortable there. Huddle House on Highway 52 in Moncks Corner is a great place to get breakfast food all times of the day when you are hungry and need something good. I really like having this option and being able to stop here during the times other options may not be available. We are regulars here . We normally come when Beverly is working and before 10pm. Last night we went around 11pm. It was not busy. The 2 young servers were talking loudly about their schedules and talking about things that shouldn't be said in front of guest. We waited an additional 45 minutes and still had not received our food after more than an hour. Being told that it will be coming soon and then hearing the same thing 30 minutes later is not acceptable especially when it was slowing down and people were leaving. From the moment I entered the building and had to wait 10 minutes for a vacant table in the corner, I could tell this wasn't going to be a good meal. If I could give this place no stars I would. This was our second visit, the first time was after the reopening which was a great experience. I'm not sure what has changed, maybe management? So we arrived, we were ignored, as well as other customers who came in. After sitting for 15 minutes our waitress asked about our drinks. The waitress was pleasant. We placed our order then the waitress returned to say they had no biscuits and it would be a 30 minute wait if we wanted them. We declined to wait and placed a different order. While waiting I continued to watch other customers be ignored and tables remain unclean so new customers could sit. After awhile they sat at the dirty tables and the waitress acted annoyed by them doing this. First off they were elderly so show some respect and second you cannot expect customers to stand and wait over 15 minutes while you continually pass a dirty table! There was also a waitress who kept getting on her phone, very unprofessional. There were three waitresses and only ours was cleaning off tables and seeming to serve, the other two might as well not have been there. There were two cooks. So we sat for over 40 minutes after waiting the additional 15 to be acknowledged, could've had the biscuits huh. I got up to pay for our coffee and my husband was telling the waitress we were leaving and then she says our food was coming out. We ate, wasn't worth the wait, then we get our $40 ticket.
