Nahh, not impressed. A lot of locals recommended this place for breakfast, but it just reminded me of another version of Waffle House. I ordered the Granny's Country Omelet with a side of pancakes. The omelet tasted like it was made with low quality ingredients. The cube-shaped ham & veggies makes me think they were frozen or came out of a can. My pancakes were inconsistent in flavor and texture as some parts tasted burnt and were flat. They also looked different from my husband's pancakes which was a red flag. Can't say I would recommend. I don't know the area but I'm sure there are better breakfast places around :( read more

It was Monday around 7:40 and my fiancé and I wanted to grab an early bite so we picked here. Upon entry we were promptly greeted and seated. I asked for a spot where we could sit and stay for a while and we were given a booth in the far corner. Very nice. Our server, Jamie gave us very good service. She was friendly, responsive, and professional. She got our order 100%. Neither of us were really in the mood for "breakfast breakfast" so she ordered an orange, cranberry muffin and it looked so yummy. She offered me a sample and it is definitely an awesome treat. She says that it's her favorite muffin. Now I've got something else that I can use to surprise her with. I ordered grilled Cajun chicken breast with billed asparagus and steamed green beans. If there's one thing I HATE it's dry chicken breast so you can't imagine how happy I was when mine came out moist and juicy. They are always good about that here. The roasted asparagus was great but the green beans were a little lacking. They had a soft, overcooked texture. I was not expecting that. We began noticing that it was a little cool. I hadn't eaten from Perkins in decades. The location my family used to go to occasionally isn't there anymore, that's how long it's been. But hubby wanted sweets and I wanted a meal, and Ubereats offered up this Perkins and after perusing the menu, the irresistible pie and cake slices drew hubby's eye, and mine stopped at Eggs Benedict. The order was in. The Benedict was so amazing for delivery. The eggs were perfectly cooked, with proud molten yolks atop ready for piercing. The Hollandaise on the side had gone a bit chunky, but I shook up the container and it poured on the glory. The hashbrowns were not good. They were bitter like old grease. I drowned them in the rest of the Hollandaise and ketchup and ate them because I hate to waste food. My side of a muffin I intended for breakfast the next morning was not in the order. We'll blame Ubereats and not my driver, but my husband's Peanut Butter Silk pie also did not arrive, and my driver was chubby LOL Ubereats made it right and luckily hubby's Chocolate Overload cake arrived and was so rich and deep with flavor he didn't need the pie. I also got the Strawberry and Cream Cheese Crispers, and while the menu picture showed 3, only 2 were in the box. But they were pleasantly warm, savory-sweet, the perfect dessert for a non-dessert person. I left one for hubby but if he doesn't eat it, it's my breakfast for work tomorrow, since I missed out on the muffin this morning. Excuse the ugly pic, the powdered sugar disappeared but this is from overnight in the fridge and it will absolutely be delicious warmed tomorrow with coffee at work. What a treat! Met five friends for brunch. I was the last to arrive and greeter immediately pointed me to where my friends were seated. Server impressed me by not writing a single order down but got every one of them correct...how we each wanted our eggs, sides, extras. Eggs were made exactly the way I requested...over medium, solid white, runny yolk. I rarely need to add salt and pepper when I dine out but I had to...so depending on your preference this could be a good or bad thing. One thing I didn't care for at all is they cut open and toast biscuits. The butter they put on did not taste fresh at all. Unfortunately, that stale taste stayed with me for hours. Would have preferred the biscuits right out of the pan. They do have a nice bakery cabinet so even if you don't have time to dine, you can pick up a muffin or piece of pie on your way to work. read more

This has been a staple And one of our favorite places for years, but lately w heave noticed a change in food quality. The eggs Benedict is a favorite...not sure if they ran out of Canadian bacon but it was just some deli meat ham thrown on the bread... also the hollandaise sauce was limited. They changed their breakfast potatoes which were sadly flavorless. We also got the brioche French toast and substituted the eggs for extra meat. I was invited to breakfast here (my first time) recently on a weekday morning around 9 am. Man, was it busy, buuuuut we were immediately greeted and seated by a super nice lady who ended up being our server too. Having never been here before, I was really impressed with the extensive menu. My father and I visited Perkins at his request. I had a bad experience there about a month ago and didn't want to return but he insisted. Not only was the service extremely slow, the food portions have shrunk. Come to find out, we had ordered the Magnificent Seven and was charged for the Magnificent Seven but was only served the Five for five which is one egg, two pancakes, and two pieces of bacon. Price increase three times in last three months on several entrees. Troy, the manager washed back room dining area floor with toxic bleach while guests are dining. Bakery display cases are adorned with insecticide strips to keep insects at bay. The waitstaff turnover is phenomenal. They should install a revolving door. Several waiters are commented to us about management and the franchise owner. Not in a positive vein either, thus, very high turnover of staff. The French toast tasted a little stale (it was chewy) but the biggest thing was the preparation of the French toast. The bread was not soaked all the way through, as you can see in this picture. It was just flopped in there for two seconds and then tossed on the griddle.... if you're going to serve thick French toast, it's gotta be soaked properly. Sooo, where do I start?? It wasn't horrible but definitely not a place I'm going's back to anytime soon. This place has really gone downhill. It was kind of crowded and it was hot. The AC did not seem to be working at all. My waiter was also musty and it's probably because she has to work in such hot conditions. The muffins were not as good as I remember. My food was just ok. I got the Boston Crème Pie pancakes. It was smothered in chocolate but only a dab of crème on the inside. We had to ask for utensils and got them after our food arrived and when I unwrapped it there was a noticeable piece of food already on the fork. Our waitress mentioned something about he dish washing machine but it doesn't matter because someone wrapped it and saw it. I don't suspect this place will be around much longer but I could be wrong...especially since it survived the closure of the sister-location which was in River's Ave and it survived COVID. read more

Service was great, atmosphere was pleasant minus the couple sitting behind behind me with a toddler they allowed to do anything, including blow loud spit bubbles, scratch the silver forks and knives together, yell etc. I have kids that are adults so I've been there somewhat, instead of complaining I put my headphones in and tuned out the noise. The atmosphere again was pleasant, there was a smell to the restaurant, at first u thought it was just me, but then my daughter asked why it smelled weird. I think the carpets or possibly the upholstery on the chairing needs cleaning. Food was decent. I ordered the spinach and mushrooms which came with sautéed tomatoes and large pieces of cut potatoes. I believe the potatoes was fried, everything was cooked well except for the potatoes. They were crunchy and hard, so I ate everything else. The spinach and mushrooms come with egg whites, which I declined. I also ordered buttermilk pancakes which were really good. I would definitely return again for breakfast to try a different dish. The smell of the restaurant wasn't enough to keep me from returning but it is noticeable...it's a scent I can only describe as old. read more
