    Chocolate silk pie.

Perkins is like the All-American diner. Service was good. Restaurant was clean with an average noise level. We went there for pie and coffee. I got the apple caramel pie. My husband got the chocolate silk pie. Both tasted good but the crust was a little under done. Didn't take a picture of my apple pie because it was not picture worthy.

Weight staff was very good very attentive and provided all of our needs. Service.8 out of 10, the quality of food and portions 8 out of 10, atmosphere 7 out of 10. Overall, Perkins is a reliable restaurant for service and quality.

Strawberry Cream Cheese Crisper Tangy, sweet, and savory, this is the perfect dessert or breakfast for the non-dessert person.

I hadn't eaten from Perkins in decades. The location my family used to go to occasionally isn't there anymore, that's how long it's been. But hubby wanted sweets and I wanted a meal, and Ubereats offered up this Perkins and after perusing the menu, the irresistible pie and cake slices drew hubby's eye, and mine stopped at Eggs Benedict. The order was in. The Benedict was so amazing for delivery. The eggs were perfectly cooked, with proud molten yolks atop ready for piercing. The Hollandaise on the side had gone a bit chunky, but I shook up the container and it poured on the glory. The hashbrowns were not good. They were bitter like old grease. I drowned them in the rest of the Hollandaise and ketchup and ate them because I hate to waste food. My side of a muffin I intended for breakfast the next morning was not in the order. We'll blame Ubereats and not my driver, but my husband's Peanut Butter Silk pie also did not arrive, and my driver was chubby LOL Ubereats made it right and luckily hubby's Chocolate Overload cake arrived and was so rich and deep with flavor he didn't need the pie. I also got the Strawberry and Cream Cheese Crispers, and while the menu picture showed 3, only 2 were in the box. But they were pleasantly warm, savory-sweet, the perfect dessert for a non-dessert person. I left one for hubby but if he doesn't eat it, it's my breakfast for work tomorrow, since I missed out on the muffin this morning. Excuse the ugly pic, the powdered sugar disappeared but this is from overnight in the fridge and it will absolutely be delicious warmed tomorrow with coffee at work. What a treat! Not perfect, but I would order again. Those EGGS! Chef kisses to the chef!

I'm not sure why this place is not rated higher. The place is clean and the service is always great. It's a chain but it's a good breakfast spot with big portions for a good price. I really enjoy the omelettes. The giant muffins are a must takeout!

Met five friends for brunch. I was the last to arrive and greeter immediately pointed me to where my friends were seated. Server impressed me by not writing a single order down but got every one of them correct...how we each wanted our eggs, sides, extras. Eggs were made exactly the way I requested...over medium, solid white, runny yolk. I rarely need to add salt and pepper when I dine out but I had to...so depending on your preference this could be a good or bad thing. One thing I didn't care for at all is they cut open and toast biscuits. The butter they put on did not taste fresh at all. Unfortunately, that stale taste stayed with me for hours. Would have preferred the biscuits right out of the pan. They do have a nice bakery cabinet so even if you don't have time to dine, you can pick up a muffin or piece of pie on your way to work.

This has been a staple And one of our favorite places for years, but lately w heave noticed a change in food quality. The eggs Benedict is a favorite...not sure if they ran out of Canadian bacon but it was just some deli meat ham thrown on the bread... also the hollandaise sauce was limited. They changed their breakfast potatoes which were sadly flavorless. We also got the brioche French toast and substituted the eggs for extra meat. Always great service and they definitely get busy in the mornings. They do have some incredible sweet tea.

First time here. I had the Steak & Peppers Skillet and it was a lot better than I expected. The steak was very good and went well with the mushroom and potatoes. We came where with a very large group and the staff was nice and on top of things.

Perkins Restaurant & Bakery on Old Trolley Road in Summerville is a great place to go for good quality food in a relaxed and family atmosphere. This Perkins has been consistent in their quality throughout the years and is always has delicious and well prepared food. I like getting their breakfast items during all times of the day and their sandwiches. Their bakery items are also good and I always seem to get some muffins, cookies, and pies on the way out. They have excellent service here and treat everyone really well and make sure that you have everything that you need. They are well worth a visit for good food and good people.

I'd begin by raving about the appearance of the place, but we didn't get through the door before the first person, and quickly the second, greeted us with a cheery hello. Whoa! The interior is warm, welcoming, and lovely. Water and coffee arrived immediately, followed by the first welcomer who was ready to take our orders. The food arrived quickly, was beautifully plated, and delicious. The continuously refilled coffee was deliciously addictive and worthy on its own of multiple return visits. But even without that scrumptious caffeine, we'd return daily if we had less self control! Thank you to all who contributed to such a wonderful experience!

This time we climbed to the second floor to find a table at what I would describe as the most inviting bar in the South due to the eclectic decor and the appearance of the bar itself with dozens of upside down bottles hanging from the ceiling that at first I thought they were there just to decorate the place but nooo! they actually poured the specialty bourbon we ordered which BTW was very good and was only 90 proof which was a very nice match to my Yingling, we spent about two hours there and not because the service was slow but because we were having a good time, at times was a little loud but my out of town friends truly enjoyed the kind of place, they said that next time they come to town they would like to come back to the very same table. The conversation and good times is what kept me from taking a picture of the dishes I ordered the Cajun Pasta, was absolutely delicious and will order again the next time I go back, wife ordered the Pecan pork chops and said it was made with her cravings in mind I won't be waiting for out of towners to come in order to go back, this has become my most trusted and preferred Southern restaurant in Chucktown/Summerville area, no questions and way better than any distant second best that we have been, make it 8 stars! I have difficulty with steps but there were enough railings to make it navigable for me. The building was likely to have at one time been a small house. There were six of us in our party and we were initially told we would be sharing one bill and the gratuity would be automatically added. A couple of our folks expressed concern and intentionally ordered cheaper items and no drinks to make sure they had adequate funds to split the bill. Fortunately our waitress, who was a joy, did individual bills and did not put on an automatic gratuity. The policy had the potential to seriously reduce the restaurant's income. They should probably rethink this stance. As noted, our waitress was terrific and rapidly got drink and food orders sorted. The menu is pretty short, but probably a good choice for a small pub type restaurant. My wife and I both selected an on-tap local brew, both of which were good and reasonably priced. We both also selected the fish and chips. The order came with a side of cole slaw that was pleasant. The chips were obviously made on site and both properly cooked and well seasoned. We are always surprised at restaurants that serve obviously bagged and frozen fries. The fish itself was reasonably sized and nicely fried. Quite tasty, but we sort of expected good seafood as this is a sister restaurant to a local seafood establishment. For the price the portion sizes of all the meals at the table seemed just a bit small. So we will quite likely return. It's not fancy. It's not high end dining. It's a tad pricey for pub food, but overall pretty good. I note here that had our waitress not been a gem or had they enforced the one check policy, this review would have been a good deal more negative. I suspect they have an accessible entrance but it was not obvious. That may be a consideration for some and checking ahead of time would be prudent.
