    Korean cheeseteak
    Jared G.

This cheesesteak was so good. We ordered from Fred's meat&bread and got a collect cheesesteaks. The Korean cheesesteak was just spicy enough but not too spicy. You can tell they mixed everything together so you got all the flavors in every bite. I suggest not getting the garlic fries if you have a date later in the day. It is super garlicky but delicious. They could be crispier but we also got them to go so they could have gotten soggy in travel. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a great cheesesteak

So far I have had 2 meals from them from Tejas and Chios Taverna. This is for Chios Taverna. Delivery was relatively fast, and the food itself was really good quality. It was fresh and had a good taste as if it were from a higher end restaurant.

I have been wanting to check this place out for a while as it's new to Hoboken. I was also curious about the concept & all the restaurants that it has, something like 23 restaurants which all the food is prepared in a central kitchen. So, I ordered on the app for immediate pick up, you can also select a time slot to pick up. Pretty seamless either way lots of choices. I decided on Hanu Poke Restaurant, & ordered poke bowls and a cookie. The poke bowls looked incredibly fresh, & they were! Nice & tasty. I will be back again.

Alanza Pepperoni pizza that had like 5 pieces of pepperoni

I have now eaten 4 times. Likely would have given it 4 stars based on 1st 3 but 4th time was 2 stars if generous as pizza barely had pepperoni and pasta was so dente could barely eat it. Chicken parm was okay. Previous visits had decent pork from the marc murphy menu and the agrodolce chicken and side of pasta from alanza was good. With so many items from different menu types they are bound to mess up some items.

Very interesting concept and honestly I don't know how they do it. They have an assortment of heavy hitter restaurants from our the country and you can order from any of them. I tried the bbq spot and loved the pastrami sandwich. The ribs were just ok. The cornbread was my favorite. Also tried Mrs D fried chicken and thought it was decent. Michael symons spot was good. So cool that you can order from multiple places in the same order for no extra fee. I am interested in trying more of the options. So cool.

    Chicken taco

After seeing only bad reviews, I was surprised to have a great experience and tasty food. I got Dana's Rice Krispie bar and omg I could eat one of these with every meal it was so sweet and amazing. The portions of the tacos were incredible - one of them felt like a burrito! The chicken was really tender and seasoned well. I keep receiving promotions to go here, until they disappoint I will keep returning and will be happy to do so!

    Di Fara vodka pizza
    Mike H.

Small ghost kitchen for 21 different restaurants with about 4 small tables in an office building. Bright new clean spot. Ordered Di Fara Sicilian square vodka pizza and Yasas pita and tzatziki to hit the $30 min spend to get the $10 new customer promo. The Di Fara pizza was not as good as folks say the original location is, but it was still good overall. The portion size, temperature, and taste were great. The vodka sauce tasted good, and 3 of the 8 total slices was a very filling meal. The main complaint was that the cheese would slide off altogether sometimes. Napoli's vodka pizza is worlds better, but this is good too. 8/10 pizza. The pita ($0.95) and tzatziki ($3) were bad value because the pita was one round piece about 4 inches in diameter and the tzatziki was in a little container about double the size of a dipping sauce cup. Got a Chipotle-style burrito bowl ($10.45) from Limesalt and carrot soufflé ($6) from Fred's Meat & Bread. The bowl was decent quality and filling, although the portion was smaller than classic Chipotle. However, it was cost effective. The soufflé had the taste and texture of custard, so I loved it. I'd get the soufflé again, but I'd rather try something more exciting than the burrito bowl.

    Boneless Pork Chop

What a fantastic solution to a long recognized issue! What if I want more for my family than one menu!!

We went for dinner and as a group of two tried tacos from Ploo, a margherita slice from Honey Pie Pizza, the pernil scallion pancake burrito from Forsyth Fire Escape, the pad see ew from Kinn thai and the chicken donor kebab sandwich from Kotti Berliner Doner Kebab. The tacos and burrito were definitely the best things were tried and were so good I would come back here just to get them again. We ordered one steak and one al pastor taco from Ploo. The tacos were small, but bursting with flavor. The tortilla gets a little wet from the sauce, so eat them quickly or use the fork they give you. They are a little pricey for the size ($5-6 each), but worth it. We loved both. The pernil scallion pancake burrito is as good as everyone says it is and deserves the hype. Extremely flavorful and I liked the mix of ingredients (I didn't think the queso frito (which is basically a mozzarella stick), would go, but I was wrong). My only minor comment since I like spicy food, is it could use a touch more heat. I want to try other things on their menu now since the burrito was so tasty. The doner kebab was very good (we have had it before at other locations) and a good size. The pizza and pad see ew were just okay (I found both to be lacking in flavor) and I would not feel the need to get either again. For whatever reason, it seemed like most things/entrees (beside the slice of pizza and a taco) were $16. So with tip and tax expect most things to cost you $20. The venue is spacious and they have a bunch of events during the week, we happened to be there on salsa night. Worth checking out for a quick bite or meal.

I rarely went home invoking a strong enthusiastic response to come back to eat something again. Their strong suite was location, space, and variety. What I loved most--besides having a reliable bathroom in Midtown--was what it became for the people around it. It was a place where office workers could decompress after work, grab a beer with coworkers, or catch up with friends they hadn't seen in a while. There was something refreshing about the atmosphere. People seemed relaxed and unguarded, shedding the polished professional persona they'd worn all day. It felt like watching the city exhale for a little while. And another thing I appreciated was their attempt to represent different nationalities under one roof. The more common items performed the worse and that's probably when you come to a space dedicated to hawker style cuisine, you expect to try some of their more novel stuff like Coffee Pork Fried Rice (from a stall that specialized in fried rice) or Noodles in Bechamel. I also frequently enjoyed their only drinks provider for the best Yuen Yang I've ever had. The method for making them seems theatrical at first but when you've had one that wasn't properly aerated, you truly taste the chalky bitter tannins. It was a good thing there was an experience worker there (possibly the owner). I write about ordering a ton of food, joke once again that I'll have to start that diet very, very soon and bemoan those days long past when I used to eat like Art Carney's Ed Norton and drink like Ralph Kramden's Jackie Gleason and never gain a pound. Well, that "very, very soon" diet has finally, belatedly, become a reality. A few weeks ago, I went to my pulmonologist, and I weighed more than I ever have in my life. It shouldn't have been a shock, but it was...a bit. I talked with my oldest friend, who is my age (I'm older by 3 months), and he weighs what he weighed in high school. I don't think that's going to happen to me, but I'm thinking if I really seriously diet and lose the excess weight, maybe I can reverse or at least ameliorate some of these medical issues I've been dealing with lately. As my friend said, "At the very least, you'll feel a lot better." So... I'm trying. In the past few weeks, I've managed to lose 15 pounds. I don't think I'm going to make high school weight (which, if I remember right, was in the 190's), but I've got a good momentum going, and I'm committed to seeing where it will lead. What possible relevance does all that have to a review of Teri Teri Japanese Restaurant in Union City? It means I'm not going to be reviewing the appetizer, or the soup, or the large, spicy meal, or the rich desert, or the headache-inducing-but-soul-satisfying Coconut Bubble Tea. In other words, I'm going to eat moderately and healthily, and the review will reflect that (even if, as is my self-indulgent custom, I'm not writing a review that's moderate or...healthy? No. Let's say moderate, concise and to-the-point). Preamble over. On to the actual review... In the past, the Lunchbox Mafia where I work used to order from Okinawa and I liked their Bento Box. Sadly, they no longer offer the Bento Box, and we haven't ordered from them lately. A few times, though, we've ordered delivery from Teri Teri, and I've been satisfied. The Chicken Combo was a pretty good Bento Box replacement, with soup, salad, rice, tempura, slices of ginger (love 'em!) and a 5-piece California roll (I loathe sushi, but I can handle the California roll). Recently, the Lunchbox Mafia was going to order from Teri Teri, asked if I wanted to join them, and I checked out the menu-- and it was certainly a novel experience for me, perusing the items offered for "healthy choices." I decided on the Salmon Plate, which came with salad and rice. Delivery was quick and the prices seemed reasonable. I can't remember what The New Godfather of Lunch or Sir Cheapness (former Godfather of Lunch) ordered, but I had 2 very large pieces of perfectly cooked Salmon, and a massive pile of rice, which I picked at sparingly. The Salmon was delicious and very filling all on its own. And the salad was comprised of quality lettuce (it has always been my experience that if you receive a salad made up chiefly of Iceberg lettuce, you're eating at a cheap...in terms of quality, not necessarily price...restaurant). Once my heart had recovered from the unexpected shock of my healthy eating, I imagined I could hear it offer up a faint but...dare I say it?..."heartfelt" paen of thanks to whatever God or Gods exist that I've finally...at long last... changed my ways? (I think my liver offered up that same paen of thanks when I stopped the drinking and the opioids). In any event, all of my usual verbose nonsense aside, I've liked what I've had from here, and whether your tastes run to heavy, spicy meals or more healthful alternatives when it comes to Japanese cuisine, Teri Teri is highly recommended.

Teri Teri Means Terrible Times Two! Plus $65 tab to complete…read morethe formula! I am always wary of trying Asian food in Union City but once again, I gave in to my Asian stomach without using any logic and intellect. New Jersey is a big state so I hesitate to throw all NJ Asian restaurants in the garbage, but it's easier to go back to my beloved Chinatown than to drive hours to a reputable and honorable place within NJ. Upon entering, the place felt unclean and neglected, already a sign of the doom ahead. We ordered the "combo" or in a real Japanese place, called a bento; one salmon and one mackerel. When the plates arrived, I could not suppress my surprise, which burst out in the form of uncontrollable laughter. The enormous plates were filled with rice and on one sad side, was a small piece of dry fish. Then, the rest of the "combo" came later, the tempura in boxes and the California roll on another plate. My companion wanted tempura sauce, but I told him that they would be very confused. And I was right, the server had no idea what it was. Chicken wings were chicken wings, nothing to remark about, except that I suspect they are always frozen, with a good margin for the restaurant. I am surprised that there is another location on Bergenline because what type of a lunatic would think that this unforgivable menu and cooking deserve two locations? I understand that the population is mostly latino in the area but it is a shame that they are introduced to Asian cuisine in such a deplorable and degraded manner.
