I am new to the area, was looking for a hair person to get highlights /cut. I called numerous salons, had a few questions in regards to products usage/pricing, I have a health condition which limits me of the kind of products that can be used, some salons were not very helpful with their response, and others were not very honest about their prices. I called Hue, a very nice gentleman (can't recall his name) answered the phone, I express my concerns to him, right away he knew who to refer me to, so I scheduled with Jenna, she is wonderful, she listened very carefully to my concerns/request. She is friendly, outgoing and keeps you engaged, I dislike when hairstylist ignore you or don't try to get to know you, not Jenna, she made me feel super comfortable/special. I loved the way my hair turned out, I especially liked how Jenna made sure I was happy with the end result! So, if you're looking for a hairstylist I 100% recommend Jenna at Hue Salon. The one thing I don't like is parking , hard to find and you have to pay :( but that's not their doing, sad that even they have to pay for parking!! read more

These guys know their hues. A bit on the spends side but if you have to get the color right, they're worth trying. Also conveniently located next to nektar and a cafe and a new wine tasting room. Only bummer is parking can be hard and 2:20 may or may not be long enough. read more

Not to be dramatic, but Emily's razor haircut WILL change your life. She is wildly talented and understands hair better than anyone I've met. Her process is unparalleled and I am so thankful I found her. I've always been someone with "heavy hair" and it just sort of hangs or goes flat once I've styled it. I was referred to Kallie W and Hue Salon by a coworker, and though I trust my coworker, my previous experience left me guarded and very anxious to let anyone near my hair again. During the lockdowns in 2020, I took a chance on one of the only salons that was open and let's just say my experience was rough and my hair was disastrous. Hue Salon and Kallie W renewed my trust in salons and hairdressers in general. My experience with Kallie was so so great! The conversation about the cut and color was detailed and Kallie asked all the right questions, listened to my wants and concerns, and somehow through the nonsense that came out of my mouth was able to do exactly what I wanted. The whole process felt so comfortable and I was ready to fall asleep in the chair! Kallie was gentle with my hair throughout and was insanely attentive to me... she even ran out and put more quarters in my parking meter (a literal angel)! Kallie is super fun and energetic, making for great natural flowing conversation... it helps that our personalities are similar. In short, I am extremely happy with the outcome of my hair and will absolutely be coming back to Kallie and Hue Salon and recommending them to EVERYONE. read more

All I can say is WOW!! I moved to Boise 5 years ago from California and needless to say it's taken that long to find someone so brilliant and amazing the first try. Tory Still was absolutely amazing. I booked an appointment with her and within an hour and 40 mins my hair dreams came true! She consulted with me and we got on the same page. I got out of the bowl from being washed and i knew instantly I'd love the color. She did a highlight/toner. Talk about an unreasonable and unwelcoming experience! I had a 3 1/2 hour time slot booked with Jacy. I live about 2 1/2 hours away from Hue and unfortunately was running 30 minutes late due to unforeseen road construction. Of course, I completely understand that there is a 15 minute grace period and afterwards a client must reschedule. I'm sure that policy is put in place for consideration of others and to not backlog the entire day. I would never ask to interfere with another clients or stylists time. When I called to explain my tardiness, the receptionist told me Jacy was uncomfortable because she had another client booked after right after me. Ok, I get it! When I asked when her next appointment was and if she was doubled booked, I was informed, no, she reserved the entire time for me and her next appointment by the time of my late arrival, was 3 hours out!! I again apologized and asked if Jacy would please be willing to only cut my hair instead of the highlights and cut. The receptionist informed me that although I had a long time slot and Jacy was technically available, I violated the policy and no Jacy would not see me now. At this point I was a few minutes away. Logically this doesn't make sense. If she has time but won't see me because of policy and I'm a new client and she would be losing money....I don't get it. I have been a client to some "Diva" hairstylists (literally celebrity hairstylists that feel it is a privilege to sit in their chair) and have never experienced anything like this! At best, I feel like I was treated unfairly but quite frankly I think it was mean. read more

From box black to matching a pale auburn root I posted on fb if it couldnt be done I didnt want to try but this stylist proceeded to tell me ANYTHING to get me into her chair. It was supposed to be a multi session appt which is why she still got paid. Having me leave with still wet hair so I couldn't fully assess it until i got home. Once I did I immediately messaged Beatrice, my stylist. The stylist did not follow the consultation, fried all my hair off to the point of stretching, refused me a refund, said toning it lighter would take the black band out and magically make all 4 colors in my hair match. Refused to admit she compromised my hair even after showing her evidence. Told me I was fake crying. Stomped and growled at me. Told me she would "take reprocussions of asking me to leave" when I told her I cannot look in a mirror without crying and didn't spend 425.00 to hate myself. Told me my hair looked bad before she touched it. Stylist beatrice even deleted her fb after I went back to the salon upset with the results. I have tried contacting the owner over the course of 5 days on 3 different platforms (email fb and phone) and cannot get her to contact me back. I don't recommend this salon to ANYONE. They will ruin your hair and take no action to rectify it. I am filing a complaint with the board of educators and seeking legal rectification. If the owner sees this you've got fb messages a voice-mail and emails waiting for you. You should never allow your stylists to behave like that. I am mortified and repulsed. I have been crying for a week and can't even fix my hair because of the damage. 0 stars. Worst experience of my life. read more
