In the past I've had others (at another practice) who would lay their fingers on my mouth, lips, or jaw and apply some pressure to keep their hands steady while cleaning my teeth-that pressure usually makes me uncomfortable as that's a lot of weight. Luckily she does not, I came in got my stuff done quickly, and nicely. Scheduling my 6 months was a breeze-Love it here. And hubby if you're reading this no cavities, or issues. Six months ago: Another successful check up and cleaning! Look hubby no cavities. No one likes the reminders about flossing but keeping good dental hygiene is flat out important. Cyndi Chen and staff really put in the effort to make it a quick and painless visit for their patients. I guess I'm starting to sound like an advertisement-I've been seeing them so long I can't imagine going elsewhere. I started seeing them with a full mouth of cavities like 8-9 years ago, and with their help I've been able to have healthy useful dental hygiene. I have my teeth what more can I ask for?

Very disappointing experience after years with this office…read more Our family had been patients at this dental office for several years, so we were especially disappointed by our recent experience. After a crown was replaced for a family member, the patient experienced ongoing pain and inflammation. When we compared the old crown with the new one, the new crown appeared significantly longer than the original. We were not informed before the procedure about this significant change in the crown or the potential risks and complications associated with it. We contacted the office because of the continuing problems. We were initially told that the crown could be redone, but the office later refused to redo it and instead offered a referral for surgery to reduce the affected area. What was most disappointing was how our concerns were handled. We expected the office, particularly Dr. Chen as the owner, to take the patient's ongoing pain seriously and provide a clear explanation and reasonable solution. Instead, we felt that responsibility for addressing the problem was shifted to another procedure. she initially offered to refund the crown cost, then later she rejected to refund. A dishonest and careless provider. I will suggest you avoid this dentist office.

After having gone through a very challenging and drawn-out divorce, as well as having a series of childhood dental traumas, I had avoided going to the dentist for far too long. The moment I stepped into Dr. Indah's calming Sunnyvale office, I exhaled. The healing energy of her space spoke to me. The tension I have carried in my jaw and teeth has been traumatic, and I was immediately met with EFT tapping and relaxation therapies. I appreciated Dr. Indah's honesty and expert advice in her conservative and holistic approach. I have had far too many traumatic experiences of dentists doing too aggressive of therapies without much regard to anything other than their business. This office was not that whatsoever. I went to Dr. Tao because she is a biomimetic dentist and I was looking for one. I cannot speak for…read moreher work because I'm not a dentist myself but her bedside manners are NOT good. I went for a wisdom tooth filling and she ended up doing more fillings that were not urgent or required. My other dentist had given me a fluoride toothpaste to remove the decay on those teeth, just a few days before, which Dr. Tao unexpectedly filled. Had I known Dr. Tao was going to do the fillings on those teeth, I would have said no. But she did NOT ask for my consent. She just did the fillings and then told me about them afterwards. I told the office about it and made it very clear that I need clear communication about the work that needs to be done before I sit on the dental chair. And the next time, the front desk told me I'll need a crown and 2 fillings (near the crown tooth). My crown appointment was a week after the cleaning. So, I expect Dr. Tao to have told me all the work I needed on my teeth during the cleaning. But the same thing happened the next time. Half way through the crown appointment, she tells me I need 4 different fillings on the opposite side of the crown tooth. I was shocked as this was not told to me a week before during the cleaning. I was skeptical and told her I need to think about it. She said, you have time in between your crown appointment when your crown is getting ready and your insurance will cover 2 more fillings. This was shocking to hear! Nobody gets fillings done because they have time and insurance will cover it. I took my time to decide and did not want to be pressurized. She tried to persuade me by showing me the teeth in a mirror. But I am no expert to take a call and we all trust the dentist to do their job. She once again asked me after a while if I wanted to get it done and I decided to trust her one more time. But guess what, half way through drilling the cavity tooth, she tells me she needs to use ozone gas which will cost extra! At that point, when your tooth is halfway drilled through, you don't have a choice but to accept it! I'm glad I said yes to filling just one tooth. Nonetheless, that experience wasn't good. They even dropped my crown on the floor before fixing it on me. I don't know if they sterilized and sanitized the crown before putting it in my mouth. And I wouldn't describe the whole process as either compassionate or gentle. After all this, it is hard to trust Dr. Tao! She kept springing surprises on me even after being very clear and specific on the communication I expect. She seems to maximize her profits and income from her patients. And she chooses her moment carefully when they are on the dental chair and vulnerable. That is awful! They are my teeth and not a play toy!

She suffers from severe Dental trauma and PTSD just like I do. When I told her my problem, she said Dr Senft DDS is fantastic at what he does. He is kind, patient, listens when she has concerns. She was right!! Dr Senft is kind, direct and is super transparent. He has prompt, efficient appointments *and* his shots are not that painful, super magical! Only be a 1,-3 on the pain scale. His office staff is very friendly, welcoming and there's lots of natural light. He and his staff are kind, respectful and accommodating. There's no smell of novocaine, no screaming, and he keeps a a great selection of mellow classic rock songs playing in the background every time I've been so far. Today was my second visit, and it was fantastic! Seriously, he fixed cavities in five of my teeth in just a few hours. And for a reasonable price! So already, this is shaping up to be pretty great! Dr. Senft himself is a genuinely kind dentist, knows very well what he is doing, and wants to help his patients not just collect a paycheck. He does not rush things, but he moves quickly, which tells me he knows exactly what he's doing. Two of the last dentists I saw told me I needed a crown on my front left incisor. I didn't understand why because it was just cracked. Dr Senft took one look at the tooth in question then asked , "Why do you need a crown? I can fix that for you today - t'll be fine.! He did an awesome job! And now I don't have to hide my smile when I do my sales job. This is great! I'm already feeling the change in earnings. I have major PTSD, Post traumatic stress disorder as well as Panic Attack and generalized anxiety disorder. The cause was mostl a *bad* dentist my mom forced me to go to as a kid. My childhood Dr (Dr Y for short) was *painful*, he stretched my lips until they bled because his fingers a were so big he could not work on my mouth without doing it. He also hurt my jaw on numerous occasions by forcing it open too far. His office reeked of novocaine. Dr Y's shots were an eight or nine on the pain scale and I screamed snd crird even though I do have a high pain tolerance. After a while my pediatric dentist started bringing me into a separate soundproof room so the other victims...aka patients couldn't hear me screaming. He also very securely strapped me into that chair although I have not and never will be a violent person nor ever hit anybody.. I don't think that's legal honestly but, that was in the 1980s When I turned 18 naturally I chose to go to different dentist. . For the last 38 years, whenever I have visited a dentist, my body goes into fight or flight (panic mode). I immediately soak with a large layer of sweat. I have literally soaked seven dentist chairs by this point (45/f now). I've had several dentists remark that they've never seen anything like it. Yeah, that pediatric dentist Dr Y tortured me. I've been bringing a large cotton towel to place on the dental chair to absorb my sweat. I almost always also have to change my clothes after my appointments too. Omg. Today was my second visit at Dr Semft's office and I barely sweated! This is huge. Based on poor advice of my mother, who said that getting an implant was easier than getting a crown, I chose to have my Rt incisor removed 5 years ago and an implant put in its place. Big mistake. The guy was a well-known very experienced oral surgeon, he removed my tooth wonderfully, but he did not pack the bone enough in my jaw. He did apologize to me. When I came back, he said he would have to reopen my jaw, pack more bone in there, then let it heal, and then he can finally place the post. I was just not okay with that. Dr Senft said that he would be as painless and as efficient as possible, and I believe him. 10/10. I almost hate to write this review because I'm afraid that now his calendar will be more booked, but he deserves our full props. And you deserve a kind dentist who will treat you well. Thanks again Dr Senft!! I'll be back!

Ryan is an artist as well as a dentist. he made my new crown right there in the office in about 45 minutes. it is so beautiful that i asked if i could take a picture of it. I am hone right now and my appt was 7 hours ago. i feel great with no pain. Thank You for the Great service and see you in 6 months.

We have full confidence in her judgment. She took a special effort to squeeze me into her busy schedule when I needed a procedure before going out of town, and minimized paperwork. And she has maintained very careful Covid protections, such that none of her patients or staff have gotten sick from the office. My wife and I heartily recommend Dr Gong!
