Anyways, a few days went by, which allowed me some time to think about the purchase, and that's when I realized that I should call to cancel the service for right now and request a refund. I get work done at LaserAway all of the time, so I could come back at a later time to book something else if I choose to. Anyways, I spoke with a representative about canceling my appointment and to request a refund. The rep. reassured me that a refund was possible as well since I did not use the service at all, but she told me that I would need to speak with Amanda since it was her that scheduled the appointment. I then spoke with Amanda to cancel the appointment and to request a refund. Amanda told me that she can give me store credit, but not a refund. I asked why she didn't tell me about the no refund policy before charging my card and she really had nothing to say about it. Overall, this is horrible customer service! I apologized for the misunderstanding and explained that I thought the white was just the base color that would be painted over. After that, I felt uncomfortable with how my service was handled. While doing my cuticle work, the technician nicked my skin twice, and toward the end of the service seemed to be digging the cuticle cutter into my fingers more aggressively. I brought the cuts to management's attention before leaving. I also had concerns about the pricing. My total was $122, and I was told I was receiving a $7 discount, bringing the total to $115. However, the salon advertises a cash discount, and when I offered to pay cash, I was told I could not receive the cash discount because I was already receiving the $7 discount from fingers being cut. This was confusing and did not feel transparent. To be fair, I do like how my nails turned out, and I tipped both technicians because I appreciated the work that was done. However, customer service and professionalism are just as important as the final result. I have experienced similar issues here before, and after this visit I don't feel comfortable returning. I've included photos of the cuts on my fingers as well as the finished nails so others can make their own judgment.
