Before visiting the salon, I doubted the true benefits of the Huetiful hair steamer. But after three appointments over six weeks, I have seen a major difference in my hair. My hair retains moisture, holds curls better, and is easier to stretch. Kristina is my stylist. She takes the time to explain what she is doing to my hair, and makes recommendations on how I can care for my hair between appointments. HORRIBLE first time experience! I visited this salon for the first time a few weeks ago. I had an appointment with Chi. To begin with she was late (to be fair she did communicate to let me know she was running behind schedule - I on the otherhand was 20 minutes early) but it's still unacceptable to be 20 minutes late for your appt whether you are delivering or receiving a service. Upon arrival, we had a quick consultation to discuss my needs and desired hairstyle. Immediately upon inspection of my hair she wanted to press the nano-smoothing treatment (I have natural hair kinky/coily type) and how it would make my hair more manageable and how it wasn't a chemical - lies! I refused and we continued. She first detangled my hair while shampoo was still in it, secondly she was extremely rough with my hair when finger coiling and when I told her it was a bit bothersome all she said was sorry and that it's because of my ends - lies. She also told me to "hold my head tight" while she further combed my hair. I swear I've never once been told to hold my head tight while a stylist combed the life out of my hair - I should have walked out of the chair at that moment, but decided to stay - dumb I know. When she was finished, she placed me under the dryer and when I came out I completely hated my hair! I looked like Coolio. She proceeded to untwist my hair and when I turned around I was not pleased. I expressed my dissatisfaction and she had the nerve to tell me that you will adjust it's just too fresh. So I said cool - can we perhaps pin it up because the way it is I don't like it. NOW GET THIS.....she said I can't pin it up but you can because if I do it - I'll have to charge you! WHAT THE HELL! You mean to tell me I expressed I was unhappy with a style you created and you won't fix it to a point where I'm happy to walk outside. I was so heated I paid the 100 and something dollars and walked out when I should have asked for a refund!!!!!! My hair honestly looked better when I came in then when I left. This is the reason I don't go to salons - completely unprofessional and could care less about the client experience. I will never visit this salon again and will follow my number one rule of never letting someone do my hair when their hair is a hot mess. read more

DO NOT LET JACKIE CUT YOUR HAIR. I went to Jackie as a new client in Sept and not only did she cut off over 5 inches of my hair when all I asked for a trim (no it was not severely damaged) but she cut it so uneven I had to get it recut by another hair stylist. There was no shape whatsoever. She seeming tried to add layers I ended up with my hair being so uneven and completely destroyed. It was the worst salon experience of my life. read more

I always come to Ms. Audree. She is most careful with my delicate tresses. Natural hair is not consistent and I need a stylist that cares for my hair as much as I do and treats it as if it's her own hair. Under her care my hair has blossomed. She listens and provides feedback on my home hair care. The Nano Smoothing Treatment is great for my multi-textured hair. I try to be consistent with the treatments every three to five months. read more

I have visited Huetiful Salon a few times, and have had great experiences each time. This time was a little more stressful, because it was for a wedding and there were time restraints. I recommend calling the salon and getting clarification on the services before scheduling. I scheduled a silk press, but instead needed to schedule an up-do because of the extra time it takes (more than an hour and a half). So FYI: if you schedule a silk press, you will not get a style just your hair straightened. I had Chi Lowe this particular time, and I was so stressed about making it to the wedding on time, but she worked with me and I have to thank her and the client she had after me for allowing me to get extra time (which ran into her next appointment) so I could make it to the wedding with an up-do the bride wanted!! However, the price was expensive. $130 for a bun! I didn't mind paying that much at the time because of my situation and her working so hard to make sure I walked out looking good! But I probably wouldn't go again for anything other than a silk press. read more

This was my second visit at the Huetiful Hair Salon and I'm so in love with my hair right now. I've been dealing with a lot of breakage over the last few years and with my wedding really close, I decided to stop with the relaxers and grow out my natural hair. My hair has been braided or twisted for the last 6 months so I have a considerable amount of growth. My stylist, Audree, was so personable and amazing. We talked about what was going on with my hair and what options I had. My first visit, I just got a silk press and a cut and my hair was amazing. I didn't know what to expect but I was blown away over how straight she go it as well as how soft and healthy it looked. She was not scissor happy and extremely knowledgeable. Today, we did the Nano Straightening System and again, I was blown away. I love how my hair looks and feels. I only have a couple of inches of relaxed hair left and I'm excited about the health of my hair. I'm so happy I found this salon and Audree is the truth! My hair held up really well and Georgia humidity is no joke. My relaxed hair didn't even last this long. I would recommend this salon and Audree to anyone and everyone. read more

Don't go. First stylist ruined my hair with bad color. Her attitude is also awful. Second stylist was ok and tried to fix it. But over time she became rude and was often late. I complained to management and she cancelled my appointment saying it conflicted with another. She was lying. They are often late but will cancel your appointment or charge you if you're late. read more

I got a Deva cut by LaShea. She did a great job, listening to what I asked for and taking her time with my curls. Not only did she give me a great cut, but she was also so sweet, educational, and uplifting in her conversation. If I'm ever in Atlanta again I'll definitely be back. read more

I had great service from top to bottom! I walked in and Lashea was prompt and courteous. I had a press, steam, and cut. Every product and step was carefully and patiently explained. I have been to Huetiful salon in ATL twice and got a silk press. The first time i went, i had a little heat damage and i wasn't too upset. However, this time around, i experienced heat damager all over! i literally cried and still crying. I went to Huetiful for a silk press and a hair steam treatment, but was pleasantly surprised with the knowledge and quality of service I received. I was serviced by Dominique and this girl knows her stuff! She educated me on the importance of keeping your hair properly trimmed, gave great tips on moisturizing, and ingrediants to stay away from in hair products. Then she slayed my hair to the heavens. I was absolutely feeling myself once Dominique was finished with my wash, steam, trim, and silk press. Price is just right and I enjoyed the one on one experience I was able to have with my stylist. I have booked my next appointment for the same service in 2 months. I had my consultation and hair cut with Dominique. She was truly an amazing professional. I haven't been in a salon and have not gotten a haircut in 5 years due to bad experiences. I had split ends and uneven hair growing ever which way. She recommended a hair cut and said I'd be good I didn't need treatments or nada ( so she didn't try to sponge money outta me) . I agreed it was time to let go of length and have perfect curls. She did a bomb job on my cut. She knew I was scared the entire time and sometimes I didn't trust the process. It was short it wasn't as full...until she styled it. And man I almost cried from happiness. Yes it's shorter then I want but y'all I have healthy uniform bouncy beautiful curls! And the haircut made my hair even more low maintenance all I need is a water bottle some water and a leave in and go about my day when before I had to wash my hair everyday for it to act right or wear it in a bun! I had a terrible experience and definitely will not be back. They detangle the hair with shampoo and I could literally hear my hair ripping. Then, they apply their deep conditioner without sectioning the hair. My hair is very dense, so I am CERTAIN that some of my hair was missed. I was sat under their infamous steamer for a little over 10 minutes. That is IT. The steamer doesn't even get hot until after 10 minutes. At this point, I got the sense that the stylist was in a rush to get through the appointment. My hair was rinsed out with cold water which is a big NO-NO for low porosity hair (which I have). My hair instantly tangled. So, my dense hair was blown out tangled with only a light, watery, spray leave-in. YES, a watery leave-in with NO slip. No leave-in, no moisturizer...a spray that might as well have been water. I could tell as she blew it out that she was fighting with my hair and the tangles. It was painful, VERY painful. I know that I got breakage because of all the tugging and snapping. When she was done, my hair felt and looked like STRAW and it was as dry as a bone. I have never been so anxious to get out of a salon and never have I been so nervous over the state of my hair when being seen by a 'professional'. When I got home, I IMMEDIATELY clarified my hair and used a protein treatment to counteract some of the breakage I had received. Low and behold, I got heat damage in the front. I will spend the next 6 months trying to repair the damage that I received. I have SO much more to add, but I think that I will leave it here. I would like to add that the lead stylist, LaShea, has an attitude out of this world. As the lead stylist, you would think that she would show the junior-level stylists the value of customer service. Please save yourself the trouble and try another natural hair salon. One that KNOWS natural hair. read more

Wow I am not exaggerating when I say I had the best hair salon experience I have ever had in my life!!! I have tried about 4 salons in Atlanta and have dealt with stylist not starting on time, juggling 2 or 3 clients at the same time, ridiculous wait times but not at huetiful they are incredibly professional. I got a silk press which came with a steam treatment and trim. My stylist was Chi and she was awesome!! She was so sweet and explained everything that she was doing. She didn't juggle me with another client and we started as soon as I got there. My appointment was from 3:30-5:15 on a Friday and I was done at exactly 5:15. I usually spend three hours getting this process done but not at huetiful. The steam treatment was awesome and the fact that it's included in every service is the best! My silk press came out so well and my hair feels soft and amazing. This is now my new go to hair salon I will never settle for less. I have never written a bad review of any establishment, but my service at this facility was exceptionally poor. The stylist was very nice and initially appeared knowledgeable. She suggested a trim to shape up my natural hair. Then she proceeded to part my hair around, leave a long portion in top and literally just chop off the rest without blending in the cut or giving it any kind of style. I went under the dryer with a rod set only in the top of my head, which after drying left the top curly and the bottom looking well...natural. After realizing she should have rolled my whole head, she molded the back down with foam and put me back under the dryer a second time. It looked worse when I came out, so she wet the back, combed it back up and finger curled the back and sides. Finally, after over 4 hours, my hair looked horrible, I had runaway curls in the top, a bad cut, NO style and it was WET in the back. I paid for this service and was asked if I wanted to leave a tip. I guess I could have asked for someone else to style it, but i was a bit scared at that point and I just wanted to get out of there. Fortunately my regular stylist was still in her shop and gracious enough to do a quick fix for me so that I would not have to wear a hat all weekend.
