A huge shoutout to Justin and his amazing team! He had saved me thousands of dollars literally! I'm so incredibly thankful! I had made the mistake of taking my truck to a different shop initially to diagnose my a/c not working they quoted me $2450 to fix my ac after already charging $290.00 for a recharge, Freon and dye. As soon as I brought my truck in today to Justin for a second opinion he got to it immediately. He popped the hood and located the problem right away. It was a $24.50 fix! I cannot stress how thankful and grateful we are to have Justin save the day and my wallet literally! My a/c is blowing ice cold now and I will never take my truck anywhere else! If I could give them negative stars I would. Not only did they overcharge me for looking over a vehicle (and they didn't even do that completely), they over charged and swindled my elderly parents out of money by selling them things the car didn't need. They also replaced parts without consent and then charged for it. The owner admits he "marks parts up at least 100% sometimes more". I don't normally leave reviews, however this place is terrible. It's one thing to try to hustle me, but they did it to my parents in their 60s and made my retired parents upset with an over $600 bill. Their car was brought in for a simple oil change. Unacceptable. I'm considering reporting them to the better business bureau. read more

I was quoted $105/hr labor to install a downpipe on my car. Even though it took 56 minutes they charged me for 2.5 hours of labor.

On the evening before Thanksgiving, I stopped at Aldi to get some last-minute things. When I came out my car wouldn't start even after a jump. When I called AAA they recommended Huff's. When i called, Bobbie offered to walk over & take a look. The tow truck moved my vehicle the 500 feet or so to Huff's. They stayed late to put a new starter in my car, even though i was not a regular customer. Yet that is. This morning I took my 2008 Nissan Versa into the Nissan dealership in Brandon for an oil change and because it was making a very loud noise/rattling. I normally don't get my oil changed at a dealership, but because of the noise I thought it would be a good idea to take it there plus it's very close by. Now, when I got there they were great. They listened to me and I explained that my car sounded more like my husband's sports car with an aftermarket exhaust on it - not the way my car should sound - and so I thought it was likely an issue with the muffler. I was thinking that maybe I'd hit a bump on a road and popped something loose. I dropped my car off and did a little research on issues with my make and model. Apparently the metal used for the exhaust and muffler has a tendency to rust over (which is an issue in and of itself) and people have had to get them replaced sooner rather than later. People were saying that it was generally a $400-$500 fix, so I was bracing myself for the worst. About five hours later I got a phone call saying that, yes, my exhaust was in fact rusted and broken and that it would be $2,200 to fix it. Now, this is about 25% of the value of my car so naturally I freaked out. Fortunately my husband is fairly handy with cars and had actually changed out his own exhaust on his car when he got it, but since we live in an apartment complex it's been more difficult for him to do auto work. He said that he thought he could get the complete system for under $400 and replace it himself. He ended up calling Huff Muffler in Brandon and talking to the guy there. He explained it as best he could not having seen anything more than the photos that Nissan took and emailed to me so that I could send them to him at work. He told my husband to bring it in and that it was likely going to be about $100, but at most $250 to repair the exhaust. I took it in and showed them the pictures. They said it would be a $40 fix and would take them less than 30 minutes to fix. Nissan wanted to replace the entire system when only one part needed to be repaired. My car sounds perfect again. They do all kinds of repairs and maintenance including oil changes and what not. They are family owned and operated and they are AWESOME. I highly, highly recommend them. AAA recommended and towed my 2002 Expedition to Huff in Brandon on 60. I don't live in Brandon so I had to get a hotel for two days while Huff figured out the problem. The computer was bad. Final bill $1,100 Bobby did come in on Saturday morning to deliver parts and get my truck going. read more

AAA towed my brand new car there on a Sunday night as I blew a tire. The next morning I was greeted immediately and they instantly quoted me and ordered my brand new tire. Truck has been throwing a Check Engine Code for some time, been on the forums, changed everything but the Catalytic Converter. Driving to Brandon from Jacksonville, FL and the Check Engine came back on. Called Huff explained issue, told them I was from out of town, he said to come on in, and they would inspect the truck. Replaced Catalytic on the passenger side with an replacement, said it would be about 2.5 hrs, went next door to grab a bite to eat, called me within 1.5 and said truck was ready. Showed me the catalytic and it was completely destroyed, the price was right, did I mention they got me right in upon arrival. Do not do business with this place, they will take it out on your hard earned money/vehicle, shady, shady, shady... When I got there the manager was in a back room away from the customer counter, I gave him all the courtesies and called him sir the entire time but he was mad about something. He asked how he could help me in a angry way like it bothered him I was there, I started to tell him the first item I need checked or repaired and he said without any eye contact and remained sitting in that room the entire time, I was almost sure he didn't really paid attention of what I needed inspected or repaired so I asked if he was OK and he started to tell me about a how NAPA parts delivered half of parts last night but they were charged $1300 without a full delivery. Concerned he was so upset that he would not take a full list of everything I needed repaired and worked on and that I would waste a trip and a day from work I asked him if he was OK again. He started to say again how upset he was about NAPA and their delivery system, so I said to him "yes sir but it is not my fault". I think he was embarrassed and instead of apologizing he pretended to take care of me and took the rest of the list. At the end he retaliated, he scratched the heck out of my bumper (3 deep lines, perfect lines that no tool or bracket could have created) and the muffler tips were left crooked. He lied and changed the price to compensate for the military discount I asked him for. Also lied about the completion time, when I asked him if I could wait for it he said it would be completed at 2PM so obviously I couldn't wait that long, to my surprise it was completed a little over an hour after I left. Thinking about it now he wanted me to leave so I could not see how the repairs were completed and to have some privacy to retaliate and cowardly take it out on the car. When I called him and ask him to correct it and get the scratches repaired he started to say I was rude to him and that all his employees, strangely I only had just a small interaction with only one of them and we talked about a turtle I had ran over that morning and felt bad. Cursing a storm refused to allow to speak to someone above him and hung up. I am not sure if he is the owner and lied or if the owner knows he is being represented this way. Anyways do not do business at this place, no pre-inspection, a shady manager or could be owner. read more
