We came here last summer and the place was packed. We were seated at a table downstairs, outside, in the sun, in nowhere's land. After requesting a better location we were brought upstairs, inside and sat at the bar. Perfect location, service and view. What a great turn around. Last Sunday we came back for the brunch. We were the first ones in, the place was empty. The all you can eat brunch was a fantastic serving of all the things we like. You can even have omelettes or Eggs Benedict prepared to order. At 11:00 they added tacos. I ate so much tasty food it ended up being my only meal of the day. Oh and the place started to fill up shortly after arriving...so get there early and stay all day! Bridge Bay holds a special place in our hearts as we spent our honeymoon night here before heading to Hawaii almost 30 years ago . We would go there a few times a year for special occasions before Huff's took it over~mostly for the lovely view and nostalgia Since it became Huff's, we have been 3 times. The first experience was good! Great service, good food and drinks, etc The second time was last year on our anniversary. Great server but they were short staffed so service took quite awhile which we totally understand that it's not the servers fault. We ordered a couple of rum and cokes and an appetizer. When we finally got our drinks, we discovered the soda was flat! No bubbles at all. When the appetizer finally arrived which, sadly was cold, we let the server know about the drink issue. She took care of it right away and heated up our appetizer. We both ordered ribeye steaks for dinner. When she brought our entrees, I noticed our steaks looked very different. I'm no meat expert but after cutting into and tasting my steak I could tell it was not a rib eye! Our server was so busy it took awhile for her to get back to us and my husband was nearly done with his meal by then. She agreed that what I received was a sirloin and not a ribeye but by then it was so late we didn't want to wait for the meal to be replaced so we asked if they would box the sirloin and charge us accordingly which she did. Ok.. one not so great experience isn't enough for us to not give a business another chance since we understand stuff happens The third visit was again for our anniversary this year. We decided to splurge and get the tomahawk steak for two. I gotta say that, for $140, it was not great. The medium rare steak was tough and again sides were barely warm. The salads were great! Fresh greens and good dressings! Again they seemed to be short staffed even though there were only 2 other tables with folks besides us. Our server was new in fact told us it was their first day so there were struggles with getting our food and service. In summary I would say we probably won't go back which is sad because we enjoy supporting small, local businesses . It's too bad because the location is beautiful. Seems like exactly what I've been looking for. A great restaurant with awesome views of the lake and the bridge. Really cool when you get to see the trains pass by. Favorite lunch menu items are the Crab Sandwich or the French Dip. Favorite app is the Crab Cakes. Love the Surf N Turf steak and prawn dinner. Also a big fan of the Seafood Linguini. Heard they just updated their menu for winter and I'm excited to try it! read more

We've been here 3 times in the last month. We've sat up in the bar area each time and have been blown away by how amazing the staff is. The are so attentive and work as a team so we've had 2-3 girls helping us each time providing 10/10 service. Everything we've ordered has been great. Love the pig wings, shrimp cocktail appetizer and you can't go wrong with any of their steaks or burgers. read more

We arrived at a 12:15 for lunch. The view of Shasta Lake was the only positive experience. The menu had some nice selections. We ordered fish and chips, requesting a light batter. The waiter said no problem! In addition, I ordered a prime rib French dip with fries and a side salad. When the two lunches arrived at the table, we noticed the amount of batter on the halibut. It appeared to be at least a half inch thick. Not to mention how dark brown (over cooked) the fish was. The waiter apologized, and left the table. My French dip was just okay. Very little flavor. The french fries were really greasy and limp. Very disappointed in the service and quality of food. Did I mention there were only two tables of lunch guests. The bill came to $55 for lunch. In my opinion, the waiter should have told the cook, the fish and chips wouldn't be served and need to be redone. We won't be going back! read more

Tried to give them a second chance but should have known better. Same thing great view horrible service and the meat was rotten again. So lesson learned never going back there ever again. The wife and I visited for our anniversary and were pleasantly surprised with the quality of food and service we received. We started the night with an appetizer of coconut prawns and that's the reason this is 4 stars and not 5. The were overcooked and chewy and the presentation on top of the pineapple made the batter slimy. Good flavor but not worth what it cost. We shared a golden cider cocktail that was phenomenal and one of the best mixed drinks we've ever shared. For dinner we both had ribeye. I had the burbon aged and hers was the original. The burbon age steak was in my top three steaks of all time. My #1 is cowboy star in co springs. The unique buttery sweet rich flavor on that steak was like nothing I've ever had before. If you're looking for a unique flavor without being overly whimsical this steak is it. They also blessed us with a complentary desert for our anniversary. We need to visit huffs more! I went there on a Saturday night and there was some bad weather passing through that night which was causing problems with the power. Our food was served with no problem but they didn't charge us because of the inconvenience caused by the storm. I had the fish & chips which in my opinion was very good. Lovely, spacious, and comfortably casual, this spot overlooks Lake Shasta, making for a wonderful lunch destination--with outdoor seating on the covered deck, or in the dining room, or at the upstairs bar. Kind of a dirty spot. I get that the building is old but the windows were nasty. Most light fixtures were missing bulbs. Out of the several TVs in the upper room (bar) only one was on. Felt kind of cheap in there. The food wasn't any better. The shrimp cocktail with cream tasted mushy. And who puts cream on shrimp? I was expecting a fun twist to the cream to pair nicely with the shrimp, maybe citrus based or infused with a spice or fun flavor but no. It was just plain cream. On shrimp. Weird appetizer. The French dip was boring. But the sour dough on it was good. read more

We went for a fundraiser event for the Brunch and I was very impressed with the quality of the food and the taste. It was amazing! So amazing that we decided to go back for dinner the same day. Again, the food was out of this world, best Fish and Chips, fresh tasting cod, delicious french fries and you cannot get a better "home-made" Tartar sauce anywhere! I wish they bottled it. Please do not play hard rock music during the lunch bunch. Temp in restaurant could be a tad bit warmer. Since St. Paddies Day it doesn't look like the bathrooms have been serviced Windows could be cleaner for a better view. Disgusting! Waste of money. I took my wife there for Valentines dinner, we made reservations almost 2 weeks in advance. They didn't have my reservation. We waited 50 minutes for our appetizers, arrived cold. Waited another 25 minutes for our salads. My wife had a hair in hers. Notified the waiter who just said sorry. Waited another 30 minutes our main course. I only had a few bites. My stake was like eating a rubber band. Our bill was over a $100. I've had better food and service at Disney's! read more

Took my wife to their Valentine's Dinner special. *Made reservation 2 weeks ahead of time *Seated upstairs with a few other patrons who had no food at their tables - red flag *Server took our order right away, drinks and food - good *25 minutes to get our cocktails which were not the best *Side salads were served about 15 min after drinks *45 min asking about appetizers, came shortly after *1 hr 15 min in, a plate with just a slab of ribeye was presented. While the food quality was good, the wait time for an rsvp event was unacceptable given they knew how many patrons to prepare for. They were obviously short staffed and unorganized, yet were friendly. Overall, it was disappointing at a price of around $120 (normally priced at $230) which only included a small side salad, appetizer, the meat, dessert and our three drinks ($10ish each). No other sides were provided or offered as it was a preplanned menu. Each was a standalone item which gave no differences of taste while eating each one. The food quality was good and seemed fresh. As first time customers that had been wanting to try it out for a while, this package seemed like the perfect opportunity. We're disappointed that this was our first impression. read more
