    Wagyu burger with onion rings
    Wendy A.

Stopped in with my elderly mom on a quiet but semi busy Thursday night at this restaurant that's out a a ways but worth the drive. We heard from someone who knows that this cozy gem on a golf course (!) was a good bet and that you had to try the wagyu burger if you're a fan of beef. We were greeted warmly by a friendly gal who had the ease of a well-seasoned, personable restaurant manager rather than a tired overworked and overwhelmed employee on a mid-week night. She invited us to sit ourselves and we chose a booth against the wall where we could see out the windows to the green. Ah, nice. She immediately took our drink orders (they do have everything here, even bottled juices and cocktails) and swiftly returned and we were ready to order. We both got the wagyu burger and crispy onion rings with ranch and I'll tell ya what, we have had some really good burgers in our time, we are big fans, but these burgers were melt in your mouth, so flavorful and juicy, cooked to about 140, just like I ordered. In fact, a few bites into this monumental meal the chef who cooked this masterpiece came to our table personally to ensure we were enjoying our meal. He (like our attentive server) was charming and clearly appreciated that we put these burgers in our top 5 meals ever by showing us a smile from ear to ear. Ha ha That's all that I needed. We will definitely be back.

    Several bites already gone.

We came in on 1/21 during a very slow night. It was quiet, clean, decent temperature, comfortable booths. We were met by a not very friendly older waitress who told us to sit anywhere and asked for our drink orders. I asked what they had, she replied, "Everything." I asked what ciders they had, she said no ciders. Since there is absolutely NO drink menu anywhere, I went with water. My husband went a Hex, which they had on draft, and he loved. That waitress was really the only negative. A very nice blond took over after the drinks and was super nice and chatted us up a bit. I ordered the waygu burger and sweet potato fries. It was delicious. My husband had the New York with prawns, broccolini, mashed potatoes and a salad. It was all very good. Maybe the first waitress was just having a bad night and maybe they can print out a drink menu for those of us that don't know exactly what "everything" covers. That would likely boost them to a full 5 stars.

My husband and I decided to take a trip to Burney Falls and wanted a place to sit in and have lunch. We found this place on Yelp. Once we entered, Angela (I believe was her name) told us the kitchen wouldn't be serving dinner until 4:30pm and that we were more than welcome to grab a drink at the bar in the mean time. 10 minutes before dinner time she asked us what we would like so she can put the order in and have it ready by then. She was very welcoming and easy to speak to. She provided great hospitality for our first time at the restaurant. She definitely made our experience great. We tried the soup of the day and it was chicken noodle soup. I was convinced that it was from a can, boy was I wrong. The celery still had a crunch to it and was fresh! Then I ordered the cut of the day medium rare and it was seasoned well and was perfect. My husband and I didn't expect much but we were extremely satisfied and ordered food to go. We would definitely come here again.

Is calling ahead before coming here for lunch necessary? Showed up for lunch in the middle of a work week and the waitress seemed angry that we showed up. For reference this was on 4/10/2025.

There is a definite ocean/ seafood feel. I was greater by a shy but pleasant and friendly young lady. She was helpful with the menu options and helped me understand the different specials for the day. I ordered the 1-piece fish, fried cheese bread and cup of chowder with a drink for $16.49. And just because I was craving shrimp as well, I also ordered a shrimp cocktail. This ended up being a lot more good than I could eat, and quite honestly, a great deal for the amount of food for under $30 nowadays!! The cocktail sauce is great; it has a little spicy kick but not too much to ruin the shrimp. The clam chowder is awesome. There is a lot of clam pieces, the flavor is really good and it was very filling. The fish cooked perfectly and not overly breaded and not over cooked. I was very impressed. The fried cheese bread is weird "to me" but it has a good flavor. I just wasn't crazy about the texture. Overall, if you're in the area, this is a must stop. I'm so happy I ate dinner here. If I'm ever in the area again I Will return. Thanks for a great dinner!!!

Located in the Placer Heights Plaza, next to Starbucks. Same plaza as Holiday Market and CVS Pharmacy. We were seated immediately as they were not busy. The menu was a bit different than online. Our server came to take our order. He didn't introduce himself and seemed like he didn't want to be there. We decided on the fried green tomatoes, fried chicken sandwich and catfish po' boy. When the po' boy came out, we thought it was burnt! We didn't know the catfish will be blackened by default. We thought it will be fried since it is a po' boy. The options can be blackened or fried based on the menu online. We were not given those options by our server. They brought out the food but didnt provide utensils until minutes later. Fried green tomatoes: It was good. Fried perfectly. The dressing that was tossed with the side salad was super salty. Catfish po' boy: Fish was tender but super salty as well. Fried chicken sandwich: Pretty good sandwich. Chicken was huge. The fries was so soggy, not crispy at all. Also very greasy. We were a bit disappointed as we drove out of our way to try this place. Can't go with a large party they separate you with two cooks totally opposite sides. It's like not even being in the same group of people. 2. They do not provide you with very much food at all in the Teppanyaki. It says you get an appetizer and that consisted of two shrimp. Lol 3. The first waiter that we had that was taking our drink order and took our meal order had such a heavy accent. It didn't even sound like he was speaking English. I ordered a more expensive sake, and he proceeded to explain to me how it was pointless to get the more expensive sake when I can get the cheapest sake for the same thing. So I tried it and the cheap cheapest saki is disgusting! 4. When I got my portion of the bill which was my meal and my daughter's meal it was over $80 and they added themselves in 18% gratuity. They said it was because we were in a large party but again we were not! We couldn't even communicate with half of our party. 5. And the last thing that pissed me off the most is that they get you in and out in one hour. They totally rushed us!! They were taking our plates on our side because the other side got their food first and they were done so they started rushing the people that were on our side.

I saw so many reviews raving about the chicken Marsala. Maybe they got a new cook because the sauce was basically just heavy cream didn't look anything like other pictures people posted. My husband got the spaghetti and meatballs. The meatballs were very good and had lots of flavor but the marinara was also quite bland and the garlic bread was a joke. It was toasted bread with a smidge of butter, no garlic whatsoever. I will not go back for the price. Definitely not worth it. The fried artichokes and salad were good, but the entree is the most important part and they totally dropped the ball. Very disappointing.
