Our primary purpose of staying here was the fact that it was directly connected to MGM Grand and its pool complex. The MGM Grand pool complex has one of the best lazy rivers out of the hotels on the Las Vegas Strip. It surely beats the one at Mandalay Bay in terms of length and size. My 7 year old niece absolutely loved going to the pool and lazy river during our stay at The Signature. Prior to arrival, I called about a week before to have a note left on my reservation stating that I'd prefer to have a room in Tower 1, which is the tower closest to the MGM Grand. Technically all 3 towers are connected to MGM Grand via moving walkways, but it save a couple minutes of time for us. Our 17th floor 1-bedroom balcony unit itself was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. My sister and her husband and young son slept in the bedroom. My wife and my niece and I slept on the pull-out bed in the living room. One of the most appreciated feature of this unit was the fact that there was a whole 2nd bathroom (stand-up shower, but no tub). It made it much easier to split up the bathroom usage for my party with that 2nd bathroom. In addition to that 2nd bathroom, having a full sized fridge was nice to have since we were able to chill all of our fruits, snacks, and beverages in it. Overall, we would definitely consider this hotel the next time we want to visit Vegas with my sister's kid or other groups with young kids.

They have 2 buildings, the pool building (Oasis) and the 21+ only building (Gold Spike). If you in Gold Spike, when it opens for the nightclub, even if you stay there - you have to go through security and if you have outside food and drinks - they take it and escort you to the elevator so you aren't "bringing it in the club" & when you come down to leave with items from your room ... they do the same. Parking is limited - like maybe 20 cars limited. I say all that to say - don't let the outside deter you. We've stayed in both buildings and though I prefer the tower - I would stay in either again 4 stars because of the tub and shower doing some weird stuff.

It's so nice to have a microwave and we always bring a little frying pan and a can of spam. We can heat up our pizza slices or cook up a little snack. That's a little more stick to your gut. Only downside is even with the fountain view room, they're so-called blackout shades are not blackout at all not ever. Not if you need the room to be dark. Instant the sun starts rising at five or 6 AM. You know it. The whole room gets bright and the light comes through the window shade panels very well. Also at night. Yes we're on the sphere side and everything but there's lights going all the time the light comes in that's all I can say. If we stay here again, I'll have to rig something so I can sleep at night. I already have something in mind because it's worth it to rig something up to stay here. I really do like it.

I was at Vdara as an Uber driver waiting for my rider to come out when a security guard approached…read moreme and immediately started telling me I had to leave because there was supposedly a five-minute waiting limit. What made the situation frustrating is that many Vdara guests order Uber Comfort, Black, and other higher-end rides, so drivers sometimes have to wait a few minutes for guests to make their way downstairs. I was there specifically to pick up a Vdara guest, not loitering around the property. The security guard then began taking pictures of me and my license plate and told me I was banned from every MGM property. Another security guard came over and continued telling me to leave. When I asked to speak with a supervisor, I was told the supervisor would not speak with me because he was on a "very important call." I was then told I was being trespassed from the property. I eventually called Vdara directly. Vdara staff came outside, de-escalated the situation, and told me that the security guards could not ban me from every MGM property and that I could return to Vdara to pick up passengers without a problem. I appreciate the Vdara employees who came outside and handled the situation professionally, but the way the security officers treated an Uber driver who was simply waiting for a paying hotel guest was unnecessary and unprofessional. Based on this experience, I would not recommend Vdara to riders who regularly use Uber Comfort, Black, or other premium rideshare services. If drivers are being pressured to leave while waiting for hotel guests, it creates an unnecessary problem for both the driver and the guest.

The stay was for my birthday so it was great because one of the nights we had a friend who didn't want to leave to go their room in the mgm so we asked for a cot and they rolled that in and it was so sweet. We loved that we were able to cuddle puddle. Oh, we also asked for a karaoke machine and they had brought that to us when they had the chance. They also have airport service so the car ride back to the airport was nice and easy. Smooth sailings. The vio lounge always was stocked with water and soda and the Travazza machines are amazing to have for the mornings when you need extra caffeine before you start the day.
