We experienced The Hughes Brothers Musical Show in Branson. They are a very talented, and extremely HUGE, family. There were some excellent harmonies. The music choices weren't the best. I don't want to knock the show - because they were great. But of the shows that we have seen here so far, it was my least favorite. I feel like they might be forgetting their demographic is getting younger, as the older generation leaves this Earth. It's time to freshen up the show with some younger, more high energy tunes! The shows here are great, however, the theater itself is kind of dated and the seats are extremely uncomfortable after sitting for more than an hour. We were here to see the Hughes Brothers Christmas show which was wonderful, however, we didn't like that there was a 40+ intermission for a show that was roughly 90 minutes long if they just skipped the intermission! read more

I attended their Christmas show and their celebrity dinner with my grandmother. We were astonished to see all of the Hughes Brothers children and grandchildren. Astonishing to think that all 93 are beautiful and talented. God has blessed this humble family and has given them a legacy that will live on for many years. Honestly was the best live show I have ever seen. People had come from all over the country to see this act and now I understand why! VIP is $10 more and I strongly suggest opting in for it as the show is very interactive with the audience! Now I did read the other reviews on here before going and I promise you that all of the performers were gifted and sounded wonderful. The violins were definitely not prerecorded as I sat fairly close to the stage. I found the celebrity dinner tasted about as good as it looked. Honestly, neither one of the Hughes brothers wives seemed dismayed and frankly Jason's wife gave a mesmerizing performance! The teenager I spoke to seemed very happy and excited to be preforming. Definitely was giving tight nit family vibes certainly not "free child labor" as the other reviewer put it. It was a dinner show and the food was superb! My only complaint about our experience is we only have time to see it once but will definitely add this show to our "must see" list for return trips. It was exciting yet eventful, I don't make things up I provide proof. Oookayyyy! The Hughes Brothers provided us dinner and a show, a person is so distracted by the entertainment that you forget to eat. The brothers extended the family to 87! Yes, there's 87 of them in either the show all the way to servers and cooks. The family even owns the theater, what a legacy to leave. One of the family members made a song out of the 87 family members, ole girl named each of them without taking a breath :))) and there's 3 more currently on the way! I wonder can she identify each? So good to see a family display togetherness and such great talent. Members of the family are all ages...down to the little toddlers. They were all so good! The 4 brothers don't look anything alike, but they work so well together. Each one has their own distinct voice that together, makes for a great quartet. The show is so well done. Very well choreographed, great outfits, great backdrops and lighting, and is just a delightful show. One might think you are in a Broadway show at some points. It was one of the more expensive shows, but I found a BOGO online, so it was $60 for 2 tickets. We opted to do the dinner. Don't do it! Totally not worth $25 for each person. The server we had was amazing though-worked his heart out. They tell you that it's turkey, chicken, green beans, and potatoes. What they don't tell you is that everything is almost covered in gravy, which I do not like, and the sauce on the chicken. I've never had ratatouille sauce, but not a fan. The turkey was good, but nothing to write home about. Chicken was so dry and had no flavor. The server was nice enough when I asked to just get some turkey and green beans without gravy to get me another plate of it. Show was awesome. Skip the dinner and save yourself some money and go somewhere good to eat. It's a great concept to have dinner up in the balcony, but the price needs to be about $15 or much better. read more

Re-vibe may be comprised of the younger Hughes family members, but their talent is robust! These songsters are bursting with energy and enthusiasm. Our group absolutely loved that the show ended with a song of praise. I'd enjoy more of that, if they'd consider for future shows. The tribute to their grandparents was amazing as well. Another favorite was the "Play a Country Song Backwards" - everyone was clearly having a great time performing that one! Ok...let me get that bad stuff out of the way first... These brothers are old news and just don't have it anymore. Slightly out of tune, subpar production, family-run in a way that looks questionable & not exciting anymore. This show needs serious help if they're going to come back. They involve their family/kids and many have talent, but I think they're really pushing many to be involved and some don't look excited or happy to be in the show. Not sure if they're being "strongly encouraged" or put on stage to hopefully catch a break. The show had more people on stage than in the audience (Wednesday night). The food was not good...skip dinner! It was the same quality you'd find at a elementary cafeteria line...they need serious food & beverage guidance. During intermission one of the brothers really tries to push the sales of merch and and it's just corny. The brothers have talent to some degree, but they rely on the speakers to do the projection for them. We were in the second row and could hear the speakers over their own voices. Just didn't sound real. The music needs a new lineup. The oldest brother, although a genuine man, has run his course. He doesn't move as fast as the other brothers and their dance routines show it. The theater also needs major renovations or at least a color refresh inside and out. Also definitely need to stop doing cover music if it's not done right and as good as the original bands. Ok...so now for the good. The people, family and service are pretty top notch. Everyone is above and beyond friendly...and if you don't know this already, the concession/waitstaff/singers/band are all family. This is definitely a family-run business from top to bottom. I'm here to support that! The brothers have talent to some degree, but they rely on their history to sell tickets and it's just not working. The talent is in their younger generation and they need to turn it over to them, rebrand and market themselves differently as the current demographics are no longer interested and the newer generation wants and needs something to see while in Branson. These brothers need and should invest in these kiddos as most have some really good talent, but they're not getting their time as they should in certain areas. Their drummer is a great singer with good vocals and has major potential as a solo singer/songwriter and has some dedicated time on stage which was some of the better show parts. He could drive tickets alone with his vocals and originality. They also have other musicians in the family that play strings, however played for the wrong arrangements line loud/pop in songs. If they did some sort of an intimate trio/quartet for one or two songs and used that as a break for others, that would be amazing. They were drowned out by the brother's singing on other songs. Add their trumpet player for some brass to really build up a couple intimate songs would just be really nice. Since this is a show with a music variety, and with the talent that exists in their family, they have so much to offer, but played the wrong instruments for the wrong songs...when they could have played some Vivaldi/Beethoven or even more relevant music with their wide range of instrumental talent to take us on a journey. Some of the comedy bits are cute, but not really needed. The show length foe the price is very fair, but with some changes and putting the right singers/musicians together to make a better show and showcase some of their family talent would be even more amazing. The brothers just need to step aside and really listen to their kids and build the show around them. They're the future...and it looks like most range between 16-25 anyway...so they're ready and probably willing to step it up. Some of the younger kids don't need to be in the show. Their lack of interest shows and it actually brings it down. This simple change could improve the show alone. If passion isn't obvious, the lack thereof is! The dance routines for the younger generation is good and needs to be a little more fine tuned; but is current and creative. I think the brothers/kids need to have a serious talk about their future and how they're going to move forward. Transitions between the first and second part need work and the patriotic songs, although beautiful to hear just don't belong in this show. They're fillers that could be better filled. I really believe these brothers need to pass on the torch and let the future of their family design and produce the show, or it may not survive much longer. As it stands right now, I would not book my groups for this show. I would however like to see more of the younger generation front and center with the right songs and routines/arrangements to bring some life back. The brothers don't have to go, but maybe it's time for them to realize they're more of the special guests than the headliners as they may be ready to move on to other things. read more

Incredibly talented family. Enjoyed the show with family. They have many of their own songs. So you may not be familiar with them. The intermission talk about all the things they were selling was very long. And they could add a latrine trailer to the parking lot to help speed up and cut down on lines. Everyone can always improve for guests experience.. But I'd go back. It was a solid show for the Branson area. Still sell dvd and cd if anyone has a player. Having studied violin and played in an orchestra --this was offensive! Criticizing public schools where they went and started their careers with the excuse that home schooling is better whereas it is so they can have children on show... Too many stupid, overdone, over rehearsed jokes. Singing was ok. I was hoping for so much more. Not nearly cool enough to even try to do all those rock moves, especially Marty. He was way over show biz Older kids were pretty good. Kind of like watching Disney. Very much a family show tho. Kids liked it. Highlight may have been Jacob. He has mega talent. As talented a family as you will ever see. From parents to toddlers- they all sing, dance and play instruments at a high level. The show was very family friendly. The sound was really good, not to loud and with a good mix of voices and instruments. The musical selections were varied with something everyone could enjoy. The children are beautiful and so fun to watch. The Hughes bros and their wives are inviting hosts and exceptional artist in song and dance themselves. The theatre is a little dated but comfortable. The only less than excellent was the media presentation and projection which needs upgrading. We enjoyed a wonderful musical afternoon and highly recommend this family show! read more

Six put on a really good show! With no music except what they do with their mouths they did a wide variety of songs that appealed to a crowd that was comprised of all ages including many teenagers and many senior citizens. The main floor of the theater seats 900 and it was 95% full on a Wednesday! They did songs by the Righteous Brothers, Rolling Stones. Four Seasons, Kansas, U2, Sinatra and many more, including a gospel segment. They did a touching tribute to their mother followed by gospel music to end the show. This would have been better in the middle of the show because the crowd was not as energized at the end as they were thoughout the beginning and middle of the show. We have been to see the Hughes Brothers Show several times and were treated to incidences of the "kids" joining the Brothers for a few numbers and truly enjoyed it. Tonight we decided to try Re-Vibe a show planned and performed by some of the older "Kids". Man were we blown away! These teens performed Rock and Soul music from the 50's, 60's, 70's, and 80's and nailed it! Great vocals, choreography, and such stage presence! With skills like this we will be visiting the Hughes Brothers Theater for years to come to see shows put on by both Generations of performers! If you are nearby do yourself a favor and check it out!
