While visiting my daughter in Jinks, we found this little gem. I true family diner with amazing food. The coffee was hot and strong, the servers were friendly and on top of their fame. I loved all the cooking related posters and signs around the restaurant, it had a really homy feel. I will eat here again when back in the Tulsa area. read more

The hash browns were not cooked very crispy even after requesting. The biscuit and gravy was ok, the gravy was definitely batch made and not homemade. My family was traveling from Texas to celebrate my daughter's 12th Birthday in Tulsa. We stayed in the area for several nights to visit the Gathering Place and the Pioneer Woman Mercantile in Pawhuska, OK. After a few mornings of breakfast stops at Sonic, we wanted to find a more local breakfast place where we could sit and dine in, with a home cooked breakfast menu. Hugo's was everything we were looking for! It's a small place, with older decor and it's clear it is the chosen breakfast dive for all the locals! We were greatly pleased with the excellent customer service, hot delicious food, hot chocolate for the 5yo, chocolate milk for the 8yo and fresh tea & coffee. The ice water tasted great too. If given the chance, choose the hash browns to add to your breakfast! They have a seasoning in them that makes them the best hash browns we've ever had! The Pan San special was enough to feed both my 5 year old daughter and myself. The bacon is thick, crispy & plentiful!! My mama chose the veggie omelet & the only thing she wishes she would have asked for was more cheese inside the omelet. Eating at Hugo's was one of our favorite choices during our whole vacation. We just wish we would have tried it earlier so we could have had breakfast there every day. We all left with full satisfied bellies and will definitely return if ever in the Tulsa area. The service was Epic-- Sorry i forgot the girls name but she was so sweet, energetic and funny -cracked a few funny jokes. Very engaging and helpful with food suggestions and she was spot on. Like another reviewer mentioned, we wanted to get some real diner food that's fairly close to the River Spirit Casino. Hugo's showed up as a viable option that's minutes away from the casino on our way home to OKC. You are greeted with friendly faces as you walk through the door. You pick your seats and they'll come by with menus. It's a pretty extensive menu that one would expect from a breakfast/diner place. The food was delicious. Most of us ordered breakfast and one person ordered cheeseburger and fries. Yes, you can order lunch at any time of the day here. This is one of my and my husband.'s favorite places to have breakfast although their lunches are very good as well. There is something about their eggs that make them stand out from other restaurants and their hash browns are a favorite. Cornbeef hash is also a good choice. We came here for breakfast with my step Dad. He lives in Jenks and had been here before and had said he enjoyed his previous meal there. Called Pops and when he arrived the waitress recognised him and quickly brought him coffee and a water. His meal was the same as always 2 eggs over medium, bacon and hash browns. Nothing is good, really. We tried this place to mix up our routine of breakfast at BBDs whenever family is in town. It's a small place that looks like your grandparents' diner. But, the seats are uncomfortable, the juice and coffee are watered down, the toast (French and otherwise) is from "rainbo" brand bread sacks piled high in the back, the bacon is made ahead of time and tastes more of fryer than of pork, water spilled out of my egg whites like yoke, and so for all our optimism we were 3/3 unhappy customers. I save 1 star ratings for places that actually offend or are memorably horrible experiences. This place is just plain bad, but probably won't kill you. read more

Hugo's is an outstanding breakfast spot. I used to live very close to Hugo's and could walk there on Saturday or Sunday mornings. It's a traditional diner - order some greasy food off the grill and pair it with a hot cup of coffee. I recommend the German potatoes - they're big chunks of potato that have been grilled. My favorite entrée is the hamburger patty with fried eggs and cottage cheese - it's a delicious low carb treat that's rich in flavor. My wife likes the oatmeal with a side of bacon. The bacon is on the crispier side which isn't my preference but she loves it. It's a family run operation so the same people are working there every time we're there - it doesn't take long to become a regular. And, the prices are very low so I can typically eat with my wife and barely spend over $20 (including tip)! We used to be Jenks Restaurant regulars but Hugo's is so much better and a better value. What a hole in a wall place!! YOU MUST GO! As soon as you walk in you'll feel right at home! The staff is really friendly. Once you go there more than once they will remember you and your order.
