First time here and felt welcomed and all were very nice and no attitudes which it should be that way but now a days servers are rude and half ass ... but not this place , you will enjoy it. The breakfast we ordered was really good and not greasy .. we will be back when we come to Tulsa again .. thank you all , we appreciate it!

This is our favorite hidden gem for Saturday morning breakfast together. Food is great and live music is delightful.

Playing a quick game, so cute!

Love this little gem called Jesse's Restaurant! Tucked in on South Memorial in Tulsa, such a cute little spot with bingo on Fridays, a checkers table, and live music on Saturdays. Amazing food, great service, and an atmosphere that cannot be beat! The breakfast is mouth watering, the pancakes and waffles are the size of the plate, delicious crispy hash brown, savory sausage, the whole nine yards! Really it was all as tasty as can be with prices that can still feed the whole family, Jesse's Restaurant is the place to be!

Always welcoming, this is our go to place on Saturday mornings. We love the food here, is always great.

We were welcomed by the manager and Reima our waitress was very sweet and helpful! We all decided on breakfast and it was definitely a great choice...steak and eggs, burgers, grits, omelette, skillet meals, you name it we ordered it! We could tell there were a lot of repeat customers. The diners were enjoying their food and the servers seemed happy to be there. They seemed to enjoy talking to their regulars. I got chicken fried chicken and Dan got chicken fried steak. Both were good, but mine was better. That might be because I always prefer chicken fried chicken. The way the Brookside diner prepares chicken fried chicken is outstanding. I got a large piece of chicken that filled my plate. It was also thick. Some diners pound thin pieces of chicken to the point it's so thin that it is overdone in the time it takes to get the breading crisp. Not Brookside. They produce a perfect chicken fried chicken, nice and crispy on the outside and moist and tender on the inside. I noticed a chalk board listing the specials. The day we were there, it was meatloaf. I also noticed some tempting deserts which I plan to get when I don't eat such a large meal. I enjoyed my experience at the Brookside Diner. Looking forward to our next visit.

It was served steaming with a steak knife on the side, which told me it had been microwaved to heat it up. A warm cinnamon roll is hard to beat, but one that has been overheated is a challenge to cut and chew (remember the steak knife?). I'd prefer to have it cold rather than too hot. Otherwise the service was good considering the restaurant was packed with a Sunday morning breakfast crowd.

We went on a Thursday afternoon at 4:00, so we didn't expect it to be busy. There were a few people there but not a bunch. We were promptly greeted by the hostess and shown to a booth. Our waitress brought our menus and silverware right behind the hostess. She asked if we knew what we wanted to drink and I ordered Decaf Coffee. My wife deferred to later once she knew what she was going to eat. The coffee arrived a few minutes later and I placed my order for the Belgian Waffle, 2 eggs scrambled, Hash Browns, and 2 Sausage Links. My wife ordered the Eggs Benedict and a side of biscuits and gravy and regular coffee. First before I forget, I am somewhat of a portly fellow. I carry about 70 pounds more than my doctor likes, and it's all right above my belt. Remember that the hostess put us in a booth, which usually is a challenge for me, because of my extra tire that I carry. But I was pleasantly surprised that this booth was spacious. It had plenty of room for us extra large folks without trying to move the table. The coffee, was good. Remember that I drink decaf coffee, so when I say it was good, thats saying a lot. I even asked the waitress if she had forgotten and brought me regular coffee and she assured me it was decaf. When the food arrived, I was so impressed by how good it looked, I forgot to take a photo, so the attached photo shows what was left when I was full. The waffle was the main thing I was after. I love waffles, and it's hard to find a good waffle. The menu claims they are Belgian Waffles, and I cannot disagree. They tasted like the Belgian Waffles I had in Paris, so I believe they are. The has browns normally don't rate a mention, but these hash browns were soft and not crunchy, and tasted like I expected hash browns to taste, from the first bite to the last. The eggs were scrambled well, which I would have preferred loose, but that's my fault for not specifying. I also ordered link sausage which was cooked as it should be. Next time I'll order bacon. The reason I avoided the bacon is that most places either burn it or leave it partially raw. Based on how the rest of my meal was cooked, I expect the bacon will be cooked right. I'm looking forward to my next visit already.
