We manage to get a table on a Saturday at 9am. Our dishes were priced reasonably around $12. The spicy crepe was suppose to come with fruits but the waitress misheard me and asked if I wanted fries or hash browns. The fries were like fried potatoes. Found this little gem of a restaurant after a 3 1/2 mile trail run in Turkey mountain on a Saturday morning. Walk in and seat yourself type atmosphere with a diner cafe feeling. Clean, friendly staff and patrons. We ordered the Turkey sandwich with onion rings and the Smashed Avocado, Bacon, 2-Eggs Over Easy with cheese Sandwich and home style potatoes. Right on Main Street, previously hidden to us. We hadn't often paid attention to all the spaces right there. Appears to be family owned. Owner told me they reopened it in August '21. We like a diner style restaurant - especially at breakfast. This is a good one. We had a good server who took good care of us. Their breakfast menu was extensive and everything we ate was delicious. First time trying this place and walked in to get some breakfast. I was really surprised how packed it was for a week day around 10 am. I was greeted by friendly staff and one of the owner kept checking on everyone to make sure the food was good. I really like this cause it was a nice hometown feel! I ordered the Jenks 3 Pete breakfast that came with two eggs which I ordered over easy, two link sausages, hash browns and a waffle. When I was asked about what kind of waffle, I was expecting your usual options, but the waitress suggested the banana crunch waffle. The waffle had fresh bananas, granola for the crunch, whipped butter, and a light dusting of powdered sugar. I have to say I was decently surprised how great this was. It was something different than I've ever had before. The rest of the meal was great and came out pretty quick especially for the amount of people that were there. This is a small diner, in a cute downtown area. Visited Sunday around 11:30am. They were packed and we had high hopes for great food. Unfortunately, we should have probably ordered breakfast foods but instead we ordered lunch/dinner foods and it just wasn't good. I had the catfish and I'm not sure it actually was catfish. It was fried in a hard, thick batter. Not good. The tartar sauce was terrible. Fries would have been good if they had been hot. Daughter had grilled cheese and it was fine. The food is wonderful. For a very good price I had scrambled eggs with hollandaise sauce. I have been coming to the restaurant for years and have always enjoyed my experience there. The service is also exceptional, they are always paying attention in case you need anything and they will keep your coffee full. The food was amazing. Service WAS NOT. Receipt even said "Admin" on the ticket! This young lady was rough with drinks and fairly unpleasant. I was okay with this... UNTIL - 1.) I was not aware that you pay at the front until finally noticing small print on a sugar tray. 2.) The admin handed me my card and I noticed that the total for my meal was nearly $50. It was also off that I wasn't prompted for a tip. I returned for a receipt so that I may leave the proper cash tip so upon looking at the total I had a doubt by what I had remembered on the register screen when processing the payment. I checked my bank statement when leaving and it was evident that the total had been adjusted. Been here before with friends but today was the worst experience at this restaurant. The quality of the food is bad. The catfish smells bad although it was deep fried with the powder but I think it's spoiled fish. I told the waitress and when we checked out, the lady showed us that it's common to serve customers bad food here. Wow! What an interesting of their attitude. They didn't apologize or ask what's happened!! When I ask if are they gonna charge for the bad catfish, they say yes , so ridiculous! Oh my goodness! Such an amazing breakfast! My wife had the breakfast enchiladas and I had the breakfast chimichanga! The egg batter tortilla was amazing and that was perhaps the best house made chorizo I've had! The salsa hollandaise was great and not too heavy. We recommend the home-fries.
