But the rest of the staff that does show up ensures conditions are reasonably clean and prepared for an awesome dining experience. The place was hoppin' made my usual and was very impressed with the seasonal honey sriracha sauce. Seemed a little short staffed but the team helped even other out servers jumped in to help out on the grill. Several families were there enjoying birthdays and graduations. I absolutely hate leaving a bad review -- but this was genuinely one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. I walked in and asked if there was a lunch price, and the girl at the counter just stared at me cluelessly. She actually had to flip through the menu right in front of me before telling me it was "$15-something." So I asked if that was the same for kids -- and she said, "yes." Guess what? The menu CLEARLY says there's a kids' price! How do you not know your own pricing? Maybe train your staff so they at least know the basics. Then, we sat down -- and I kid you not, I hadn't even scooted into my seat before the server was hounding me: "What do you want to drink? What do you want off the menu?" I hadn't even picked up the menu yet! I told him, "I have no clue, I just sat down." And his snarky response? "Have you not been here before?!" -- like I was stupid for not immediately yelling "grill!" at him. Yes, I have been here, but I still want two seconds to look at the menu before you start interrogating me about drinks and food. He just stood there like I was wasting his time, so I awkwardly said, "I guess we'll have water," and he finally walked off. Unbelievable. And guess what? He NEVER came back. Not once. My kids wanted wontons, I wanted something other than water -- but I never got the chance. So we just went up to get our food. At least the cook was great -- super friendly, actually seemed to care. But the server? Completely MIA. He only reappeared when we were DONE eating, grabbed our plates, and started to walk away so fast I had to flag him down just to ask for the check. Then I got to sit there for another seven minutes waiting for him to drop it off. And only THEN did he finally say "thank you." Wow, what an effort. Meanwhile, the restaurant was filthy -- tables sat dirty the entire time we were there. Not one server looked happy to be there. No smiles, no "how is everything?" -- nothing. The ONLY person who acted like they cared was the guy at the grill. I would've asked for a manager, but there didn't seem to be one anywhere -- just three miserable servers ignoring everyone. I have been to this restaurant so many times over the years, seen staff come and go, and the food is always great, but tonight by far blew every other time out of the water!!! I have never seen anyone be so focused on their customers as Sarah was tonight, she spent a lot of time being the only one on the grill, consistently busy making everyone's food, but still gave every one of her customers her full attention, not many people have the capacity to do so, she is an absolute delight! The only disappointment was while Sarah was killing it, she had asked to go hydrate a few different times and was never relieved at least not the entire time my husband and I were there. Went with the family the boys loved this place! This place was very delicious I think it's a great price and a great atmosphere our waiter was very nice and helpful since it was our first time there. The cooks over the big heat pad/surface thingy lol was amazing they weee very friendly and knew how many min to cook each item. It's buffet style. The reason for 4 star is it was a little in the messy side in the buffet area and sticky floors but I totally get it it's a busy and full place. My first time at a HuHot and maybe my last. Walked in on 10/06/2025 about 6:30. There were 2 of us. We were seated right away with 1 menu. Not having been there before we were not sure what to do and after waiting for wait staff, we finally figured out we just go help ourselves to bowls and food. I was hoping for some appetizers but nobody came around until we were halfway through our plate and we could finally order drinks. (We had to catch her attention). When our drinks were delivered, she just set them down and walked off because she was talking to another staff member. The staff was trying to get their side work done and for the most part ignored us. There was one girl that came up to us and my husband gave her a dirty fork that he had pulled out of the clean ones. She just took it and walked away, didn't ask if we needed anything else. We had to get somebody's attention to get our check to pay. I get it, they want to get the side work done to get out of there but don't ignore the customers you have. I have never not left a tip until this evening. I have never had service this bad. I want to start on a positive note. We were seated right away, the food was fresh and tasty. We like the wide variety of proteins, vegetables and sauces available every time we visit. Sure, the sauté ingredients were a little mixed up in some spots but we don't have any allergies so it wasn't a problem. The men working at the sauté station seemed to be enjoying their job and worked efficiently together. But the rest of the staff..... not so much. At our table all the way across the dining room, we heard a loud screaming match between female employees in the kitchen. Mind you- they were behind closed doors! They were arguing over a male employee. The male employee left the kitchen shortly after with a smug, pleased look on his face. While we were eating dinner, we watched the manager send home multiple employees after the spat. She was trying to keep things together but the damage had already been done. I went here with my wife, mother-in-law and kids for dinner. The service here was alright, it's mainly high-school kids who are all very nice and will help if you ask. The food is alright, and maybe I had the wrong expectations going in thinking it would be somewhat similar to Benihana where in reality it's much more like an open buffet of Asian food. You can make your own bowls with meats (that are frozen), veggies, and sauces which is cool but there is a lot of cross contamination of the foods and tongs which is more on the people choosing there food as opposed to the restaurant I know. Giving this 3 stars because it was overall average, it's a place I'd come back to and enjoy if someone else suggests going here, but not a place I'd be the one bringing up as a recommendation read more

This is a terrific affordable Mongolian Grill! It's conveniently located in the orchard town mall so there is plenty of parking available at all times. But it does get busy so if you can I recommend coming during non-peak hours for shorter grill lines. I've been coming here for years and the staff is always fast, helpful, and there is always plenty of seating because it's a large space. This would be a great spot for celebrations with family and friends, dinner for when you don't feel like cooking, date night etc. They have a decent selection of food here - meat, seafood, veggie options. They also have a huge sauce bar. It's all you can eat so you just make your bowls and someone will grill for you. But if you're wanting other appetizers, they have things like crab wontons that are decent! read more

The service is nice, meaning the employees are friendly and the wait staff is really friendly as well. We were seated quickly and were taken care of quickly as well. The place was a bit dirty, and the floors were really sticky around the food. The noodles had meat in them, I just made sure to grab my noodles from a different area of the noodle bin. The veggie selection is great but again, there were different veggies mixed into all the other veggies - as if a child was going through and grabbing all the different veggies and dropping them in other bins as it went a long. The choices of sauce are really nice though. and the cooks were friendly. The quality of the food is decent. Don't expect anything special, don't expect the most delicious asian food ever. Huge no. They need to get some management in there and start running the place better. The cooks and servers were incredibly nice but everything else was pretty disappointing. I guess I didn't realize all of the food on the buffet would be frozen. It was so unappealing to see frozen pieces of food. I don't eat meat but if I did, there's no way I would have touched theirs! The food was just spilled all over the place and I honestly wouldn't trust the sanitation there. Kids should not be allowed to take food from there, the contamination and food touching grossed me out. This place should clean up a little and maybe hire somebody to manage the buffet a little better. If I had known before going, I'd never have eaten here. read more

I've had Mongolian grill before but I've never been to an "all you can eat grill" They are very Covid safe - they provide gloves for the food bar so that you're not spreading any germs. The food bar was always stocked and clean. They even cook your food in front of you! My only complaint is that I wish they'd leave the vegetables on the grill for a tad bit longer and add the sauce at the end. Like most of the other dinners I had similar experiences. The place was jamming on a Saturday at noon, we got in fairly quick and was greeted promptly by a friendly server. She took our drink orders (except for mine) and bounced on about her business. We got up and went through the cattle feed style line and assembled our meals. With a stop at the grill they tossed it onto the fire and cooked everything together. All in all the quality of food is average. The environment is loud and busy. Not really enjoyable. Lastly I'm about 95% sure our waitress stole my credit card info. This was the only place I had used my brand new debit card, the next morning my bank account was drained so I called the bank. They asked where I had used my card and I told them here. They said it's pretty common to have someone like a waitress/waiter take a cell phone picture of your card then go on a shopping spree. This place used to be insanely great with service, and have gone downhill a few years after being open. They've been short staff for over two years now, but that wasn't really my issue with my visit tonight. Once my party of two guests got to the grill line you could tell the cooks were having a hard time, so it took a bit longer. But what really pissed me off was that a manager came out of the kitchen, talked to the cooks, clearly saw the long line of guests and didn't even bother to just step in and help. Working for one of the top entertainment companies, I've seen managers no questions asked to step in and help their HOH team when they are low staffed. So it kinda just pissed me off to see their manager not even bother to step in and support. Like why are you a manager then? The useless dude wasn't even seen doing table touches in the restaurant.. so basically he's just a manager to be in the back. And I seriously don't feel sorry for how short staffed they have been the last few years. If I had a manager like that I'd quit too. I'd be sincerely pissed that I'm not being supported. We stopped by this location while on vacation. It is always hard to find low carb Mongolian grills since most only come with sugary sauce selections. We loaded up two bowls, one with an assortment of veggies and the other with piles of chicken, pork and beef. We then ladled on some garlic oil, sesame oil, chili oil, ginger and garlic broths and walked over the the grill to watch our food be prepared. Within minutes our food was cooked to perfection. The steamy pile of stir fry was quite delicious. You can go back for more, but one trip was more than enough for us, even without the noodles or rice. I should also mention that everyone working here were quite friendly. The server chatted with us and explained how everything worked since it was our first time. Hu! Hu Hooooot! Okay, so just so you know, if you're ever at a HuHot, and the guys cooking yell 'Hu' the next time they do, you're supposed to yell 'Hot!!!'. It's super fun, and part of the experience here. And yes, it should be an experience, these places are rad! The first time I went to one was in Dallas I think, nice to see one out here, and it was really clean. Granted it was dead inside, but that helped them keep up on everything, which is a full-time job no question. So while I get the low ratings from folks who came during busy or short staffed occasions, I didn't have those problems. Perks of dining solo perhaps... I have been to HuHot's in the past when they were busy, and I don't mind the cross-contamination as everything is frozen or chilled, and you see it cooked in front of you. If you are put off by the idea of bits of frozen chicken touching broccoli or something you'll probably be not as stoked on this place. That being said, again, when I went it was spotless. I agree with others that the service here was great, the hostesses were sweet, and my server was really nice and even though I didn't order any apps or drinks, she came and checked on me when I sat down with each of my plates to ask what I thought of the choices I made. That was nice. The kids working the wok were great. Super energetic and fun, also very polite. So I was really happy with their service. I made some good choices, and some not so good. You learn a little bit each time you go back. My advice, go way lighter than you think you should on your mixings/toppings you'll be less full and get to go back more than once which is half the fun. I look for places like this when I travel and it makes eating fun. Well...more fun than it already is, which is pretty freaking great, so...yea! I have gotten the only male Server the last 2 of 3 times I've been here with my kids. Management what Management, not person has come by except our so called Server. It's hard to go wrong if you follow the sauce combinations they recommends. To be safe simply make your bowls smaller. That way if you don't like the taste you can go back and make another one. I like that it is a unlimited trips. I have been to similar places we can only go once or twice, so you're forced to play a "how high" stacking games. When making your bowl be sure you had plenty of meat. That meat is largely frozen which I suppose help some cut it thinner. We had been cooked the meat shrivels up a lot. Each time I made a bowl I thought I had too much meat, only to wish I had added more. The Service however it could be better. I was there for about an hour, wasn't asked if I wanted my water until I was done eating and ready to pay. The place was by no means crowded so I'm not sure why the waiter/waitress didn't bother to check on us except at the very very start. read more

My wife and I went there on a date night. We've been a time or two before and hadn't been overly impressed but this time the staff was super friendly. The food was all frozen so it keeps while it's sitting out and even though from time to time the food stations got a little messy the staff was really quick to be wiping everything down as best they could. Not sure about the reviewer saying the place was "falling apart" cause it looked well kept to us. The section of sauce and flavor options was huge.
