All the hot pot locations have their perks. I like different ones for various reasons. What sets Qi Lin apart for me is they are a well rounded AYCE location, I like the meat selection better at Hot Pot Spot, the grilled skewers at Bronze Hot Pot, and the enoki/water cress selection at Yummy... But at Qi Lin, I love that they have some prepared food like marinated tofu, duck wings, the cucumber salad, and they give you some fried dumplings as an appetizer. They also have a great selection of pick your own veggies and noodles... but I really love that they have the individual cups of Blue Bunny ice cream, the fried sesame balls and fried dough as dessert. Most hot pot places either don't have dessert or they have scoop your own ice cream, so this individual cups or popsicles - feels more sanitary. The service was good, they bring out the meat of your choice and refill your water. The restaurant is big and clean, did not get a chance to use their restroom this time but would recommend if you like a variety, this is a good place to stop if you're in the area. read more

One of my favorite restaurants in boulder county. Service is amazing and the food is totally on point. It's not the best hot pot I have ever had but damn good and great value. If you live in Boulder this is a must go place as most of the Asian restaurants in Boulder are not great. If you have teenage boys you must come here. Initially I was confused. The menu was very simple but a bit uninforming. Then however, we picked our soup base and then headed over to the incredible arrangements of vegetables, sauces, and so much more. This place is an incredible modern style location with minimal distraction and traditional food. Our waiter was super kind and didn't know too much English which made it more enjoyable. This is a decent AYCE hot pot place on the border of a hot pot desert -- with Boulder county fire regulations prohibiting table side cooked dishes such as Korean BBQ and Hot Pot, Broomfield is the closest you'll find the affair. I appreciate that there's an option so close to home, but there's a few downsides, namely, they don't offer takeout, the table cooked non-seafood protein selection is limited, and their you tiao is frozen in the middle, leading to less tasty morsels due to the longer submersion time. Their lotus root is thick and hard, and some of the vegetables were on the less fresh side. A few of my favorite options were missing from the ingredient buffet--eggs, enoki, and the seafood options were great, aside from a lack of variety of shrimp nor various crustaceans. The highlight was definitely the sauce bar, which, aside from having excessively coarsely chopped jalapeños and missing white pepper (seemingly more rare these days), was pleasantly well stocked. Last weekend was our first visit, and we were a little disappointed that the 'pork bone' broth that was served... contained no pork bone (strangely they did give us each a 1/4 cob of corn, instead?) It also was served in very small hot pot dishes, forcing you to cook less/eat slower. The seating & decor is definitely nothing to write home about, though the ceiling is definitely a nice touch! We realized a little too late that there was a little dish tray under the edge of the table for stacking dishes when they're done being used. The service was definitely a highlight, as were the drink options, though, strangely I was given a single tea bag when attempting to order a pot of tea. The place was very well cleaned, but I did wish they had serving tongs available for handling raw meat table-side. This place reminded me a lot of Old Town in Aurora, but just enough better to prefer it. I'll be back, mostly for convenience, and the price point. If you can drive further south, there are better options, but maybe not any better at this price point. read more

A good place for Hot Pot, and when we visited service was perfect. I like that each person gets his/her own pot of broth, but the rest of the food can easily be shared. I had the spicy both which was just hot enough to give plenty of flavor to the food I'd cook. We ordered a small selection of everything, I didn't taste the meat but my friend enjoyed it (she got brisket and sheep), I especially liked the shrimp, lobster balls, mushrooms, dumplings and Packchoi cabbage. There is a buffet with condiments in the back of the room where you can help yourself. Hot Pot is all they offer and it's $30 per person, plus drinks. The food was delicious the two of us ordered about 7 plates of meat and it was super fresh. The sauce bar is also super clean as-well as the complimentary sides bar we weren't cut off and they also have a free birthday drink coupon! I can't say enough though about Mo and how great he was! Definitely will be back. This hot pot place is a hidden gem all you can eat 30$ and not busy at all! I was so excited to have a hot pot more north, but was not super impressed. One big reason is because of their veggies. We ordered enoki mushrooms, and it was clear that they did not wash them. They still had dirt all over them! I wish I had photos to share but I forgot to take a picture. It made us question if the other veggies were washed. Next, their broth was just okay. I always like an herbal broth from hot pot places, but I was not a fan of theirs. Next, the service was also not the best. Normally, I'm not in a rush to see my server check in on us; but we waited long periods before anyone came back to see if we wanted more food. It felt like maybe they forgot about us at times? It's possible they were busy doing other things! But it did feel a little awkward waiting. The space itself is fairly big, but nothing necessarily caught my eye about the atmosphere. Came here on a Tuesday night. It was rather after you but the food and service were great. The menu features a all you can eat style buffet type Offering and an unlimited sauce bar that has almost 10 to 20 different sauces you can make on your own. The staff was super friendly and attentive with their service ad. Gave great recommendations on what kind of broths pair well with what's on the menu. There is a very large selection of thinly sliced meats you can get everything from fatty cattle to brisket. I can definitely see myself returning here with a good group of friends, as it is easy to get a table and the menu options for hot pot some of the best you can get in Colorado. I've been to most hot pot places in Denver and I honestly think that this is one of the best places to go. This is very similar to Old Town hot pot (my other favorite) but is a much better location for me so I'll definitely be coming back. In my opinion this is one of the best all you can eat hot pot in town. The price is $29.99 for adults (I think they have different pricing for lunch). They have a good selection of broth. I really liked the tomato, the "truffle" is more of a mushroom broth I think and not actually truffle, the silky chicken is a bit plain. We ordered a variety of things and all of the ingredients came to us with great quality with a couple of exceptions: the shrimp didn't seem very fresh and the broccoli seems a bit old. The sauce bar is very extensive and they offer some appetizers like spring rolls, roast meats, and sesame balls. A suggestion for the restaurant is to include a couple of recipes for people who might need ideas on what to do at the sauce bar. The interior is very appealing and well designed. One critique is that the service wasn't very fast. This is understandable as it was the opening week when I went and they were very busy. Our orders came to us a little slow but we still had plenty of time to eat before our 2 hour limit was up. I'm curious to see if things improve next time I go. read more

Here's the deal. This place is so bad, I caution everybody to think twice before walking in... we got the all you can eat dinner and had no idea what to do. The servers didn't speak a lick of English and didn't even bother giving us directions. We would have accepted hand signals but there was just nothing there. The food was WAY over priced for how terrible the quality was. The broth had juniper berries or something in it that almost made your mouth numb and was just awful. The store is pretty straightforward; You order your meats and broth, then head to their buffet for additional fixings and make your sauces. Their options aren't huge, but they carry the most important ones like lobster balls and other seafood. The scenery is pretty cozy, hole-in-the-wall vibe, with little style projectors on the walls to make it less drab. Great local hot pot restaurant. I came with friends who had not tried hot pot before. The restaurant is clean and tidy. They have a great selection of seafood and meats and vegetables. There's some appetizers like cucumber, salad, spring rolls, and edamame at the sauce bar. Lots of vegetarian options as well. This restaurant has individual soup pots. Went here a day ago, and was not impressed. We ordered just about every protein on the menu, and had three different broths to try. Spicy wasn't really that spicy, herbal was just okay ... kinda "meh", and the chicken broth was bland as dish water. Only plus I can say is the amount of oysters we were able to order without the waitstaff giving us funny looks. The offal was good, however, the mini weiners were just horrible. They tasted funny, like they had gone bad. Build-your-own sauce bar was a nice touch. I added the sauce to my broth and added noodles, and was able to finish that broth off. It had very little flavor otherwise. Ice cream bar? More like, "where's the ice cream" bar. Nearly none was left when we went (around 6PM) and the ice scoops were left in the freezer. So, in addition to freezing your mittens off, you get to hold ice cold metal scoops. Fantastic! Was a good learning experience, but definitely won't return. Not recommended; there's better options elsewhere. read more

I'd say 5 stars for food and 3 stars for service. Not sure if they are currently understaffed or just trying to figure things out since they recently opened It is $29.99 for AYCE. You pick out your individual broth, which is nice because everyone in your group can have something different. The warmers built into the table is very nice and adjusts easily to keep your broth boiling or just warm. For a group of 5, we ordered all the meats, seafood, veggies, and noodles all at once in the beginning so that we didn't need to make a second order. I'm glad we did it this way because they don't really come around to check on you once you've received your food. There is a large selection of items to choose from. There is a self serve sauce station, which also included light snacks while you wait, such as egg rolls and sesame balls. To finish off, there is a self serve ice cream freezer as well. Overall, good hot pot for the price. Hopefully service will improve as they gain more experience and staff. read more

I've been coming here since early 2023 w my partner, probably have spent hundreds on this place at this point. Had some really terrible service after we found a bug larva in our food. The bug looked like a small maggot with legs, we found it at the end of our meal, and they gave us 50% off on the food. Ok, that's fine. But the waiter, who has seen us for years now, and even got into the habit of giving us free dumplings when we came in, asked if we'd been in before. I was shocked, so I didn't respond, my boyfriend said "yeah like 20 times" and the waiter said "good for you" in a condescending tone. Listen, I understand we almost finished our meal by the time we found it, but we didn't wait to show the bug, or try to scam our way into a free meal after years of coming here. Now I feel sick to my stomach being that we both had the same thing and have probably been eating bugs for years. Disgusting hygiene, disgusting attitude. This place is good! They do get really busy specially during dinner time and Friday nights (I imagine weekends too) but they do try their best to accommodate everyone. If you are not willing to wait for at least 30 minutes or more I recommend calling ahead and ask before driving to the restaurant. Our server was great! It was just the 2 of us so we were only able to order 2 meats at a time but that was not a big deal. They have varieties of seafood also but if you are use to Aki Asian menu, Kirin does not have much choices as them. It's $29.99 per person about $65 after tax for 2 person. read more

Worse customer service ever. It took 45 minutes for them to serve us. They brought us someone else's order then gave us half our order. We asked 2 different servers to check on our food we did not receive and they responded with yes but never returned. After 1hour and 30 mins of receiving half our order we asked to speak to a manager. They brought a "kitchen worker" to the front and told us he was the owner and that he didn't speak english and they would translate. We made the server explain her poor service to the owner but the whole time she was just laughing and giggling so I doubt she explained anything to this gentleman and I doubt he was the owner. If you're wondering why service is bad. The owners don't let the servers keep tips. If you died or got food poisoning.
