I have a little fear of falling in the water, so it was a relief the boards came with an option of small attachment to my ankle. I had two objectives and would have considered this outing a win if either were accomplished: 1) conquer my fear of water and have a blast 2) let fear of the unknown beasties in the water wash over me and be out as little money as possible. Hui hui set me up for success in either scenario. There was a Groupon for $35 which included 2 boards/paddles and 2 hours. If I froze I would only be out $35...that was cool with me! Kris was the person who brought our boards and gave us a brief lesson which was perfect. I just needed to know the basics in the least amount of time possible. More detail means more time and more time means more anxiety about the deep unknown! He set us free to go on our own for 2 hours. Scenario #1 accomplished! Had an awesome experience paddle boarding in Sail Bay over the weekend. I called to inquire about renting a couple boards and Kris was quick to get me set up. Hands down the best deal around PB to rent sup boards.. we come down every year and stay close to the boat house rowing club. Kris had no problem meeting us right at the end of Dawes. Amazing 1st Time!!! Kris picked a perfect launch spot off Mooreland And Riviera, so that the wind would push us back in after we got tired! He met with us within the Hr we called and gave us great pointers to begin confidently. We had waterproof cell bags, and half way through he checked in on us to see how we were doing. It was so easy to rent the board and pay for it, I was able to do it the day before with no issue. My friend and I had paddle boarded before so we felt like we would be okay, but Kris explained the wind and current to us so we wouldn't have such a hard time in the water. Kris sent me the location of where we would meet and it wasn't hard to find. We stayed on the water almost the whole 4 hours time period and we just texted him when we came back in to pick up the gear. $45 each and we're literally so glad we found this place, it was such a good time! We've rented with them twice and they meet you right at Fanuel St Park in the bay and give you your paddleboards and paddle and vest. Kris is a cool guy and makes it really easy for you.
